Yes. The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE has an optical fingerprint reader beneath the display. Samsung’s support page specifically lists the Galaxy S20 FE 5G among phones with an in-display fingerprint reader.
Where is the Galaxy S20 FE fingerprint sensor?
It is under the screen, not on the back of the phone. Samsung’s launch specifications call it an “Optical Fingerprint sensor,” and the company’s 5G datasheet labels it an “Optical Fingerprint Reader.”
Does that apply to every Galaxy S20 FE?
The cited Samsung support list explicitly names the Galaxy S20 FE 5G. If you need to confirm a particular phone, check its model code and the documentation for its region or carrier. Samsung notes that device instructions can vary by model, carrier, and software version.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsWhat Samsung’s specifications establish
Samsung’s documentation confirms that the reader is present and identifies it as optical and in-display. Specifications alone do not establish how quickly or reliably it will recognize a fingerprint in everyday use.
