Does WARDOGS reset role XP each season?
According to WARDOGS Companion, a BULKHEAD developer described role progression as a long-term rank-up process and said role XP does not reset each season. The report links to the developer’s answer, but does not provide a direct verbatim quote; this is a narrowly scoped account of the developer’s statement, not a guarantee about all progress.
What changes from season to season?
The XP curve and item order can change even when previously earned role XP is retained. An unofficial Season 1 guide quotes BULKHEAD’s changelog: “Each season we will have a different XP curve with different item orders.” That describes seasonal tuning, not a wipe of accumulated role XP.
For example, WarDogs Portal reported that the Season 1 level-20 threshold was 250,000 XP, compared with 111,500 XP previously, a reported increase of 124.2%. Those figures refer to the Season 1 curve as reported by the guide; they are not permanent thresholds or evidence that earned XP was deleted.
What exactly is confirmed to carry over?
The developer statement reported by WARDOGS Companion addresses role XP. The sources reviewed do not establish whether cash, Gold Bars, gear unlocks, challenges, Player Skills, or other account fields reset or carry over. WARDOGS does have cash- and XP-based progression, according to its official Steam Early Access listing, but that description does not provide a complete seasonal reset policy.
Players may use “wipe” to mean any seasonal reset, while a game can change some progression fields and retain others. Treat each field separately and rely on a current official announcement or in-game notice for any reset rule beyond role XP.

Steam describes WARDOGS as an Early Access game, and the Season 1 guide itself says seasonal XP curves and item order can differ. Progression rules and thresholds should therefore be read in the context of the current season and build, rather than assumed to remain unchanged.
