The Dolphy DIRN0006 is a black electric steam iron with a ceramic soleplate. Dolphy Australia and CHOICE list it at 2200W, but a retailer lists the same model code at 1800W. Because the published information conflicts, check the rating plate on the specific iron and its market-specific packaging before relying on either figure.
What the DIRN0006 is
Dolphy identifies the DIRN0006 as a black electric steam iron with a ceramic panel, while CHOICE and Woolworths describe its surface as a ceramic soleplate. The sources agree on the model identity and ceramic surface, but not on the power rating.
Dolphy Australia lists the DIRN0006 separately from the DIRN0007, which it describes as an 1800W model. That distinction makes model-code verification especially important when comparing listings. Dolphy Australia’s steam iron collection
Is the DIRN0006 1800W or 2200W?
The available exact-model listings do not agree. Dolphy Australia and CHOICE specify 2200W; Mega Office Supplies lists the DIRN0006 as 1800W. A catalog mix-up with the separately listed DIRN0007 is one possible explanation, but the listings do not establish why the discrepancy exists.

- Established: The DIRN0006 is listed as a ceramic-surface electric steam iron, and CHOICE publishes its cord length, weight and automatic-shutoff intervals.
- Unresolved: The wattage differs between exact-model listings, so confirm it on the product itself and in documentation for your market.
- Market-specific: The 200ml tank, 220–240V rating and 12-month replacement warranty come from a Woolworths Australian marketplace listing; its warranty statement should not be treated as a global guarantee.
- Not established: An accessible CHOICE rating, detailed performance scores, or test-based recommendation.
For a purchase decision, match the model code and rating plate to the listing, then check warranty terms and local electrical compatibility with the seller. Treat retailer descriptions of steam settings and dimensions as listing claims unless confirmed by the manufacturer for your version.
