No. SwitchBot says Lock Vision Pro does not support Apple Home Key. It can connect to Apple Home through Matter, but that is a separate feature: Apple Home integration does not provide the tap-to-unlock Home Key credential. If unlocking with an iPhone or Apple Watch using Home Key is essential, this lock does not meet that requirement.
What Apple Home can—and cannot—do with the lock
SwitchBot’s support answer says Lock Vision and Lock Vision Pro do not currently support Apple Home Key. The company says it will consider feedback for future improvements, but has not announced a delivery date or commitment.
Separately, SwitchBot says Lock Vision Pro supports Matter and can be added to Apple Home or Google Home. Its support page specifies that third-party control applies to the interior assembly, not the exterior assembly. Matter makes compatible smart-home control possible; it does not add Home Key support.
In AppleInsider’s October 2, 2026 review, Wesley Hilliard reported that Apple Home let him lock and unlock the door. He accessed the other product features through the SwitchBot app. That is one reviewer’s setup experience, not a guarantee of identical controls in every home.

How to add Lock Vision Pro to Apple Home
SwitchBot’s iOS instructions describe adding the lock with its Matter setup code or by scanning the QR code on the interior assembly. The manufacturer lists these prerequisites:
- An iPhone and a HomePod or Apple TV serving as a home hub. SwitchBot says a hub compatible with iOS 18.4 or later is acceptable.
- Current versions of the SwitchBot app and lock firmware.
- The iPhone and lock on a shared 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
- In the SwitchBot app, retrieve the Matter setup code for Lock Vision Pro, or locate the QR code at the bottom of the interior assembly.
- Use the code in Apple Home, or scan the assembly’s QR code, and follow the on-screen prompts to add the lock.
These are SwitchBot’s published instructions; app screens and compatibility requirements can change, so check the current guidance if setup fails.

Unlocking options beyond Home Key
SwitchBot advertises face recognition, palm-vein recognition, fingerprint, keypad, NFC, geofencing, app, voice, widget, and physical-key access. These are manufacturer-listed methods, not a promise that every option will suit every door or household.

Check the door and price before choosing it
SwitchBot describes the product as fitting standard deadbolts and advertises a 15-minute DIY installation. Those are manufacturer claims, so confirm compatibility with your actual door and the latest installation guidance before buying. In his October 2026 review, Hilliard reported requirements of 1.4–2.2 inches of door thickness and at least 1.8 inches of clearance from the knob; treat those as review-reported measurements and verify them against current manufacturer documentation.
The SwitchBot US listing showed the base lock at $229.99 and a lock-plus-video-doorbell variant at $329.99 when retrieved in 2026. Prices and availability can change. The listing also advertises a 10,000mAh main battery with up to 12 months of life, IP65 protection, and a one-year warranty; these are vendor specifications and claims, not independent test results.

Who should consider Lock Vision Pro?
- Consider it if you want biometric and other entry options, Matter-based Apple Home control is sufficient, and the lock fits your door.
- Skip it if Apple Home Key tap-to-unlock from an iPhone or Apple Watch is a must-have. Matter support does not bridge that gap.
- Compare alternatives carefully if you are shopping for another lock. Verify current Home Key support, the controls exposed in Apple Home, door fit, installation needs, and price; the sources cited here do not establish a specific competing model as a like-for-like substitute.
