Short answer: a faster-feeling click does not automatically mean better aim or more kills. Logitech’s PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE introduces adjustable click sensing and haptic feedback, and Logitech claims it can reduce click latency by up to 30 milliseconds. But that claim is not proof of a better scoreboard—and no cited source provides controlled before-and-after kill or rank data. One owner’s account after about 35 hours reported no practical difference in tactical shooters.

What does “Logitech’s latest esports mouse” mean?

The likely product is the Logitech G PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE, announced on September 17, 2025. Logitech describes it as its first mouse with SUPERSTRIKE technology, combining inductive analog sensing with real-time haptic feedback. In practical terms, its clicks are configurable rather than simply fixed to one actuation point, and the mouse can provide a haptic response when a click registers. Logitech’s launch announcement and official press release explain the feature and the company’s performance claims.

Logitech also advertises wireless polling of up to 8,000 Hz, or one report every 0.125 milliseconds at the maximum rate. That figure describes how often the mouse can report its position to the computer; it is not a measure of total click-to-action time in a game. Game processing, display and system response, network conditions, and the player’s own input all remain part of the experience.

Does a faster gaming mouse improve aim or get more kills?

Not on the evidence available. Logitech says SUPERSTRIKE can reduce click latency by up to 30 milliseconds. That is a manufacturer claim about click latency, not a guaranteed improvement in a player’s total response time, and it does not establish that a buyer will aim better, win more duels, or get more kills. Logitech’s launch blog says, “In esports every millisecond matters, the PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE ensures you’re leading the pack with reduced click latency.” That is promotional language from the September 17, 2025 announcement, not an independently verified gameplay outcome.

Independent findings offer a useful counterweight. RTINGS says the mouse’s click latency, even at the lowest actuation settings, is broadly in line with other leading wireless competitors. Its review page was updated March 31, 2026. The review describes a highly configurable mouse suitable for competitive play, but does not establish a decisive latency advantage over other good wireless mice. Read RTINGS’ review.

PC Gamer reported Logitech testing that found a 14 ms-to-3 ms difference in click latency between professional and non-professional gamers using the SUPERSTRIKE versus a standard mouse. This is a comparison from Logitech’s testing as relayed by PC Gamer—not a promise that an individual player will gain that amount, nor evidence of improved kills or scores. PC Gamer’s review provides that context.

What happened after a week of gaming?

A Reddit user described roughly seven days and 35 hours with the mouse and said they noticed no practical difference in tactical shooters. That is one person’s account, not a controlled test or representative sample; it cannot tell us what most players will experience. It is, however, a useful reminder that a changed click mechanism may not translate into an obvious match result. Read the owner’s post.

The available sources do not document the writer’s personal scoreboards after a week, and they do not provide a controlled before-and-after scoreboard study. It would be misleading to invent a kill-count change or imply that a week of play proves the mouse improves performance.

What changes in use—and what does not?

Adjustable actuation

The key practical distinction is configurability: actuation can be adjusted, including to a higher point for a hair-trigger-like response. That may suit a player who wants a click to register earlier, but a preferred setting is personal. More sensitive clicks can also be easier to trigger unintentionally, so the fastest-feeling setup is not necessarily the most consistent one for every player or game. Tom’s Hardware discusses adjustable actuation and setup in its review. Read Tom’s Hardware’s review.

Haptics and click feel

Real-time haptic feedback is part of the product’s distinctive click experience. Whether that feedback feels clear, helpful, or distracting is subjective; it is not itself evidence of lower in-game latency or a better result.

Polling rate

The advertised maximum of 8 kHz means a report interval of 0.125 milliseconds at that rate. It should not be read as “the game responds in 0.125 ms”: polling interval and end-to-end response are different measures.

Setup and game type

Tom’s Hardware’s account says Logitech software is needed to configure the available settings. Players should factor that setup into the decision rather than assuming every preferred click behavior is available out of the box. A rapid repeated-click setting may feel different in a tactical shooter than in another game, and the source material does not establish one configuration as best for all genres. Tom’s Guide also reviews the mouse and discusses the manufacturer’s latency claim. Read Tom’s Guide’s review.

Should you choose it over another competitive mouse?

Consider the specific experience you want, not just the largest number on the specification sheet.

  • Click latency: RTINGS finds latency comparable to other top wireless competitors, so the cited independent review does not establish a decisive advantage here.
  • Actuation and reset behavior: Decide whether adjustable click points address a real preference in your games, and whether the extra sensitivity feels controllable.
  • Haptics and feel: Treat the feedback as a comfort and preference feature, not a performance guarantee.
  • Polling rate: The 8 kHz maximum is a manufacturer specification, not proof of more kills or lower total game response.
  • Shape and comfort: Choose a mouse that fits your hand and grip for long sessions; the cited evidence does not establish that this model’s shape is right for every player.
  • Software: Account for configuring the settings in Logitech software.

Tom’s Hardware lists February 10, 2026 as its review release date, while Tom’s Guide and PC Gamer also published reviews on February 10, 2026. Their coverage can help readers assess the device’s feel and configuration; none of the cited material supplies controlled scoreboard evidence.

Verdict: a different click system, not a kill-count guarantee

The PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE’s meaningful proposition is adjustable inductive click sensing with haptics. Logitech’s up-to-30-millisecond latency reduction is a company claim; independent review evidence cited here does not show it outperforming leading wireless competitors on click latency, and no controlled test establishes more kills or a better rank. Buy or choose it for the configurable click experience if that suits your preferences—not on the expectation that the hardware will change your scoreboard by itself.
