DXC Technology says it is working with LangChain to expand governed AI agents in its OASIS platform for enterprise IT operations. DXC says OASIS already uses LangGraph for agent orchestration and is licensing LangSmith for development, evaluation and observability. The partnership announcement, issued October 13, 2026, also reports faster incident resolution across more than 500 measured use cases—but those performance figures are DXC’s claims, not independently verified results.
What the DXC–LangChain partnership covers
DXC announced the partnership on October 13, 2026, describing it as a way to advance governed agentic AI in mission-critical enterprise IT operations. The work centers on DXC OASIS, which DXC calls both an intelligent orchestration platform and an operating model.
DXC says it already uses LangGraph within OASIS and is licensing LangSmith. In the announcement, LangGraph is described as the open-source framework OASIS uses to coordinate agents, including delegation, state management and human-in-the-loop workflows. LangSmith is used for agent development, evaluation and observability.

In practical terms, the system is intended to respond to operational events, investigate issues in parallel, draw on specialized technology-domain capabilities and involve people when a judgment or approval is needed. The announcement describes the intended operating model, but does not provide an independent technical assessment of the implementation.

How DXC says OASIS governs agent actions
DXC says agents work within defined authority rather than having unrestricted permission to act. The company says it assesses potential actions using factors such as reversibility, impact, verifiability and the agent’s track record. Sensitive actions can pause for human approval, and agent decisions, tool calls and outcomes are traced.
DXC also says OASIS agents can draw on system-specific and customer-specific information, DXC operational expertise and vendor documentation to ground their reasoning in a customer’s environment. These are DXC’s descriptions of its controls and context sources; the announcement does not include an independent security review or detailed control specifications.

Deployment and model choices
DXC describes OASIS as model agnostic and able to interoperate with third-party and customer-owned systems. It says customers can select models according to workload needs such as quality, cost, latency and privacy. DXC also says deployments can run in public cloud, private cloud, dedicated or sovereign environments without redesigning the underlying architecture, while customers retain control of their data, workflows and operational capabilities. These architecture and control statements are company claims, not independently assessed findings.

DXC says OASIS is in production and scaling toward 125 customer environments across regulated industries and multiple geographies. “Toward” is important: the announcement presents 125 as a scale target, not as 125 completed deployments. DXC says its performance results cover more than 500 measured use cases.

| Measure or example | DXC-reported result |
|---|---|
| Average resolution time reduction | 95% across more than 500 measured use cases, according to DXC |
| Diagnostic accuracy | 92% or better when validated against senior engineer judgment, according to DXC |
| Filesystem incidents | 53–90 minutes reduced to 3–6 minutes in examples cited by DXC |
| Database performance incidents | 2–3 hours reduced to 5–12 minutes in examples cited by DXC |
| Complex problem management | 2–6 days reduced to 8–10 minutes in an example cited by DXC |
The figures should not be read as a forecast for every customer or incident. DXC’s announcement does not explain the measurement design, the number of cases in each incident category, how the examples were selected, or the baseline conditions. It also does not provide an independent validation of the reported results or the diagnostic-accuracy methodology. The accuracy figure is specifically described as a comparison with senior engineer judgment.
What the announcement means for enterprise IT teams
The partnership combines an orchestration framework and an agent-development and observability toolset with DXC’s OASIS platform and operational services. For an organization assessing a similar workflow, the relevant questions are not only which model is used, but also what information agents can access, what actions they may take, which actions require approval, and how decisions and tool calls are reviewed.

DXC’s announcement points to several practical evaluation dimensions: model quality, cost, latency and privacy; the deployment environment; the customer’s control over data and workflows; and the amount of human approval and traceability required by each task. The release does not provide a head-to-head product comparison or enough detail to determine which deployment pattern or model is appropriate for a particular organization.
What remains unverified
The announcement is a company-issued account of a partnership and DXC’s OASIS deployment and results. It supports reporting what DXC says it is doing, including its stated governance approach and performance figures. It does not, by itself, establish that the controls have been independently audited, that the reported improvements will recur in other environments, or that the stated architecture and security properties have been independently verified.
