The exact mobile control map for Dome Keeper is not documented in the official pages currently available. That means you should not rely on a published list of button names, sensitivity sliders, or menu paths. Open the options and control prompts in the Android or iOS build installed on your phone, note which controls are actually present, and adjust only those. If touch movement remains uncomfortable, a physical controller is a reasonable alternative: a recent Android player reports controller support and configuration, although no official compatibility list is published.
This matters because every run alternates between moving through mine tunnels, drilling for resources, carrying them back to the dome, buying upgrades and gadgets, and operating the dome weapon during enemy waves. Small input problems can therefore affect both exploration and combat.
What is confirmed about Dome Keeper on mobile
Raw Fury’s official game description and the current Google Play listing identify the core actions: mining and digging, movement through tunnels, operating the dome’s weapon, purchasing upgrades, using gadgets, and selecting run or difficulty options. They do not publish an Android or iOS button diagram, a named touch-sensitivity setting, or a documented route through a mobile settings menu.
Store information is also time- and region-sensitive. The Android Google Play listing checked in October 2026 identifies Dome Keeper as a Raw Fury game, showed a US price of $9.99 on October 13, 2026, and displayed an update date of October 2, 2026. The US Apple listing checked during the same period showed an expected date of December 31, 2026, rather than a generally available iPhone release. Availability, price, release timing and feature support can differ by country and can change after an update.

Why control comfort affects a run
Mining requires repeated, precise movement
You steer through narrow tunnels, drill blocks and collect resources before returning to the dome. A stick that feels too short, too sensitive or inconsistent can make tunnel navigation slower and increase accidental movement. Because the game loop sends you back and forth between the mine and the dome, discomfort is repeated throughout a run rather than appearing only once.
Combat demands fast input changes
When enemies approach, your task changes from digging to operating the dome’s weapon. The useful layout for mining may not feel ideal when you need to aim, fire or move quickly. Before committing to a long run, test both activities in the same session so that a control arrangement that feels acceptable underground does not become awkward during a wave.
Upgrades make mistakes more costly
Resources are spent on upgrades and gadgets. If movement or weapon input causes you to miss a return trip or react late to an attack, the problem can affect the resources available for those improvements. A comfortable setup is therefore a practical part of run planning, not merely a cosmetic preference.
How to inspect the controls in your installed build
Because the documented sources do not provide a universal mobile menu path, use the labels and prompts shown by your own build. Do not assume that a setting exists because it appears in a PC guide or in another player’s screenshot.
- Confirm the build first. Open the game’s store page and check whether an update is pending. Record the phone model, operating-system version and game version if the app displays it.
- Open the game’s own pause or main menu. Look for entries named with terms such as controls, input, options, accessibility or settings. The wording and location may differ between Android and iOS versions.
- Read every control prompt in a safe moment. Check whether the build exposes movement, aiming, firing, drilling, interaction or button-layout choices. Do not infer a hidden sensitivity slider from the presence of a virtual joystick.
- Change one option at a time. Enter a short run, test movement in an empty tunnel, then test the dome weapon during a wave. Keeping a one-change-at-a-time record makes it possible to undo a setting that feels worse.
- Capture the exact labels before asking for help. A screenshot of the visible menu, plus your device model and game version, gives support staff information they can use without requiring you to guess at a control name.
If your build has no control-adjustment entries, that is a limitation of the current version rather than evidence that you missed a secret menu. Keep the version number with your notes, since a later update may add or rename options.

Touchscreen adjustments to evaluate
The following are checks, not claims that every mobile build includes these settings. Use an item only when it is visibly offered by the game or by your phone’s operating system.
Virtual-stick placement and size
If the game lets you reposition or resize a virtual stick, place it where your thumb naturally rests while holding the phone in the orientation required by the app. A larger control can reduce missed touches, while a smaller one may leave more of the mine visible. Test diagonal movement as well as straight movement; a layout that works for left and right travel may feel different when you change direction quickly.

If opacity or HUD visibility is configurable, lower visual obstruction only as far as you can still locate the controls during a wave. Hiding a button that is easy to find while mining can make it difficult to react under pressure. If no in-game option exists, avoid assuming that a phone-level overlay will be understood by the game.
Input timing and accidental touches
Some phones apply touch-delay, edge-rejection or gaming-overlay features. These are device-specific and are not documented as Dome Keeper features. If taps feel delayed, test with any manufacturer gaming overlay disabled, then compare the result; change only one system feature at a time and restore it if it does not help.
Orientation and grip
Use the orientation the app requests rather than forcing rotation through a third-party overlay. Hold the phone in the same grip for mining and combat when evaluating a layout. Repeatedly shifting your hands between phases can create the impression that a control is unreliable when the problem is reach or grip.

When the virtual joystick stutters
A Google Play review dated October 12, 2026 reports that the reviewer’s virtual joystick sometimes stuttered. That is one player’s account, not a confirmed general bug, a device-independent diagnosis or a guaranteed fix. Other phones, operating-system versions and game builds may behave differently.

- Install any update shown for the game, then restart it.
- Close other demanding apps and disable overlays temporarily so you can compare a clean launch with your usual setup.
- Check whether the stutter occurs only near the edge of the display, only during combat, or throughout the mine. Note whether it affects one direction or all directions.
- Test with a different grip and, if possible, another compatible device. This helps distinguish a touch-surface issue from an app-specific problem.
- If the behavior persists, use the support contact shown on the Google Play listing. Include the phone model, Android version, game version, reproduction steps, whether overlays were enabled, and a short screen recording if permitted.
Do not treat the reviewer’s improvised “wobble” behavior as an official workaround. It may have helped that individual under particular conditions, but it has not been established as a reliable fix.
Using a physical controller
If direct touch input is tiring or inconsistent, an Android game controller can provide physical sticks and buttons. A recent reviewer reports that controller support and controller configuration are present. That makes a controller worth testing, but the available sources do not provide an official compatibility list or guarantee that every phone, operating-system version and controller will work.

- Connect the controller before launching the game, or follow the connection order recommended by your phone.
- Open the game’s control or input screen if one is visible and confirm that stick and button presses are recognized.
- Test movement, drilling, interaction and dome-weapon actions in a short run.
- Check whether the displayed mapping is comfortable and whether any buttons are missing or duplicated.
- Only then decide whether the controller is suitable for longer sessions.
A controller that pairs with the phone is not automatically supported by the game. Recognition, mapping and usable in-game behavior all need to be verified.

Apple documents AssistiveTouch at Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch. It can provide customizable actions and support pointer devices at the operating-system level. Apple’s game-input guidance also explains that iOS and iPadOS games can place virtual controls over game content while allowing direct touch interaction.

These are platform capabilities, not proof that Dome Keeper implements a particular AssistiveTouch action, accepts every pointer device or gains a new in-game button from enabling it. Use them only as general accessibility tools, and test whether the game responds as expected. If an overlay blocks the game’s own controls or adds delay, turn it off for comparison.
Do not copy PC control instructions to mobile
A December 2023 PC update documented configurable mouse controls, rebindable inputs, gamepad twin-stick support and directional snapping. Those notes describe the PC version. They do not establish that Android or iOS offers the same bindings, snapping behavior, menu labels or sensitivity options. A mobile guide should therefore quote only controls visible in the current mobile build.
A practical setup routine for each device
- Update and identify: check the store page, record the game version and confirm that your phone meets the app’s current operating-system requirements.
- Inspect: open the in-game menus and write down only the control options actually shown.
- Test mining: travel through a short tunnel, drill, turn around and return to the dome.
- Test combat: operate the weapon during a wave and check whether aiming and firing remain reachable without changing your grip.
- Compare input methods: if you have a compatible controller, test it against touch before purchasing or committing to long sessions.
- Document failures: note the exact symptom, time, device, operating-system version, game version and whether overlays or accessories were connected.
This routine gives you a repeatable baseline after an update. It also prevents a setting change, accessory connection or phone overlay from being mistaken for a game-wide behavior.
When to contact support
Contact the publisher through the support channel displayed on the current Google Play listing when an issue remains reproducible after updating and testing without overlays. Report facts rather than conclusions: “the joystick stops responding for half a second near the lower-left edge on [your device]” is more useful than “mobile controls are broken.” Include screenshots or a recording when allowed, and state whether touch or a controller was in use.
For iOS, use the support route shown on the current Apple listing or inside the app, depending on what your build provides. Store pages and support paths can change, so use the contact details visible at the time you report the issue.
Bottom line for easier mobile play
There is no verified, universal mobile settings walkthrough for Dome Keeper yet. Start by checking the options and prompts in your own current build, test mining and combat separately, and avoid importing PC instructions. If the virtual joystick stutters, treat that as a device-specific report until testing shows otherwise, update the app and send detailed information through the listed support channel. If touch remains uncomfortable, test a physical controller on your exact phone and confirm its in-game mapping before relying on it.
