No official specification reviewed supports a 52 mph top speed. Eahora lists the Romeo Pro III at 48–50 mph, while its product page describes it as a 48 mph model. Those are manufacturer claims, not independently verified test results. Eahora also claims 104–235 miles of range with pedal assist and 70–76 miles without it; no independent range test was established.
What top speed does Eahora list?
Eahora’s Romeo Pro III specification page lists a top speed of 48–50 mph for pedal assist and throttle, while its product page calls it a 48 mph model. Neither source supports the 52 mph figure in the search title. The difference between the two official descriptions is worth noting, and neither establishes the speed a rider will achieve in actual conditions. No independent speed test was established in the reviewed sources. Eahora’s technical specifications and the product page are the basis for these manufacturer figures.
What range does the Romeo Pro III claim?
Eahora states a range of 104–235 miles with pedal assist and 70–76 miles without pedal assist. These are manufacturer-stated figures, not independently verified real-world results. The wide assisted range is not a single predictable distance: riding mode and conditions matter, and the available figures do not specify a controlled test that would let a buyer forecast a particular ride.

Eahora specifies a 67.2V, 7A charger and estimates an 8–12 hour charge time. That is a substantial battery and a long charging window to plan around; the published range should not be treated as a guarantee that one charge will cover a particular route.

Is it legally an e-bike where you live?
Do not assume that the Romeo Pro III fits the legal definition of an ordinary e-bike. In the United States, the federal low-speed electric bicycle definition in 15 U.S.C. § 2085 covers a bicycle with fully operable pedals, a motor under 750W, and a motor-only maximum speed below 20 mph under specified test conditions. Eahora’s published peak output and speed claims for this model are far beyond those thresholds.

That federal definition addresses a particular consumer-product safety category; it does not resolve every state or local vehicle classification. Before buying or riding, check the rules for the exact place and route, including whether the vehicle may be used on roads or paths and what registration and helmet requirements apply. CPSC advises riders to follow local traffic laws and wear a helmet, but the reviewed guidance does not establish which helmet type is legally required or suitable for a vehicle with the Romeo Pro III’s claimed speed. Do not infer that an ordinary bicycle helmet is adequate at 50 mph. See CPSC micromobility safety guidance and 16 CFR Part 1203.
What should you check before riding or charging?
- Before each ride, check the handlebars, brakes, throttle, lights, tires, cables, and frame, as CPSC advises.
- Use only the supplied charger or one Eahora recommends for the exact model and version. Eahora’s FAQ discusses voltage incompatibility on an older Romeo Pro/Julet configuration; those older model details are not Romeo Pro III specifications. Confirm compatibility with Eahora before replacing a battery, charger, or other electrical part. Eahora’s FAQ warns against unvalidated electrical modifications.
- Stay present while charging. CPSC says, “Always be present when charging micromobility products.” Do not charge while asleep or away from home; follow CPSC’s charging guidance.
- Do not use older Romeo Pro/Julet display or speed-limit instructions as evidence that the Romeo Pro III can be safely or legally unlocked. They do not establish this model’s configuration or achieved speed. Eahora’s FAQ addresses older displays.
What does the evidence establish—and what remains unverified?
The published specifications establish what Eahora claims for the model: a 48–50 mph top speed, the stated range figures, a 4,800Wh battery, dual motors rated at 2 × 2,800W peak, and a 173 lb weight with battery. The reviewed sources do not establish independent Romeo Pro III speed, range, stopping-distance, battery-certification, or reliability results. Use the listed values as manufacturer specifications, not as proof of measured performance.
