Bandai Namco’s 9 October 2026 roadmap for DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO puts a new solo challenge and a cooperative mode on the horizon, alongside additional modes and DLC. The clearest timing so far: Tower of Power is planned for winter 2026, Team-up is targeted for around spring 2027, and a limited cross-play beta is planned after summer 2027. These are plans, not guaranteed release dates, and Bandai Namco says timing varies by platform.
What’s next for Sparking! ZERO?
The anniversary roadmap separates upcoming additions into solo play, cooperative play, cross-play testing, and further updates. Some features have seasonal targets; others do not yet have a specific date.
| Roadmap item | What it is | Timing and status |
|---|---|---|
| Tower of Power | Solo challenge mode with increasingly difficult battles; completing it can earn Ki Aura customization items. | Scheduled for winter 2026, according to the official DRAGON BALL site. |
| Team-up | Cooperative mode for up to five players, each controlling one character in individual 1v1 battles. | Targeted for around spring 2027; this is a target, not a confirmed launch date. |
| Cross Play | Limited beta for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. | Planned after summer 2027. A full cross-play release is not confirmed; further official-release details are forthcoming. |
| Mission 100 SP, Survival Mode SP, more updates, and paid DLC | Additional modes, updates, and playable characters through paid DLC. | Specific timing and content depend on platform and have not been fully detailed. |
Bandai Namco’s anniversary announcement presents these as roadmap plans, not features that are all available now. The publisher says more details will be shared later. Read the 9 October 2026 anniversary announcement.

How will Team-up work?
Team-up is planned as a cooperative mode for up to five players. Each player controls one character, and the group fights in individual 1v1 battles. The official site gives a target of around spring 2027, which should be treated as an approximate target rather than a firm launch commitment.
Is cross-play confirmed?
No full cross-play launch is confirmed in the roadmap. Bandai Namco plans a limited beta after summer 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam, and says details about an official release will come later. The beta plan should not be read as confirmation of when—or whether—a full release will follow.

Which updates are free, and what does the paid DLC add?
The DRAGON BALL Official Site says free update content can be played without owning Super Limit-Breaking NEO. The paid DLC adds Limit Breaker Journey and other content. The anniversary announcement also lists new paid DLC with playable characters, but does not provide a complete schedule or platform-by-platform content breakdown.

The roadmap is not necessarily synchronized across platforms: Bandai Namco explicitly says it varies by platform. The cited announcements establish current NEO availability on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam, while giving no specific Switch or Switch 2 release date for the DLC. They do not provide a complete, dated platform schedule for each upcoming mode. Check the announcement for your platform before treating a seasonal target or feature as available.

What has the producer said about future details?
In a 26 January 2026 producer update, Jun Furutani, producer of DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO, said: “We will be sharing more details gradually, so please stay tuned for future updates.” That earlier statement reflects a gradual update cadence; it does not add dates to the anniversary roadmap.
