No. Galaxy Enhance-X is not automatically available on every Samsung Galaxy phone. Samsung’s current US support guidance says the app is supported on phones running Android 14 with One UI 6.0 or later. A Galaxy badge by itself does not prove compatibility, and Samsung’s older model list was limited to selected phones.

The reliable way to answer the question for your phone is to check its Android and One UI versions, then search for Galaxy Enhance-X in Galaxy Store on that device. Store availability is a device-level check rather than an assumption based on the phone family.

What Samsung’s current requirement means

Samsung’s current US support article, “Use AI editing tools in Gallery on your Galaxy phone or tablet,” states: “The Galaxy Enhance-X app is supported on phones running Android 14 and One UI 6.0 and above.” That is the clearest current compatibility rule Samsung publishes.

Both parts matter. A phone needs the Android release and the corresponding One UI generation covered by that statement. Having a newer Android version with an older One UI installation, or having a recent-looking Galaxy model that has not received the necessary software, does not establish support. Conversely, a model that appears on an older launch list should still be checked against the software installed today.

Galaxy branding is not a compatibility guarantee

“Samsung Galaxy” describes a large range of phones released over many years and across several product families. Models differ in processor, camera hardware, regional firmware, update history and software version. Samsung therefore does not treat the family name alone as an availability test.

Compatibility also has two separate meanings:

  • Store availability: whether Galaxy Store offers the app for that exact phone and software configuration.
  • Feature availability: which editing tools appear after installation and what the app can process on that model.

A phone can satisfy the published software baseline but still show a different set of menus or functions. Samsung notes that displayed options can vary by model and installed software.

The model list Samsung published in 2023

Samsung’s US newsroom announcement on June 28, 2023 described an initial rollout to selected premium devices. Its footnote named the following families and associated them with One UI 5.1 or later:

The announcement also said Galaxy A-series phones, Galaxy M-series phones and Galaxy tablets would be supported later. That wording describes the rollout at the time; it is not a promise that every device in those families is supported now.

Why the 2023 list should not be used as today’s catalog

The launch announcement predates Samsung’s current Android 14 and One UI 6.0 guidance. It identifies selected families, not every individual regional model, carrier variant or later release. It also does not tell you whether a particular phone received the software required by the current support rule.

Samsung’s present support page gives the software requirement but does not publish a current, model-by-model compatibility matrix. The historical list is useful for understanding the original rollout, yet it cannot settle the question for an individual phone in 2026.

How to check your exact Galaxy phone

Use the phone you intend to edit. Checking another device in the same family can produce a misleading result because software versions and regional availability can differ.

  1. Identify the installed software. Open the phone’s Settings and look under About phone or Software information. Record the Android version and One UI version shown there. Menu labels can vary slightly by model and installed software.
  2. Open Galaxy Store on that phone. Search for Galaxy Enhance-X using the exact app name. Samsung identifies Galaxy Store as the download source.
  3. Read the result for that device. If the listing allows installation, the store has accepted the phone’s current configuration. If the app is missing, unavailable or marked incompatible, treat that as the practical answer for the device at that moment.
  4. Check for a software update if the phone is below the published baseline. An update may change eligibility when Samsung provides one for your model and region, but installing an update is not a guarantee that every editing feature will appear.
  5. Open the app after installation and inspect its tools. The available menu is the final check for feature behavior. Samsung says functions can differ according to model and installed software.

The accessible Galaxy Store listing does not expose a readable, complete compatibility table. That is why an on-device search is more dependable than relying on a web list copied from the original launch period.

What Galaxy Enhance-X does

Samsung describes Galaxy Enhance-X as an image-editing application. Its current support guidance lists tools such as Brighten, Sharpen, Restore picture and Increase resolution, along with other options. The 2023 launch announcement also described Fix Blur, Remove Reflection, Fix Lens Distortion, HDR and Moiré correction.

Tool or function named by Samsung What it is intended to address
Brighten Lighten an image that appears too dark.
Sharpen Increase perceived detail or crispness.
Restore picture Improve an older or degraded image.
Increase resolution Create a higher-resolution version of an image.
Fix Blur Reduce the appearance of blur where the tool is offered.
Remove Reflection Reduce reflections detected in a photograph.
Fix Lens Distortion Correct distortion associated with a lens.
HDR Apply high-dynamic-range processing where available.
Moiré correction Address moiré patterns detected in an image.

This list describes functions Samsung has named, not a promise that every phone displays every button. Some controls appear only when the app detects that an applicable edit is possible, and Samsung’s guidance allows for model- and software-specific differences.

Availability, installation and feature behavior are different checks

If Galaxy Store offers the app

An installable listing is evidence that Samsung currently permits the app on that phone’s configuration. It does not mean the phone has the same camera hardware, processing capacity or menu layout as another Galaxy model. Start with a copy of an original image when testing an edit so the source remains intact.

If Galaxy Store does not show the app

First compare the phone’s recorded software versions with Samsung’s current requirement. A device below that baseline may simply be outside the supported software range. If the versions meet the requirement, search again from the phone’s own Galaxy Store rather than from a desktop browser, and check whether the store is signed in and functioning normally.

  • Galaxy S23 sports a 6.1-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X flat display with adaptive 48–120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and a peak brightness high enough for strong outdoor visibility — giving you vibrant, crisp visuals and smooth motion while staying compact.

An absent listing still should not be “fixed” by downloading an unofficial package from an unrelated site. Samsung identifies Galaxy Store as the distribution channel, and a sideloaded copy would not establish official compatibility or expected updates.

If the app installs but a tool is missing

Do not assume the installation failed. Samsung specifically notes that menus and functions may vary by model and installed software. A tool may also be conditional: the app can hide an option when it does not detect the type of blur, reflection, distortion or other image characteristic that the function requires.

Reading the dates correctly

Samsung’s Global Newsroom announcement was published on June 20, 2023, and the US newsroom announcement followed on June 28, 2023. Those announcements are useful historical records of the initial rollout, including the selected S, Note and foldable families and the statement that A-series, M-series and tablet support would come later.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The current US support guidance accessed October 13, 2026 uses a newer software threshold: Android 14 and One UI 6.0 or above. When the historical list and the current requirement appear different, use the current support wording and the phone’s live Galaxy Store result for a present-day decision. Do not infer that every model released after the 2023 announcement is included, and do not infer that every model named in 2023 remains eligible without checking its installed software.

A practical decision checklist

  • Is the device a phone rather than a tablet? The current quoted support sentence refers to phones, while the 2023 announcement discussed tablet support as a later expansion.
  • Does Settings show Android 14 with One UI 6.0 or newer?
  • Does Galaxy Store on that exact device display Galaxy Enhance-X as installable?
  • After installation, does the app expose the editing function you need?
  • Are you evaluating the actual regional and carrier version, rather than assuming another phone in the same series behaves identically?

If all of these checks line up, you have the strongest available evidence that Enhance-X is usable on your phone. If they do not, the mismatch identifies what remains unresolved: software eligibility, store availability or model-specific feature behavior.

Bottom line for common Galaxy families

Owners of phones named in Samsung’s 2023 launch announcement have a historical basis for expecting support, but the announcement is not a current guarantee. Owners of A-series, M-series or tablet devices should not rely on the phrase “support would come later” as proof of present availability. For every family, the decisive test is the combination of installed Android and One UI versions plus the Galaxy Store result on the individual device.
