Yes. Once Little Kitty, Big City has been downloaded and you have unlocked the full mobile game, Double Dagger Studio says you can play offline. An internet connection is required for the initial download and for buying the full version.
The important limitation is save compatibility: the developer says PC and console saves cannot be transferred to mobile. Trial progress does carry into the full mobile game, but official materials do not confirm save syncing between two mobile devices or transfers between Android and iPhone.
Does Little Kitty, Big City Mobile work without an internet connection?
Yes, for normal gameplay after setup. Double Dagger Studio’s Mobile FAQ answers the question “Do I need an internet connection to play Little Kitty, Big City on Mobile?” as follows: “Only to download the game and buy the full version. After that, you can play offline!”

What you must do before going offline
- Connect your iPhone, iPad, or Android device to the internet.
- Install the mobile app from the applicable store.
- Start the free trial and decide whether to unlock the full game.
- Complete the one-time purchase while online. The FAQ says the connection is needed to buy the full version.
- Open the game once after unlocking it so the installation and entitlement are fully processed.
- Test a short play session with Wi-Fi and mobile data disabled before relying on it for travel or another offline situation.
The final test is useful because store availability, app versions, and device behavior can change. It also lets you discover any device-specific issue while you still have a connection.
How the free trial and full-game unlock affect your progress
The Google Play and Apple App Store listings describe a free trial. They say the game prompts you to buy the full version after you collect and turn in 25 Shinies to Crow. The purchase is a one-time unlock, not a subscription, and the listings state that progress made in the trial carries into the full mobile game. See the Google Play listing and the US Apple App Store listing for the current store wording.
This is a specific continuity promise: trial progress to the full version in the mobile release. It should not be read as proof that a save can move from a phone to a tablet, from Android to iOS, or from mobile to PC or console. The listings do not establish those broader transfers.
What happens at the 25-Shiny point
- You can begin with the mobile trial rather than paying before trying it.
- After collecting and turning in 25 Shinies to Crow, the listing says you are prompted to buy the full game.
- The one-time unlock keeps progress made in that mobile trial according to the store descriptions.
- AR and camera features require the full-game unlock, so they are not part of the unrestricted trial experience.
Store prices and availability are regional and can change. Check the live listing for your country instead of relying on a price copied from an older page.

Can you transfer a PC or console save to mobile?
No. Double Dagger Studio’s FAQ directly answers whether a PC or console save can be transferred with: “Sorry, saves can’t be transferred.” That is an explicit restriction on moving a save from the computer or console versions into the mobile game.
Buying the mobile version therefore does not give you a way to resume an existing PC or console playthrough. You should expect to start a separate mobile save, even if you already own the game elsewhere. The mobile purchase is also separate from a PC or console purchase, as stated in the official FAQ and both mobile store listings.
Save compatibility by source and destination

“Not stated” is different from “supported.” The available official pages do not describe a mobile cloud-save service, an account-based sync feature, an export/import function, or a cross-operating-system migration process. Until the developer publishes one, do not plan a device switch on the assumption that your mobile save will follow you.

Does mobile-to-mobile save syncing work?
There is no confirmed answer for mobile-to-mobile syncing. The official FAQ and the two store listings reviewed do not say whether saves synchronize between two Android devices, between two Apple devices, or across Android and iOS. They also do not explain whether a platform account, game account, or manual backup can restore a save.

For that reason, treat each device as a potentially separate save location. Before replacing a phone, resetting a tablet, changing operating systems, or deleting the app, verify current guidance in the developer’s support materials. Do not uninstall the app merely to test a transfer: the published information does not promise that a mobile save can be recovered on another device.
A safe plan when changing phones
- Keep the original device intact and playable until you have confirmed that the new device contains the expected progress.
- Record the device’s operating system and the installed game version.
- Check the current Mobile FAQ and the live store listing for any newly documented sync or migration feature.
- Install the game on the new device while online, but do not erase the old installation.
- If the new device starts without your old progress, contact the developer before making further changes; the public pages do not document a self-service transfer procedure.
This procedure cannot create a transfer where none is supported. It simply prevents an avoidable loss while you establish what the current version can do.
How mobile differs from PC and console
The most important differences are entitlement, saves, controls, and mobile-only features rather than a shared progression system.

The FAQ and store listings are the sources for these distinctions. They do not claim that mobile has identical content, visuals, controls, or feature behavior to every other platform, so comparisons should stay within what the current listings actually describe.

Which phones and tablets can run it?
The developer lists the mobile game for iPhone, iPad, and Android phones and tablets. The FAQ also warns that some Android devices do not meet Google Play requirements, so “Android” is not a guarantee of compatibility.
The US Apple listing provides model-generation compatibility details, while the Google Play listing handles Android availability. Because supported models, operating-system requirements, and store availability can change with updates, check the live listing for your exact device before buying or relying on offline play:
- Apple App Store listing for the listed iPhone and iPad requirements in the United States.
- Google Play listing for Android availability and device compatibility.
The FAQ lists a mobile launch date of October 12, 2026, with availability everywhere on that date except China, which it says is coming later. That regional statement and all store details are time-sensitive; a listing may change after an update or when a market is added.

What you pay for on each platform
Mobile is a separate purchase from PC and console. The two mobile ecosystems are separate as well: an iPhone or iPad purchase and an Android purchase are not presented as one shared entitlement. If you move from one operating system to the other, do not assume that buying the game on one store unlocks it on the other.

The mobile model is:
- Free trial first.
- One-time purchase to unlock the full mobile game.
- No subscription described in the store listings.
- Trial progress retained in the full mobile game, according to those listings.
- Prices and regional availability determined by the current Apple or Google storefront.
That purchase information answers access, not save migration. Paying for the full version does not override the developer’s statement that PC and console saves cannot be transferred, and it does not establish mobile-to-mobile synchronization.
Offline-play checklist and common pitfalls
Before a flight, commute, or low-connectivity trip
- Download the app completely while connected.
- Finish the one-time full-game purchase if you intend to play beyond the trial.
- Launch the unlocked game once online.
- Confirm that your intended device is listed as compatible.
- Disable Wi-Fi and mobile data briefly to verify that ordinary gameplay starts and loads.
- Keep enough storage available for the installed app and future updates.
Pitfall: assuming a PC save will appear
It will not: the FAQ explicitly rules out PC and console save transfer. Start the mobile version as a separate progression path.
Pitfall: treating trial carryover as cloud sync
Trial carryover means the mobile trial’s progress continues after the mobile unlock. It does not document backup, cross-device restoration, or Android-to-iOS movement.
Pitfall: buying on the wrong storefront
Apple and Android purchases are separate. Confirm which device you will use before completing the one-time purchase, especially if you expect to switch ecosystems.
Pitfall: expecting a gamepad to work
The developer’s FAQ says controllers are not supported at this time. Plan to use the rebuilt mobile controls rather than bringing a controller as your only input method.
Pitfall: expecting every mobile feature in the trial
AR and camera features require the full-game unlock. They are not evidence that the game needs an internet connection; they are features gated behind the purchase.

Little Kitty, Big City Mobile works offline after the initial download and full-game purchase. Your free-trial progress carries into the full mobile game, but PC and console saves cannot be transferred to mobile. Mobile-to-mobile and Android-to-iOS save behavior remains unconfirmed in the official materials, so verify any newly published support information before changing devices.
