If you need a one-page agency website for a small business, consultancy, freelance practice, startup, or local service, the WebNots Agency template is presented as a free Bootstrap-based HTML design. The practical catch is that the publisher’s page does not expose a direct one-click download URL: it directs you to view the demo or contact WebNots to obtain the files.
Before publishing a client site, download the package through the publisher’s current contact or demo path, inspect every file and license, customize index.html and assets/images, test the advertised forms and payment elements, then upload the complete folder to your host.
What the free Agency HTML template is
The template is a one-page HTML layout built with Bootstrap. WebNots positions it for agencies, small businesses, freelancers, consultants, startups, marketing companies, and local service providers that want a compact presentation site rather than a large content-management system.

Its advertised layout is intended to adapt to mobile phones, tablets, and desktop screens. The page also promotes a sticky navigation bar with a top information strip, a custom logo and favicon, business highlights, opening hours, a three-plan pricing table, PayPal integration, animated circular skill indicators, a contact form, social links, and a footer.
Those are publisher feature claims, not independent test results. A template can include the visual section or a form markup without providing the server-side processing, security configuration, PayPal credentials, spam protection, or accessibility behavior required for production. Treat each integration as something to verify in your own copy.

How to get the files
The page’s download area provides a “View Demo” link and a “Contact Us” link. It says to contact the publisher to get the free template, so do not assume that the page offers an immediate ZIP download. The exact contact workflow and file package may change.
- Open the current Agency template page. Confirm that the page still describes the same one-page Bootstrap design and note any revised contact instructions.
- Use the demo to inspect the sections. Check navigation, mobile behavior, pricing cards, skill indicators, contact fields, social icons, and footer content before requesting the files.
- Contact the publisher through the page’s current contact route. Ask for the complete template package, including stylesheets, scripts, images, fonts, icons, and any readme or license documents.
- Save the original archive unchanged. Keep a backup of the delivered files and record the date you received them. This makes it possible to restore the original when a customization breaks the layout.
- Read the package documentation before client work. Look for attribution requirements, restrictions on redistribution, asset licenses, and instructions for third-party services.
The article does not state a template version, a verified last-updated date, or a direct download address. The page displayed June 18, 2026 when accessed; an exact-title search result showed August 12, 2026, so those dates should not be treated as a single confirmed publication date.
What you need before editing
- A desktop text editor capable of saving UTF-8 HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files.
- A browser with developer tools for checking responsive layouts, console errors, and network requests.
- The complete template folder, not only
index.html. Missing assets will produce broken images, icons, styles, or scripts. - Hosting access that can accept static HTML files, normally through a file manager, SFTP, or an equivalent deployment method.
- Credentials and configuration details for any service you intend to connect, such as a mail endpoint or PayPal account.
- Approved logo files, favicon artwork, business copy, opening hours, pricing, contact details, social profile URLs, and legally usable photos.
The publisher says the file can be edited with any text editor and identifies index.html and the assets/images folder as the main customization locations. In practice, inspect the whole directory first. CSS, JavaScript, font, and plugin files may control the appearance and behavior even when the visible text is in index.html.
Customize the template step by step
1. Make a working copy
Duplicate the original folder and edit the duplicate. Use a simple naming scheme such as agency-site-working, and keep dated backups after major changes. Do not upload half-edited files over the only live copy.
2. Change the document identity
In index.html, replace the page title and meta description with a specific description of the business and service area. Check the language attribute, character encoding, viewport declaration, canonical setting if present, and favicon reference. A generic title such as “Agency” wastes the search snippet and gives screen-reader users little context.

3. Replace the logo and favicon
Upload the approved logo into the image directory, then update the image source and alternative text. Preserve the dimensions or adjust the CSS if the new artwork has a different aspect ratio. Replace the favicon reference with the correct file and test it in a private browser window, because browsers often cache old icons.

4. Rewrite every section
Replace placeholder headings, service descriptions, business highlights, opening hours, contact information, and social links. Search the entire folder for the old company name, sample email addresses, telephone numbers, and demo URLs; changing only the obvious hero text often leaves inaccurate details in the footer or metadata.
5. Update images responsibly
Put replacement images in assets/images using web-friendly dimensions and descriptive filenames. Compress large photographs, preserve sharpness for logos, and provide meaningful alternative text. Confirm that you have permission to use each image; the Bootstrap framework’s license does not automatically license template photographs, icons, fonts, or illustrations.
6. Configure pricing and hours
Edit the three pricing plans only after deciding whether they represent actual services, packages, or a starting-price message. Show currency and billing frequency clearly, state what is included, and remove unused plans rather than leaving misleading filler. Verify opening hours against the business’s real holiday and time-zone policy.
7. Inspect the PayPal section
The publisher advertises PayPal integration, but the page does not document how it is implemented or establish that it is production-ready. Identify whether the code is a simple button, a client-side example, or a complete checkout flow. Use sandbox credentials for testing, confirm success and cancellation returns, and never place secret keys in browser-delivered JavaScript. If the package contains no secure server-side component, obtain implementation guidance from PayPal’s current documentation before accepting payments.

Submit the form with valid and invalid values. Determine where the submission goes and whether the package includes a server endpoint, mail service, or only front-end markup. Check required fields, error messages, confirmation behavior, spam controls, and notification delivery. A form that appears on screen is not proof that messages reach the business.
9. Review social links and navigation
Replace every social URL and remove networks the business does not use. Test sticky navigation at narrow widths, verify that each anchor lands on the intended section, and ensure the top information bar does not cover headings when a visitor jumps to an anchor.
10. Check accessibility and performance
Use keyboard-only navigation, visible focus indicators, sensible heading order, readable color contrast, labels for form controls, and alternative text for informative images. Test at slow network speed and on a real phone. Animated circular indicators should not convey the only copy of a skill level, and motion should be reduced or disabled for visitors who request reduced motion when the scripts permit it.
Publish the finished site
- Run a final search for demo text, sample contact details, placeholder links, and accidental credentials.
- Open the site locally or on a staging host and check the browser console for missing files, JavaScript exceptions, and blocked requests.
- Test the layout at phone, tablet, and desktop widths, including landscape orientation.
- Verify the contact workflow and payment flow in their test modes before enabling any live transaction.
- Upload
index.htmltogether with the complete assets folder and every referenced CSS, JavaScript, font, and image file. - Visit the public URL in a fresh browser, test all links again, and inspect the page source to ensure the intended title and meta description are live.
Uploading only index.html is a common failure. The page may load as unstyled text or show empty image areas when the associated assets are omitted or placed in the wrong path.
License and commercial-use checks
The Agency article does not publish the template’s own license text, attribution rules, or a complete asset inventory. Do not infer permission to resell, redistribute, remove credits, or reuse bundled images. Ask the publisher for written terms if the site is for a paying client or if you plan to include the files in a product.
Bootstrap’s framework license is a separate issue. Bootstrap’s official v5.0 License FAQs state: “Bootstrap is released under the MIT license and is copyright 2021 Twitter.” The MIT terms permit personal and commercial use and modification while requiring preservation of the license and copyright notice in the Bootstrap CSS and JavaScript files. That statement applies to Bootstrap files; it does not automatically clear the Agency template’s custom code, photographs, icons, fonts, or other bundled assets.

Keep the original license and readme files in your project archive. If the template contains third-party libraries, check each library’s notice independently. When no template license is supplied, obtain clarification before transferring the package to a client, publishing it as a downloadable theme, or using it in multiple unrelated projects.
How it compares with other free agency templates
Alternatives can be useful when the WebNots package lacks documentation or when its sections do not match your project. Compare the actual files and terms rather than assuming that every “free Bootstrap template” has the same rights or maintenance history.

| HTML Design business and agency listings | Version varies by individual template | Sections vary by listing | Its terms retain a “free template via html.design” footer line for free use, with a paid license offered to remove that attribution; do not apply these terms to other templates |
Use five checks when deciding: the license and required attribution, the sections and integrations you actually need, the framework version and maintenance activity, whether source assets are included, and how contact or payment features are implemented. A newer framework number is not by itself evidence of better accessibility, security, or support.

Images or styles are missing
Check capitalization and relative paths. A file that works on a case-insensitive local computer can fail on a case-sensitive Linux host. Confirm that the uploaded directory names exactly match the references in the HTML and CSS.
The mobile menu or animations do not work
Open the browser console, confirm that every JavaScript dependency loaded, and check that scripts appear in the intended order. Do not delete a library file merely because the page still displays; interactive components may fail silently.
Best Value
The contact form displays a success message but no email arrives
Inspect the form action and server response, then check hosting mail logs and spam folders. If the package has no server-side handler, connect it to a service designed for form submissions and protect it with validation and spam controls.

The old favicon or text remains
Clear browser and content-delivery caches, then inspect the deployed source rather than relying on the visual page alone. Search all HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and configuration files for the old value.
When this template is a good fit
Choose it when a single scrolling page, manual HTML editing, and the advertised combination of services, pricing, hours, contact, and branding sections match the project. It can provide a fast starting structure for a brochure site, provided you are prepared to test and possibly replace the form and payment implementations.
Choose another template or a content-management system when the business needs frequent nontechnical edits, a blog, multiple service pages, multilingual content, authenticated customer areas, bookings, or a documented production payment backend. The Agency page does not establish those capabilities.
Bottom line
The WebNots Agency design is presented as a free, one-page Bootstrap HTML template with useful agency and small-business sections. Obtain the files through the publisher’s current demo or contact process, keep the entire asset folder, customize and test every integration, and verify the template’s own license before commercial deployment. Bootstrap’s MIT license covers Bootstrap files—not automatically the rest of the template.
