Yes, Spectrum provides a Wi-Fi router with certain plans or Wi-Fi add-ons, but it is not included with every Internet plan. Spectrum includes a modem with its Internet service; the router is supplied through Advanced WiFi or Invincible WiFi, depending on your plan and address. Check the offer for your service address before signing up because eligibility and prices vary.
Is Wi-Fi included with Spectrum Internet?
Not automatically on every plan. Spectrum’s plan comparison lists Advanced WiFi as a $10-per-month add-on for Internet Advantage and Internet Premier, while Internet Gig includes Advanced WiFi. Spectrum’s Wi-Fi service page also describes bundle-specific terms and says Invincible WiFi is included with 2 Gig in select areas. The offer shown for your address determines what applies.
Spectrum’s comparison lists Internet Gig at $60 per month for the first year with Advanced WiFi included. That is a year-one offer, not a universal or permanent rate. Check the current Spectrum Internet plans for address-specific availability and terms.
Does Spectrum give you a modem and a router?
They are separate pieces of equipment. Spectrum says its modem connects your home to its network. A router distributes that connection wirelessly around your home. Spectrum’s Advanced WiFi service includes a router, and its FAQ notes that a modem is still required.

In other words, receiving a Spectrum modem does not necessarily mean you also have a Wi-Fi router. Spectrum describes its Wi-Fi service in its residential agreement as wireless Internet access in the home through a Spectrum-provided wireless router.

Should you use Spectrum’s router or your own?
If you add Spectrum Wi-Fi service, Spectrum provides and manages the wireless router included with that service. If you prefer to use a router you own, ask Spectrum whether your intended setup is supported for your address and modem before buying. The available official information does not verify compatibility for any particular retail router model.

It also limits equipment connected to a cable modem outlet or port to Spectrum-authorized equipment. Review the current residential Internet agreement and confirm the rules with Spectrum for your specific setup.

Coverage depends on the size and layout of your home, where the router is placed, and obstacles between it and your devices. Spectrum points customers with larger homes toward Wi-Fi extenders. Ask which coverage options are available for your service; the suggestion does not establish that a particular third-party extender or mesh system is compatible.
