The old Dragon’s Dogma 2 Deluxe Edition and the newer Dark Arisen bundle are different products: the Deluxe Edition paired the base game with the New Journey Pack, while the bundle pairs the base game with the paid Dark Arisen Expansion. If you already own the game, compare the standalone expansion; if you do not, compare the bundle’s local price with buying both separately.
What are the current Dragon’s Dogma 2 purchase options?
For a new player, the main choice is the base game alone or a package that also includes Dark Arisen. Existing owners should look at the standalone expansion, which requires the base game. A former Deluxe Edition may still appear in listings, but its contents are not the same as the Dark Arisen bundle.

What does the Dark Arisen Expansion include?
A new story in Norgan
Capcom describes a new story area, Norgan, where the player joins Eir in investigating the Fallen Dragon. The official description reads: “Adventure forth to the long-abandoned region of Norgan and join forces with the enigmatic Eir, who seeks to unravel the secrets of the undying Fallen Dragon.” Capcom’s expansion page

Lost Rites challenges and character options
The listed additions include 12 Lost Rites dungeon challenges, plus new hairstyles and tattoos for the Arisen and Pawns. The announced details establish what is included, but do not establish the expansion’s playtime, quality, or performance.
Does the Deluxe Edition include Dark Arisen?
No. The former Deluxe Edition was described as the base game plus A Boon for Adventurers – New Journey Pack. Dark Arisen is a separate paid expansion, and the Dark Arisen bundle is the package described by PlayStation as containing both the base game and expansion. Do not treat “Deluxe Edition” and “Dark Arisen bundle” as interchangeable names.

Capcom’s notice said sales of the Deluxe Edition through Capcom Town Store would end at 9:00 JST on June 25, 2026, while the base game would remain available there. A third-party listing may differ in availability or legitimacy, so confirm the exact product and seller rather than relying on the edition name alone.

Which option is worth buying for you?
If you do not own Dragon’s Dogma 2
Compare the Dark Arisen bundle with the total cost of buying the base game and expansion separately in your platform’s regional store. The US Capcom prices observed on October 9, 2026 were $49.99 for the bundle and $29.99 for the standalone expansion, but these figures do not establish which route is cheaper in another region or at a later date. Choose the base game alone if you would rather defer the expansion decision.

If you already own the base game
Look at the standalone Dark Arisen Expansion, not a bundle that charges again for the base game. It is the relevant add-on for players specifically interested in the Norgan story and dungeon challenges; its cosmetic additions are an additional, rather than necessary, reason to buy.
If you find a Deluxe Edition listing
Check the platform, seller, and included items. The Deluxe label refers to the New Journey Pack according to Steam’s description, not the Dark Arisen content. Capcom’s end-of-sale notice was specific to Capcom Town Store, so it should not be read as proof that every possible listing has disappeared.

- Whether you already own the base game; the expansion cannot be used without it.
- Whether the listing is the standalone expansion, the base game, the former Deluxe Edition, or the Dark Arisen bundle.
- Your platform and region, since the cited prices are US-store figures and local totals can differ.
- The current bundle and separate prices in the same storefront, so you can compare like with like.
- For an old Deluxe listing, the seller’s legitimacy and the precise contents shown on the product page.
Capcom announced Dark Arisen as an expansion for Dragon’s Dogma 2, released in March 2024. Its June 10, 2026 company release reported 14 million cumulative units for the Dragon’s Dogma series as a whole, not sales of Dragon’s Dogma 2 alone. CAPCOM Co., Ltd. release
