There is no published evidence of a dedicated PS5 Pro upgrade for Jurassic World Evolution 2. The game has a native PS5 version, but the official material available does not identify a Pro patch, Pro graphics mode, resolution target, frame-rate target, ray-tracing change or PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) support. You should therefore treat a major, guaranteed improvement on PS5 Pro as unconfirmed rather than assume 4K or 60 frames per second.
The short answer
Jurassic World Evolution 2 (JWE2) is sold as a PlayStation 5 game, yet that is not the same thing as being PS5 Pro enhanced. Sony’s published launch information for the upgraded console listed more than 50 games with PS5 Pro enhancements, and Jurassic World Evolution 2 was not named in that sample list. Sony also warns that “PS5 Pro enhanced features will vary by game.”

For JWE2 specifically, no cited official source publishes an internal-resolution range, output resolution, frame-rate cap, dynamic-resolution behavior, ray-tracing adjustment, PSSR status or a named Pro graphics mode. Until Frontier publishes a title update or a support note with those details, the responsible answer to “Does JWE2 run better on PS5 Pro?” is: not confirmed.
What is officially confirmed about the game
It has a native PS5 release
Frontier’s PlayStation Blog launch announcement dates the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 release to November 9, 2021. The PlayStation Store lists the game for both PS4 and PS5. That store listing establishes that you can buy and install a PS5 edition; it does not establish a separate PS5 Pro edition.

A native PS5 build can have different assets, loading behavior or settings from the PS4 build. Those differences are part of the original PS5 release and should not be described as a later Pro enhancement.
Sony’s launch list does not identify JWE2 as a launch Pro title
Sony Interactive Entertainment’s 2024 PS5 Pro launch article says more than 50 games had enhancements available at launch and provides a sample list. Jurassic World Evolution 2 does not appear in that cited list. Absence from a sample list is not proof that a game can never receive an update, but it means the launch announcement cannot be used as evidence of JWE2-specific support.
PSSR is a general console technology, not proof of support in JWE2
Sony describes PSSR as an AI upscaling library and says it had been used to improve effective resolution in more than 50 titles in a 2026 description. That statement explains what the technology can do across supported games; it does not identify Jurassic World Evolution 2 as one of them. A game needs documented implementation before you can claim that its image is being reconstructed with PSSR.
Which PS5 Pro details are still unknown

These are evidence gaps, not hidden specifications. A review, video or forum post may show a particular console output, but it cannot turn an undocumented setting into an official target.
Why a PS5 version does not automatically mean PS5 Pro enhancement
PS5 Pro support is a per-title decision. The developer may patch a game to use extra GPU capacity, add a higher-resolution mode, alter image reconstruction, raise a frame-rate target or tune effects. Another game may receive no title-specific work at all. Sony’s wording that enhanced features “will vary by game” is important because the console’s general hardware capabilities do not describe every game’s implementation.

JWE2’s PS5 label answers a compatibility question: which console edition is being sold? It does not answer how that build behaves on the later Pro hardware. Without a documented update, there is no reliable basis for promising that park simulation, dinosaur animation, shadows or image clarity will improve.

Image quality
Do not buy the game on the assumption that PS5 Pro produces a confirmed 4K presentation. The official record gives no internal or output resolution for this combination. Your television may report a 4K signal because the console and display negotiate that output, but the signal label alone does not reveal the game’s internal rendering resolution or reconstruction method.
Frame rate and large parks
No official Pro frame-rate number is available. That means you should not advertise or expect a guaranteed 60fps mode, nor claim that demanding parks hold a particular rate. JWE2 can display many moving animals, guests, vehicles and environmental systems; the performance of a specific park depends on the game build, scene complexity and selected settings. Those variables do not establish a Pro target.
Ray tracing, foliage, reflections and shadows
There is no cited announcement of Pro-specific changes to reflections, water, shadows, foliage density, lighting or ray tracing. If the game looks cleaner on your setup, that observation may reflect your display, viewing distance or system output settings rather than a documented change in the title.
Loading and general responsiveness
The PS5 edition is the relevant version for a PS5 Pro owner, but no official comparison publishes loading-time measurements or a Pro-specific responsiveness claim. Avoid presenting faster transitions, smoother menus or quicker saves as guaranteed features unless a future Frontier note supplies a measured or explicitly described change.
How to check your own installation without guessing
You can verify whether your console has received a game update and whether the game exposes any additional options. These checks show what is installed on your system; they do not prove an undocumented performance target.

- Confirm the edition. On the PS5 home screen, highlight Jurassic World Evolution 2 and open the item menu. Check that the selected version is the PS5 edition rather than the PS4 application.
- Check for a title update. Highlight the game, open the options menu and choose Check for Update. Install any available update, then review its notes if Frontier supplies them.
- Look for in-game graphics choices. Open the game’s settings and record any resolution, quality or performance options exactly as labelled. Do not rename a generic option “Pro mode” unless the developer does so.
- Record the console and display state. Note whether 120 Hz output, variable refresh rate or another display feature is enabled. These settings can change how motion appears, but they are not evidence of JWE2-specific rendering changes.
- Test a demanding save and a simple save. Compare a large, busy park with a small park while using the same camera movement and display settings. This can reveal how your installation behaves, but it is an observation from your console, not an official frame-rate specification.
- Recheck after future patches. A later Frontier update could add support or publish targets. Treat the version number and update notes as the authority for any new claim.
How to compare PS5 and PS5 Pro if an official patch arrives
If Frontier documents a Pro update, use the same test conditions on both consoles and separate measurable targets from visual impressions. The useful comparison points are:

- A Frontier patch note explicitly naming PS5 Pro support or a Pro graphics mode.
- A Sony or Frontier product page that identifies JWE2 among enhanced titles and describes the feature.
- Developer-published resolution or frame-rate targets tied to a named mode.
- Documentation that states whether PSSR is enabled and under which conditions.
By contrast, a generic statement that PS5 Pro has a faster GPU, a television’s 4K indicator, or a comparison with another game is not title-specific evidence. Keep those categories separate when deciding whether an upgrade is real.
Buying advice for a PS5 Pro owner
Choose the PS5 listing if you want to play JWE2 on a current PlayStation console. Buy it for the game itself, not for a promised Pro upgrade. The official store also lists the Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack and Dominion Malta Expansion if you want their additional content, but neither listing establishes a Pro visual benefit.
If a PS5 Pro enhancement is the deciding factor, wait for a named update or published specification before treating it as part of the product. That approach avoids confusing the native PS5 release with a separate, documented Pro feature set.
