“Vote in a dreamy contest in the Valleyverse” means voting on other players’ DreamSnaps submissions. In the game, open Events → DreamSnaps → Vote Now during the voting period, then vote until the active duty registers its required number. The exact duty, count, and reward can vary by event, and this wording may refer to a past Star Path task rather than a duty available now.
What the dreamy contest means
It is not a separate multiplayer contest. The phrase is a Star Path duty for DreamSnaps, Disney Dreamlight Valley’s recurring photo challenge. Players submit photos for a weekly theme, and voting on submissions from the previous challenge follows during the next week. Disney’s DreamSnaps overview describes the feature and its voting period; historical Star Path listings and a guide also identify the phrase with DreamSnaps voting. Dreamlight Valley Wiki’s Star Path listing and All Things How’s guide provide those interpretations.
How to complete the duty
- Open the game menu and select Events.
- Choose DreamSnaps, then select Vote Now when voting is open.
- Vote on entries until the active duty shows that its required count is complete. Use the number shown in your game rather than one from an older guide.
- Check the duty and event screens to confirm completion and see the reward attached to your event.
Why older voting instructions may look different
Disney’s September 23, 2026 Season of Scares update notes describe an updated 1v1 voting interface and a Super Vote option that lets players vote for both presented entries at once. The June 3, 2026 update notes say the limit on skips during DreamSnaps voting was removed. If an older guide’s screen or labels do not match yours, follow the active in-game prompts.

A historical example helps explain why there is no single count to memorize: the Pop City Star Path listing for August 26–September 2, 2026 required 20 votes for this Routine Duty. That figure applies to that dated segment, not every appearance of the task. Check your own active duty for its count.

Keep the general DreamSnaps voting reward separate from a Star Path duty payout. Disney’s official overview says players can earn an additional 50 Moonstones per challenge by voting. All Things How reports 25 tokens and 50 Moonstones for the particular event instance its guide covers; that is not a universal Star Path reward. Your event screen is the authority for the payout currently attached to your task.

The exact wording appears in older Star Path records. Disney’s September 23, 2026 Season of Scares notes say weekly Routine Duties are being replaced by Daily Duties, so this specific Routine Duty may be historical or absent from the current event cycle. The available official information does not establish the full live event schedule for October 2026. Check the current Events screen and duty list rather than assuming the phrase is active.

Disney’s Beginner’s Guide says weekly DreamSnaps themes change on Wednesday at 1 p.m. UTC. That schedule concerns the challenge theme and does not confirm that this exact Star Path duty is available.
