Yes, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE supports a microSD card and an S Pen. The included FE S Pen is intended for writing, drawing, and navigation, but it has no Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), so it cannot pair, charge, or use Air actions. External-monitor support is the important limitation: Samsung says the Tab S10 FE series does not support HDMI output or Wireless DeX. DeX can run on the tablet’s own screen. Samsung’s published microSD limit is inconsistent—some pages say up to 1.5TB and others up to 2TB—so check the documentation for your exact model and region before buying a card.
At a glance
| Feature | Tab S10 FE status | What that means |
|---|---|---|
| microSD card | Supported | Storage can be expanded with a card. Samsung pages list different maximum capacities. |
| S Pen | Supported; an FE S Pen is included according to Samsung product information | Use it for writing, drawing, and navigation. The included pen has no BLE. |
| HDMI output | Not supported | A USB-C-to-HDMI adapter is not a supported way to drive a monitor or TV. |
| Wireless DeX | Not supported | You cannot use the tablet’s Wireless DeX mode to place a DeX desktop on an external display. |
| DeX on the tablet | Supported | The desktop-like DeX interface can run on the Tab S10 FE’s own display. |
| Ordinary wireless screen mirroring | Not established for this model in the available Samsung material | Do not assume that general Smart View instructions prove compatibility with the Tab S10 FE. |
Does the Tab S10 FE support a microSD card?
Yes. Samsung’s product specifications identify microSD as supported external storage for the Galaxy Tab S10 FE series. That makes a card useful when the tablet’s internal storage is not enough for downloaded videos, photos, documents, games, or other files.
Why Samsung lists two different capacity limits
Samsung’s own pages do not agree on one universal maximum. A Samsung Support US article lists microSD expansion of up to 1.5TB for the Tab S10 FE series. Samsung’s US product-specification page and its UK specification page each list external microSD storage of up to 2TB. The 1.5TB figure comes from a support page published roughly five months before October 13, 2026; the 2TB figures appear on product pages crawled within the month before that date.

These figures should not be merged into a single guaranteed limit. The difference may reflect regional documentation, a model variation, or pages that were updated at different times. Before purchasing a very high-capacity card, identify the exact tablet model and region and check its current Samsung specification or support page. If those pages still disagree, treat 1.5TB as the more conservative planning limit and confirm with Samsung for your variant.

5G model card and SIM arrangement
Samsung’s 5G specification lists a tray configuration of SIM 1, embedded SIM, and microSD. In practical terms, the cellular model can retain its physical microSD card while using the listed SIM and eSIM options. The exact tray and network features still depend on the regional model number, so check the label on the box or in the tablet’s device information rather than assuming every FE configuration is identical.
How to install and verify a card
- Confirm the model number and regional documentation for your tablet before choosing the card’s capacity.
- Use the tablet’s card tray and the correct eject tool; do not force a card into a slot or tray that is not marked for microSD.
- After inserting the card, open the tablet’s storage or file-management view and confirm that removable storage appears.
- Create or copy a small test file to the card, then open it from the card. This checks both recognition and read/write access before you move important data.
- When removing the card, use the tablet’s software option to eject or unmount removable storage first. Removing it while data is being written can corrupt files.
What a microSD card can and cannot change
A card expands removable storage; it does not turn the Tab S10 FE into a different performance tier or add a second internal drive. Keep applications and files that need the fastest access in internal storage when the app or Android requires it, and use the card for media, documents, backups, and other data that you can move or replace. A card is also not a substitute for a separate backup: if the tablet and card are lost together, the files on the card are lost too.

Does the Tab S10 FE support an S Pen?
Yes. Samsung’s specifications confirm S Pen support, and Samsung describes the included FE S Pen as a tool for writing, drawing, and navigating the tablet. You can therefore use the tablet for handwritten notes, annotations, sketches, and precise on-screen selection without buying a stylus simply to obtain basic pen input.
The included pen’s Bluetooth limitation
The FE S Pen supplied with the tablet does not support BLE. That has three direct consequences:
Rank #3
- Expand your storage in a flash: ideal for Android smartphones and tablets, and Windows laptops.
- Up to 140MB/s transfer speeds to move up to 1000 photos per minute
- Load apps faster with A1-rated performance
- View, access, and back up your phone’s files in one location with the SanDisk Memory Zone app
- Relax knowing your card is backed by a 10-year limited warranty by SanDisk
- It does not pair with the tablet over Bluetooth.
- It does not charge through the tablet or another charging accessory.
- It cannot perform Bluetooth-dependent Air actions.
These are hardware limits, not setup errors. If the included pen writes on the screen but never appears in a Bluetooth-pairing list, that is expected behavior. Do not describe the pen in the box as an Air-action remote or as a rechargeable Bluetooth stylus.
What about the S Pen Pro?
Samsung notes that Air actions are supported with the S Pen Pro, which is sold separately. That statement does not make Air actions an included Tab S10 FE feature, and it does not change the capabilities of the FE S Pen supplied with the tablet. If you are replacing a lost pen, read the listing carefully and verify compatibility with your exact FE model; a pen that physically fits is not automatically equivalent in features.
Rank #4
- Compatible with Nintendo-Switch (NOT Nintendo-Switch 2)
- Expand your storage in a flash: ideal for Android smartphones and tablets, Chromebooks, and Windows laptops.
- Increase your TV show, movie, and Full HD video[4] recording collections dramatically with up to a massive 1.5TB[1].
- Transfer files fast with up to 150MB/s[2] read speeds and SanDisk MobileMate USB micro 3.0 microSD card reader[6].
- Load apps faster with A1-rated performance[3].
Practical pen checks
- If the pen writes, draws, or navigates normally, basic S Pen support is working.
- If you are waiting for a Bluetooth pairing prompt or a battery indicator for the included FE S Pen, none should appear because the pen has no BLE.
- If you specifically need remote controls or Air actions, treat those as a separate accessory requirement and verify the compatibility of the S Pen Pro before purchase.
Can the Tab S10 FE connect to an external display?
Not through the supported HDMI or Wireless DeX methods. Samsung Support states: “The Galaxy Tab S10 FE and S10 FE+ are not compatible with Wireless DeX or HDMI output.” A separate Samsung DeX support page also excludes the Tab S10 FE series from HDMI output and Wireless DeX.

The USB-C port should not be treated as a guaranteed video-output port on this tablet. A USB-C-to-HDMI cable, hub, or adapter cannot add a feature that Samsung says the model does not support. If a monitor shows “no signal” through such an adapter, changing cables or selecting another HDMI input will not overcome the tablet’s lack of HDMI output support. Do not buy an adapter specifically for this purpose.

Wireless DeX is different from ordinary mirroring
Wireless DeX is Samsung’s desktop-style interface delivered to a compatible external screen. The Tab S10 FE is excluded from that feature. The tablet can still run DeX locally on its own display, so seeing a DeX option in the tablet’s software does not prove that an external monitor can be used.
Ordinary wireless screen mirroring is a separate technology from Wireless DeX. The Samsung material reviewed for this model does not establish whether standard screen mirroring works on the Tab S10 FE. General instructions for Samsung Smart View or another Galaxy device are not model-specific confirmation. If wireless mirroring is essential, obtain written confirmation for your exact model and software version before buying the tablet or planning a presentation setup.

| Your priority | What the Tab S10 FE provides | Decision or precaution |
|---|---|---|
| More local storage | microSD expansion | Check whether your region’s documentation specifies 1.5TB or 2TB; do not assume one number applies to every variant. |
| Handwritten notes and drawing | Included FE S Pen support | Basic pen input is covered; BLE pairing, charging, and Air actions are not. |
| Remote pen controls | Not provided by the included pen | Investigate a separately sold compatible S Pen Pro and verify the exact feature set. |
| Desktop work on the tablet | On-device DeX | Use DeX on the Tab S10 FE screen itself. |
| Monitor or TV connection | No HDMI output and no Wireless DeX | Choose another device if external-display output is a requirement, unless Samsung later documents a supported method for your exact model. |
| Wireless presentation mirroring | Model-specific support not established | Do not infer compatibility from generic Smart View documentation; confirm before relying on it. |
Troubleshooting common expectations
The tablet does not recognize the microSD card
- Power the tablet down before reseating the card and make sure it is oriented correctly in the tray.
- Check whether the card appears in the storage or file-management screen.
- Test the card in another compatible device if possible. If it fails there too, the card may be defective.
- Verify the card’s capacity against the Samsung documentation for your exact model and region, especially when using a card near the published maximum.
The pen will not pair
Pairing is not expected for the included FE S Pen because it has no BLE. Use its writing, drawing, and navigation functions directly. Only pursue Bluetooth-style setup if you have a separately purchased pen whose specifications explicitly include that capability.
A monitor shows no signal
Samsung documents the Tab S10 FE series as incompatible with HDMI output and Wireless DeX. Disconnect the adapter rather than treating the missing signal as a normal driver problem. For a wireless setup, remember that ordinary screen mirroring has not been confirmed for this model by the available model-specific Samsung material.
Bottom line for buyers
The Galaxy Tab S10 FE is a good fit if you need expandable storage and standard S Pen input on the tablet itself. It is not a fit for a workflow that depends on HDMI video output or Wireless DeX to an external monitor. The microSD limit requires an extra check because Samsung lists both 1.5TB and 2TB on different regional pages, while the included pen’s lack of BLE rules out charging, pairing, and Air actions.
