Yes, with an important exception. The Crew Motorfest supports cross-platform progression and cross-play matchmaking in some multiplayer modes when you use the same Ubisoft account. The Nintendo Switch 2 edition, launched October 8, 2026, supports cross-progression and cross-save but does not offer full cross-play. Switch 2 players are limited to the cross-platform activities Ubisoft lists, including Grand Race, Demolition Royale, Summit Contest leaderboards and Event leaderboards.
Cross-play and cross-progression are different features
Cross-play lets people on different platforms meet in the same supported multiplayer activity. It affects matchmaking: a PlayStation player might be matched with someone on Xbox or PC when that mode allows it.
Cross-progression follows your account rather than a particular console or computer. Eligible progress and earned content can appear when you sign in on another supported platform. You must use the same Ubisoft account, or a console account linked to it, on both platforms.

What each platform supports
| Capability | PC, PlayStation and Xbox versions | Nintendo Switch 2 version |
|---|---|---|
| Cross-play | Cross-platform matchmaking is available in some multiplayer modes. | No full cross-play. Ubisoft lists Grand Race, Demolition Royale, Summit Contest leaderboards and Event leaderboards as cross-platform activities. |
| Cross-progression | Progress and eligible earned content can follow the same Ubisoft account. | Supported, including cross-save, when the same Ubisoft account is used. |
| Account requirement | Same Ubisoft account on both platforms; a linked console account can be used. | Same Ubisoft account and linked console account where applicable. |
| Store purchases | Items bought through an in-game or platform store are not shared across platforms. | Purchases made on another platform do not transfer; the relevant content must be bought for Switch 2. |
| Cross-play control | Enabled by default. PC players cannot disable it; console players can turn it off in game settings. | The Switch 2 FAQ’s limited mode list takes precedence over the general cross-play setting guidance. |
Ubisoft’s general support wording says Motorfest supports cross-platform play for matchmaking in some multiplayer modes. Its Switch 2 launch FAQ, published for the October 2026 release, narrows that statement for the new version: Switch 2 does not support full cross-play.
How cross-play works on PC, PlayStation and Xbox
Matchmaking is mode-dependent
Cross-play is not a promise that every activity, race, or free-roam encounter combines every platform. Ubisoft describes it as cross-platform matchmaking in some multiplayer modes. If a particular activity does not include cross-play, players on different systems cannot be placed together through that activity’s matchmaking.
Cross-play starts enabled
Ubisoft enables cross-play by default. On PC, the setting cannot be disabled. On consoles, you can opt out of cross-play in the game’s settings, although doing so restricts matchmaking to the platform pool allowed by the game.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsTurn cross-play off or on on a console
- Open Options from the game menu.
- Choose Game Settings.
- Find the Matchmaking setting.
- Select Off to disable cross-play, or On to re-enable it.
Xbox Series X|S players can also manage cross-play permissions directly through the console’s system settings. The in-game path above is Ubisoft’s general support instruction; the system-level option may affect other games or Xbox account permissions as well.
What Switch 2 players can and cannot do
Cross-platform activities Ubisoft names
The Nintendo Switch 2 version does not provide unrestricted cross-platform matchmaking. Ubisoft’s FAQ specifically identifies these cross-platform features:

- Grand Race
- Demolition Royale
- Summit Contest leaderboards
- Event leaderboards
The first two are multiplayer activities; the latter two are competitive leaderboard features. The list should not be read as confirmation that every Motorfest playlist, race, or free-roam session supports Switch 2 cross-play.
Cross-progression still works
Switch 2 does support cross-progression and cross-save. You can move compatible account progress between Switch 2 and another platform by signing into the same Ubisoft account. This does not expand Switch 2’s cross-play mode list, and it does not make purchases from another store appear automatically.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Buying content for Switch 2
Ubisoft says content purchased through another platform’s store does not transfer to Switch 2. If you want that paid content on Switch 2, you need to purchase the applicable Switch 2 version or entitlement separately. The same store-bound rule applies in the opposite direction: buying an item on Switch 2 does not make it a shared purchase on PC or a console.
Set up cross-progression correctly
Most missing-progress problems result from account mismatches rather than a failed save. Use this sequence when moving between platforms.
- Identify the Ubisoft account you already use. Check the account connected to your established Motorfest profile before launching the game on the second platform.
- Link the console account, if necessary. Ubisoft’s content-sharing guidance allows a console account linked to the same Ubisoft account. Do not create a second Ubisoft account for the new platform.
- Sign in with the same Ubisoft account on both platforms. An identical console profile name is not enough if the underlying Ubisoft accounts differ.
- Launch Motorfest on both platforms. Ubisoft’s sharing instructions specifically require launching the game on each platform so the account and entitlement state can be recognized.
- Allow synchronization to finish. Do not close the game or switch accounts while the profile is loading or saving.
- Check whether the missing item is shareable. Earned content can transfer; store purchases generally cannot.
If the second platform opens a new-looking profile, stop before progressing further and verify the Ubisoft account link. Continuing under the wrong account can make it harder to tell an account mismatch from an item that is legitimately non-transferable.

- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)
- Double Up on Efficiency: The two USB-A 3.0 ports and a USB-C port support a fast 5Gbps data rate, significantly boosting your transfer speeds and improving productivity.

Which progress and items transfer?
Ubisoft’s cross-platform content-sharing listing, updated October 7, 2026, distinguishes earned or account-level content from store purchases. The following earned content is listed as shareable when attached to the same Ubisoft account:
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
- Earned Bucks
- Crew Credits earned through eligible gameplay or account activity
- Cosmetics
- Liveries
- Prestige Tickets
- Vanities
- Vehicles
The wording matters: an item being visible in your collection does not automatically mean every way of obtaining it is shared. Ubisoft says content purchased from the in-game store or a platform store is not shared across platforms. Treat paid entitlements as platform-specific unless Ubisoft explicitly identifies them as transferable.
What does not transfer as a purchase
- Items bought from Motorfest’s in-game store on another platform
- Items bought through a platform storefront on another platform
- Content that requires a separate Switch 2 purchase when moving to Switch 2
This distinction explains why a vehicle or cosmetic obtained through play may appear after a platform change while a similar item bought with money does not.
Co-op rewards have their own rules
Account-level cross-progression should not be confused with how a shared playlist session awards progress to each participant. Ubisoft’s co-op support information says playlist race rewards are saved only for the Crew leader.
What a Crew member can retain
A Crew member can retain currency, XP, XP bonuses and performance parts only when that player has already activated the Playlist by visiting its location in-game. Activation is therefore a prerequisite for keeping the applicable rewards; simply joining another player’s session is not equivalent to activating the Playlist yourself.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
Loaned vehicles limit parts rewards
Crew members cannot earn performance parts while using a loaned vehicle. If collecting parts matters, use a vehicle from your own garage and make sure the Playlist has been activated on your account before racing.
These co-op rules apply independently of the platform. Moving an account to another system does not turn a reward saved only for the Crew leader into a reward for every participant.
Free-trial progress and supported platforms
Ubisoft’s free trial offers up to five hours and saves progress so it can be resumed on a cross-progression-compatible platform. The cited support page names these trial platforms:
- Epic Games Launcher
- PlayStation 4
- PlayStation 5
- Ubisoft Connect PC
- Xbox One
- Xbox Series X|S
The listed trial platforms do not establish Nintendo Switch 2 trial availability. Do not assume that a Switch 2 version of the game has the same trial offer simply because Switch 2 supports cross-progression for the full game.
Troubleshoot a friend you cannot find
Both players are on different platforms
Confirm that cross-play is still enabled on the console. PC players cannot turn it off, but console players may have selected Options > Game Settings > Matchmaking > Off. Also verify that both players are entering a multiplayer mode covered by cross-platform matchmaking; cross-play is not universal across every activity.

One player is on Switch 2
Check whether the planned activity is Grand Race, Demolition Royale, Summit Contest leaderboards or Event leaderboards. The Switch 2 version does not support full cross-play, so a mode outside Ubisoft’s named list may not connect players across platforms.
Progress or vehicles are missing
Verify that both platforms use the same Ubisoft account and that the console account is linked to it. Launch the game on both platforms, then classify the missing item. Earned Bucks, cosmetics, liveries, Prestige Tickets, vanities and vehicles are listed as shareable; store purchases are not.
A co-op reward did not appear
Determine whether you were the Crew leader, whether you had activated the Playlist yourself, and whether you were driving a loaned vehicle. Playlist race rewards are saved only for the leader, and loaned vehicles cannot produce performance-part rewards for Crew members.

Platform compatibility can change when Ubisoft adds a platform or revises multiplayer services. The most specific current qualification is the October 2026 Switch 2 FAQ, while the detailed content-sharing listing was updated October 7, 2026. Recheck Ubisoft’s current support information after a substantial game update, a new platform release or a change to the account-linking system.
For the versions covered by Ubisoft’s general cross-play support, the practical answer is yes for supported multiplayer modes, with cross-play enabled by default. For Switch 2, use the narrower answer: cross-progression and cross-save are supported, but cross-play is limited to the activities Ubisoft names rather than the full game.
