Yes. Samsung lists the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra as eSIM-capable, and its regional S26 specifications show “SIM 1 + eSIM / Dual eSIM.” Whether eSIM works on your phone depends on its regional model and whether your carrier supports eSIM for your plan. Samsung warns that availability varies by country, carrier and market availability of the model. Samsung’s compatibility guidance explains those limits.
How to add an eSIM to a Galaxy S26
Samsung documents three ways to set up an eSIM: carrier Simple Setup, scanning a carrier-issued QR code, or entering an activation code from your carrier. The route available to you depends on carrier support. Menu labels may differ by region or software version.
Use carrier Simple Setup
- Open Settings > Connections > SIM manager.
- Tap Add eSIM.
- If your carrier supports Samsung’s Simple Setup flow, follow the prompts to download and activate the plan.
Scan a carrier QR code
- Get an eSIM QR code from your carrier.
- On the phone, open Settings > Connections > SIM manager > Add eSIM > Scan QR code.
- Scan the code and follow the prompts to download and activate the eSIM.
Enter an activation code
- Obtain the activation code from your carrier.
- Open Settings > Connections > SIM manager > Add eSIM > Scan QR code > Enter activation code.
- Enter the code and follow the on-screen instructions.

How to transfer an eSIM from another Galaxy or Android phone
If you are moving an existing number, Samsung provides a transfer option. The new phone must be unlocked for this flow, and the carrier must support the transfer.

- On the new phone, go to Settings > Connections > SIM manager > Add eSIM > Transfer SIM from Galaxy/Android phone.
- Confirm the transfer on the old phone.
- Enter the six-digit verification code shown on the new phone.
- Select the number to transfer, then approve the transfer on both devices.
Check carrier and regional compatibility first
eSIM capability in the S26 hardware does not by itself make a line eligible. Before starting, ask your carrier whether eSIM is supported for your country, exact Galaxy S26 model and plan. The carrier supplies the QR code or activation code when one is needed.
Samsung’s UK support page lists carriers that may offer Simple Setup, including AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon in the United States; Telstra in Australia; Jio in India; and KT, LGU+ and SKT in Korea. This is a regional list of possible Simple Setup support, not a guarantee for every plan or S26 variant. Samsung’s carrier guidance and supported-model list can help you check, but your carrier is the authority on current plan eligibility.

Samsung’s Korea product specifications list “SIM 1 + eSIM / Dual eSIM” for the S26 family. Because that is a regional specification, check your own device’s regional variant rather than assuming every market has an identical configuration. Samsung Korea’s specifications provide that model detail.

If eSIM setup is unavailable or fails
- No “Add eSIM” option: Confirm your exact model and region with Samsung and ask the carrier whether that handset variant and plan support eSIM.
- QR code or activation code does not work: Contact the carrier that issued it to check the provisioning details and eligibility.
- Simple Setup does not appear: Your carrier may not offer that flow for your market, model or plan. Ask whether it can provide a QR code or activation code instead.
- Phone-to-phone transfer is blocked: Check that the new phone is unlocked and ask the carrier whether it supports transferring the line through Samsung’s flow.
