No. Under Starlink’s referral program, a qualifying new subscriber gets one free month of service—not cash. The referrer may receive a reward, usually as service credit or, where offered, cash. The reward form and amount depend on the market and are shown in the referrer’s Starlink account.
Who gets what in a Starlink referral?

Starlink’s Referral Program Terms specify the free month for the referred subscriber. Starlink does not promise cash to every new customer, and its referral materials do not establish a universal cash reward for referrers either.
How much can the referrer receive?
The reward amount and available reward types vary by country. Starlink’s referral help page gives $100 in the US as an example of a local reward amount; it is not a worldwide rate or a guaranteed ongoing offer. The account’s referral section is the place to check the current amount and whether cash is an option. Some countries offer service credit only.
Who and which plans qualify?
The program is for active Starlink subscribers in good standing. Starlink describes eligibility as generally available to Residential or Roam customers where the program operates, though participation may be limited by account type. The referred person must be genuinely new to Starlink and must:

- Keep an eligible high-speed plan active for two full monthly billing cycles; Standby Mode does not qualify.
Starlink’s new-subscriber help page lists Residential Lite, Residential, Residential 100 Mbps, Residential 200 Mbps, and Residential Max, plus Roam 100GB, Roam 300GB, and Roam Unlimited. Plan availability can differ by market, so check the plans shown during signup and the terms attached to the referral offer.
Purchases that do not qualify
A Kit bought from a retailer or unauthorized reseller does not meet the direct-purchase requirement. Nor does a private transfer of an account. Start from the referral link and complete the order on Starlink.com to preserve eligibility.

When is the reward issued?
The referral must mature after the new subscriber completes two full monthly billing cycles. The free month for the new subscriber is applied to the second monthly invoice, once the referral is confirmed. If the referrer selects cash where available, Starlink’s terms allow payment up to 30 days after the referral matures. Starlink may also delay or refuse a reward while it checks eligibility.
What to check before using or sharing a referral link
- For the referrer: Open the referral section of your Starlink account and check the reward type, amount, and any local conditions. Cash, when offered, may require registration and good standing with Starlink’s selected payment processor.
- For the new subscriber: Open the referrer’s unique link first, then order the Kit and subscription directly from Starlink.com. Confirm that the offer and a listed eligible plan are available at your service address.
- For both people: Check the current terms for the country where service will be activated. The referrer is responsible for applicable taxes and for ensuring their bank or payment institution can receive a cash payment.
Starlink’s terms give Starlink discretion to determine eligibility and reject referrals it considers ineligible or fraudulent. The reward schedule can change, so rely on the offer displayed in the account rather than an old link, post, or quoted amount.
