You can listen to the official Dragon’s Dogma 2 Original Soundtrack outside the game in two confirmed ways: stream it through services named by Capcom, including Spotify and Apple Music, or buy the downloadable soundtrack listed on Steam. The album contains 87 tracks. The U.S. Apple Music listing reports a total runtime of 3 hours 19 minutes, while Steam sells the music as additional content rather than as part of the game.
Service catalogs, regional access, prices and storefront compatibility can change. Search your local catalog or store listing immediately before subscribing or buying.
Where to listen to the Dragon’s Dogma 2 soundtrack
Capcom announced on November 21, 2024 that the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Original Soundtrack was available through Spotify, Apple Music, the e-Capcom Digital Store and other music services. The official CAP’S TONE information also identifies it as an 87-track collection. These are the clearest official options for hearing the game’s music away from the game itself.

Streaming is the simplest choice if you already use a supported music service. Capcom specifically named Spotify and Apple Music, and the U.S. Apple Music listing shows the complete 87-song album. Availability is catalog-based, so the album may appear under a different regional listing, be unavailable in a particular territory, or change availability later.

Steam downloadable soundtrack
Steam lists a CAPCOM-published downloadable soundtrack as additional content. The product page says it does not include the base game. Steam displays the product with a November 20, 2024 release date; the Capcom announcement and U.S. Apple Music page show November 21, 2024. The one-day difference is best treated as a storefront or release-date presentation difference, not as evidence of two different albums.
Digital store listing
Capcom’s announcement also names the e-Capcom Digital Store. Because storefront catalogs and purchasing rules differ by country, open the store for your region and confirm that the soundtrack is offered there before relying on it as your download route.
| Route | What the official information establishes | Best for | Check before using |
|---|---|---|---|
| Spotify or Apple Music | Capcom named both services; Apple Music U.S. lists 87 songs. | Listeners who already have a music-service account and want immediate playback. | Local catalog availability, account or plan requirements, and offline-listening rules. |
| Steam soundtrack | CAPCOM-published downloadable additional content; the base game is not included. | Players who want a store purchase associated with Steam rather than a streaming catalog. | Current price, operating-system compatibility, download location and whether the listing is available in your country. |
| e-Capcom Digital Store | Named by Capcom as an official digital distribution route. | Users whose regional Capcom store offers the soundtrack. | Regional storefront, payment support and the format supplied after purchase. |
What is on the album?
The official collection has 87 tracks. The U.S. Apple Music listing gives the album a runtime of 3 hours 19 minutes and credits the album artist as Capcom Sound Team. Steam’s listing provides examples such as “Title Theme – Tale’s Beginning,” “Return of the Sovran,” “The Cycle Begins,” and “Battle Theme – Vermund.” Track order, labels and bonus-content presentation can differ slightly between storefronts, so use the local listing as the final reference.

The 87-track count is stated by Capcom’s November 21, 2024 announcement and its CAP’S TONE page. The 3-hour-19-minute runtime is specific to the U.S. Apple Music listing; it should not be assumed for every regional service listing if tracks are edited, grouped differently or displayed with different metadata.
How to recognize the official album
Several releases can appear when you search for a game soundtrack. Check the full title, the Capcom Sound Team artist credit shown by Apple Music, and the presence of 87 tracks. The sample titles from Steam are useful cross-checks: an album containing “Title Theme – Tale’s Beginning,” “Return of the Sovran,” “The Cycle Begins,” and “Battle Theme – Vermund” is more likely to be the intended release than a user-made playlist with a similar name.
Do not treat a playlist as proof that you found the complete soundtrack. Playlists can contain selected tracks, music from the earlier Dragon’s Dogma, remixes or uploads made by other users. Open the album or product page, inspect the credited artist and count the listed tracks before saving it.
How to find it on a streaming service
- Open the service available in your country. Use the service’s own app or website and make sure you are viewing the catalog for your account’s region.
- Search the full title. Enter
Dragon’s Dogma 2 Original Soundtrack. Searching only “Dragon’s Dogma” can surface music from the earlier game or unrelated playlists. - Verify the album identity. Look for the 87-track collection and the Capcom Sound Team credit shown by the U.S. Apple Music listing. Check the track names against the official examples if several results appear.
- Open the album rather than a user playlist. A playlist may contain selected tracks, remixes or music from another release. The album page is the authoritative way to confirm that you have the complete release.
- Check local access before planning a trip or offline session. Start a track and confirm that it plays in your territory. If your service supports downloads, follow its current download control and verify that the tracks remain available under its offline rules.
- Save the album through the service’s normal control. Add it to your library or follow it using the label your service provides. This makes it easier to return to the album if search results change, but it does not guarantee permanent licensing.
If the album does not appear, try the title without punctuation, search for “Capcom Sound Team,” and check the service’s country setting. Do not infer that the soundtrack was removed solely because a search result is missing; catalog rights and regional indexing can produce different results. A result visible to a friend in another country is not proof that the same entry is licensed in your territory.

Streaming requirements and limitations
You need an account with the service you choose, and the service’s own plan determines whether playback, advertising, downloads or other controls are available. Capcom’s announcement establishes the named services, but it does not create a universal subscription entitlement. Review the current terms in your country rather than assuming that a feature available on one service also exists on another.
Offline listening is also service-specific. If the app offers a download button, use that control and test a track while temporarily offline according to the service’s rules. A saved album inside an app is not the same as a permanent audio-file purchase, and a catalog change can affect future playback.

How to get the Steam download
- Open Steam and search for the soundtrack. Use the store search for
Dragon’s Dogma 2 Original Soundtrack, then select the listing published by CAPCOM. - Read the product details. Confirm that the page identifies the item as downloadable additional content and states that the game itself is not included.
- Review the current price and compatibility. The listing displayed a U.S. price of $29.99 when it was surfaced, but that figure is not a guaranteed current or worldwide price. Steam can show different currencies, taxes and availability by storefront.
- Complete the purchase if the listing suits your needs. Keep the transaction receipt in your Steam account so you can locate the item again if you change computers.
- Locate the files after purchase. Steam’s labels and soundtrack-library layout can change. Look in your Library for the game’s associated downloadable content or soundtrack entry, and use the product page’s installation or playback controls. If no entry appears, restart the Steam client and check the game’s downloadable-content management view.
Buying the Steam item is separate from owning the game unless the store explicitly presents a bundle. The soundtrack listing itself says it does not include the base game. You therefore should not add the soundtrack to your cart expecting it to provide a game license.
What the Steam listing tells you
The Steam page identifies the publisher as CAPCOM, labels the soundtrack as additional content and gives the downloadable product a November 20, 2024 date. It also displays storefront-specific compatibility and pricing information. Those details are useful for deciding whether the purchase fits your setup, but they are not fixed worldwide specifications. Read the page shown to your account, including currency, taxes, operating-system notes and any regional purchase warning.
If the soundtrack does not appear in your Library after purchase, first confirm that the transaction completed on the same Steam account. Then revisit the product page and the game’s downloadable-content management view, and restart the client if necessary. The interface can change, so follow the labels Steam currently displays instead of relying on an old screenshot or a third-party installation guide.
Using the e-Capcom Digital Store
Capcom’s announcement names the e-Capcom Digital Store as another official route. The exact storefront, payment methods and file-delivery process depend on the country site you open. Visit the regional store, search the complete soundtrack title and read the product description for the supplied format and download instructions.
Do not assume that an e-Capcom listing in one country can be purchased from another country, or that a digital-store purchase has the same account integration as Steam. Confirm the currency, territory eligibility, payment support and how you will retrieve the files after purchase. If the listing is absent, use one of the other officially named services available to your region rather than relying on an unofficial upload.
Which option should you choose?
Choose streaming when convenience matters most
- You already maintain an account on a service named by Capcom.
- You want to start listening without making a separate soundtrack purchase.
- You are comfortable with access depending on the service’s catalog and account rules.
- You want to move between devices using the service’s normal library and playback features.
Choose the Steam download when you prefer a store purchase
- You want the soundtrack associated with your Steam library.
- You prefer downloading the listed additional content instead of relying on a streaming catalog.
- You have checked the current price, compatibility and regional listing.
- You understand that the purchase is soundtrack content only and does not include the base game.
Choose the Capcom digital store when it is the available local option
- Your country’s e-Capcom Digital Store lists the soundtrack.
- You prefer purchasing directly through Capcom’s regional storefront.
- You have confirmed what file format and download access the local listing supplies.
- You have checked how the store handles account access and redownloads.
| Decision point | Streaming | Steam or e-Capcom download |
|---|---|---|
| Up-front payment | Depends on the service account and plan; Capcom does not set one universal subscription price. | A separate purchase; Steam showed $29.99 in the U.S. when surfaced, while regional prices can differ. |
| Access model | Catalog access governed by the service and territory. | Store purchase and download access governed by the storefront and account. |
| Best verification | Confirm the album plays locally and shows 87 tracks. | Confirm publisher, product type, current price, compatibility and delivery instructions. |
| Game ownership | Not relevant to listening through the music service. | The Steam soundtrack does not include the game. |
Release dates, price and regional caveats
There is no single date that every official listing presents. Steam dates its downloadable product November 20, 2024. Capcom’s announcement is dated November 21, 2024, and the U.S. Apple Music listing also presents November 21, 2024. When documenting the release, identify the storefront or announcement attached to the date rather than converting these into one universal timestamp. The one-day difference is consistent with different storefront or release-date presentation practices.
The Steam page displayed $29.99 in the U.S. when it was found. That was a displayed storefront price, not a permanent global price or a promise that taxes, discounts or currency conversion will be the same for you. Confirm the amount on your own regional page immediately before purchase. No single subscription or download cost applies to every country.
Streaming availability can vary by territory and can change after an album is released. A search result from another country does not prove that the same catalog entry is licensed in yours. The same caution applies to the e-Capcom Digital Store and Steam: storefront compatibility and purchase access are regional details that must be checked locally.
Is there a physical CD, vinyl record or sheet-music book?
The official information available here confirms digital services and the Steam download. It does not establish a physical CD, vinyl edition, soundtrack book or sheet-music release. That is not proof that no physical product exists anywhere; it means a physical edition should not be promised on the basis of the confirmed listings. If a retailer advertises one, verify that it is an authorized product and check its region, format and release information independently.

Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesThe composers’ idea behind the music
Capcom composer Satoshi Hori connects the score to the game’s Hero’s Journey theme: “With the ‘Hero’s Journey’ serving as one of the core themes of the game, we have crafted a soundtrack of pieces that poetically depict the Arisen journey as they confront the world and its truths.” His second description emphasizes range rather than a single genre: “We invite you to enjoy a diverse musical palette, ranging from rare, unique instruments to powerful, sweeping orchestras.”
Those comments explain why the album can move between intimate, unusual timbres and large orchestral writing without treating the contrast as a mistake. They are composer statements about the score’s intent, not a promise that every storefront will organize the tracks into thematic suites.
Other CAP’S TONE notes add personal context. Hana Kimura writes, “Every one of these songs is filled with so many memories.” Shusaku Uchiyama says, “I worked on the music for the traveling musicians and various event cutscenes!” These remarks point listeners toward details beyond battle themes, including music associated with travel and story events.
A practical listening plan
- Decide whether you want catalog access or a purchase. Streaming is convenient if your local service carries the album. A download is more appropriate if you specifically want a store transaction and the listed files.
- Check your country first. Open the local Apple Music, Spotify, Steam or e-Capcom storefront rather than relying on a foreign link or screenshot.
- Confirm the release identity. Match the full title, CAPCOM or Capcom Sound Team credit and the 87-track count where the listing displays it.
- Check the practical terms. For streaming, review account and offline rules. For a download, review current price, currency, compatibility and how files are delivered.
- Test access immediately. Play a track on the device you plan to use. If you bought a download, locate the associated entry and confirm that the supplied content can be opened with the software your platform supports.
- Keep the correct link or library entry. Save the official album or product page so you can return to it without confusing it with a playlist, an older game soundtrack or an unofficial upload.
Common pitfalls
- Confusing the two Dragon’s Dogma games: Search results may mix releases. Include “2 Original Soundtrack” and verify the track examples.
- Assuming every country has the same catalog: A listing visible in the U.S. or another territory may not be licensed locally.
- Assuming the Steam price is permanent: The observed U.S. $29.99 figure can change with currency, taxes, discounts or storefront updates.
- Buying the Steam item expecting the game: The product is additional content and explicitly does not include the base game.
- Treating a playlist as the album: User playlists can omit tracks or combine unrelated music. Verify the album page and count.
- Turning a missing search result into a removal claim: Regional indexing, account settings and catalog changes can explain a missing result. Check the local service and alternate official route.
- Assuming a physical edition is confirmed: The verified official paths are digital. Treat retailer claims separately and verify authorization and format.

Is the Steam soundtrack the same 87-track album?
Steam lists the CAPCOM-published soundtrack and gives examples of tracks from the collection. Confirm the current product page and local metadata for the exact presentation available to your account.
Does buying the Steam soundtrack include Dragon’s Dogma 2?
No. Steam describes it as additional content and says the game itself is not included. Purchase the base game separately unless a current store page explicitly offers a bundle.
How much does the Steam download cost?
The U.S. listing displayed $29.99 when it was surfaced. Prices, taxes, currency and discounts can change, so use your regional Steam page for the current amount.
Why can’t I find the album?
Check your service’s country setting, search the complete title, try “Capcom Sound Team,” and distinguish an album page from a user playlist. Catalog licensing and regional indexing can make an entry visible in one territory but absent in another.
Can I listen offline?
Streaming offline playback depends on the service and your account’s current rules. Use its download control and test playback under those rules. A Steam or e-Capcom download follows the storefront’s delivery and compatibility instructions.
Was the Dragon’s Dogma 2 soundtrack removed from Apple Music or Spotify?
A missing result by itself does not establish removal. Check your local catalog, account region and the complete title first. Availability can vary or change by territory.
Is there a CD, vinyl record or official sheet-music book?
The confirmed listings establish digital services and a Steam download, but they do not establish a physical CD, vinyl, soundtrack book or sheet-music edition. Verify any retailer claim independently.
Why do official pages show different release dates?
Steam shows November 20, 2024 for its downloadable product, while Capcom’s announcement and the U.S. Apple Music listing show November 21, 2024. Cite the date together with the storefront or announcement rather than forcing one universal date.
Who composed the music?
CAP’S TONE composer notes include Satoshi Hori, Hana Kimura and Shusaku Uchiyama. Hori describes the Hero’s Journey as a core theme and the palette as ranging from rare instruments to sweeping orchestras.
