Yes—according to the current Steam listing, Amazing Slot Survivor has Full Controller Support, specifically lists Xbox Controllers, and includes Steam Cloud. The developers also recommend playing with a controller. SteamDB records single-player play as not requiring an internet connection and marks the game Playable on Steam Deck, but Steam’s own system requirements still list a broadband internet connection. The safest conclusion is that offline single-player play is likely after installation and setup, not an unconditional guarantee.
The game is not released yet; Steam currently gives a planned release date of November 12, 2026. Any feature, compatibility label, or requirement can therefore change before launch.

The underlying entries are the official Steam page and SteamDB’s compatibility metadata. SteamDB is a third-party record, so its offline and Deck fields should be treated as useful guidance rather than a contractual promise.

Controller support: what is confirmed
Full support and a specific controller family
The Steam feature list uses the label Full Controller Support and separately names Xbox Controllers. That is stronger than a generic claim that a game merely accepts gamepad input: the store is presenting controller play as a supported way to play, and Xbox-style pads are the explicitly identified target.

The same listing says, “The developers recommend playing this game with a controller.” That recommendation matters if you are deciding whether to buy a pad for the game rather than treating controller support as an emergency fallback for a keyboard-and-mouse title.
What “full” does and does not tell you
Steam’s label does not publish a button map, vibration details, accessibility options, or a promise that every third-party controller will be recognized identically. It also does not establish native support for a particular PlayStation, Nintendo, arcade, or specialist controller. Those devices may work through Steam Input or another compatibility layer, but that behavior is not confirmed by the listing.
For the least uncertain setup, use an Xbox-compatible PC controller connected by USB or paired over Bluetooth. A wired connection removes Bluetooth pairing and battery variables while you are diagnosing a problem; Bluetooth is more convenient once the game and Steam recognize the device consistently.

Basic setup in Steam
- Connect the controller before starting the game. For Bluetooth, pair it in your operating system first and confirm that Steam sees it.
- Open Steam’s controller settings and verify that the device appears. Steam’s wording can vary by client version, but the controller test screen should show button and stick input.
- Open the game’s library entry and check its controller layout or Steam Input settings. Keep the default layout initially; changing mappings before confirming that the game works can make troubleshooting harder.
- Launch Amazing Slot Survivor and use the in-game prompts to confirm that the expected buttons are being detected. If the game opens with keyboard prompts, press a controller button and allow a moment for the interface to switch.
If the game does not respond
- Reconnect the controller with the game closed, then relaunch. Some games read the first active input device only during startup.
- Disconnect other gamepads, wheels, virtual controllers, or remapping utilities temporarily so Steam has one unambiguous device to expose.
- Try the opposite Steam Input state if the library entry offers a choice. A game may behave better with Steam’s translated layout enabled, while another may prefer direct input.
- For Bluetooth problems, test USB. If USB works, the game is probably receiving valid controller input and the remaining issue is pairing, power management, or the operating system’s Bluetooth connection.

Steam Cloud saves: what the feature means
Cloud support is listed
Steam includes Steam Cloud in the game’s feature list. That means the developer has enabled Steam’s cloud-save facility for the title; it is not the same as saying that every file on your computer, every setting, or every mod is synchronized.
Cloud synchronization normally applies only to save locations and file types that the game has registered with Steam. The exact list can change during development, and the unreleased status means the final implementation is not yet fixed. Treat the cloud feature as a way to carry supported saves between Steam installations, not as a replacement for an independent backup.
How to check the setting
- In your Steam Library, open the game’s Properties window.
- On the General page, look for the Steam Cloud setting. Steam clients use wording such as keeping game saves in Steam Cloud for the title; make sure the option is enabled.
- Start the game while online, create or update a save, and exit normally. Wait for Steam to finish the synchronization indicator before shutting down or switching computers.
- On the second computer, sign in to the same Steam account, allow the game to install, and let Steam complete its cloud download before launching if a sync prompt appears.
Conflicts and offline sessions
If Steam detects different local and cloud versions, read the timestamps and choose the copy that contains the progress you want to keep. Do not blindly select the newest-looking file if you recently played offline: the local clock and the last successful upload may not tell the whole story. When in doubt, copy the local save folder somewhere safe before resolving the prompt.

An offline session cannot upload a new save until Steam reconnects. When you return online, allow synchronization to finish and check that the intended save is now the current cloud copy. Cloud availability also depends on Steam’s service being reachable; a listed feature cannot prevent temporary service outages or a damaged local save.
Offline play: the important qualification
Why the two listings appear to disagree
Steam’s official system requirements include Network: Broadband Internet connection. Separately, SteamDB records requires_internet_for_singleplayer 0, meaning its metadata identifies the single-player portion as not requiring an internet connection. These statements can coexist: a broadband connection may be required for downloading, authentication, updates, or online Steam features even when the installed single-player executable can run without an active connection.
Because the game has not launched, no public guarantee establishes every offline scenario. Describe the result as likely offline single-player play after installation, not as “works unconditionally without internet.”

Prepare before disconnecting
- Install the game while online and allow Steam to finish all downloads and updates.
- Launch it once with a connection. This gives Steam and the game a chance to complete first-run setup and confirms that your installation starts normally.
- Play far enough to create a save, then exit and wait for the Steam Cloud status to settle if cloud synchronization is enabled.
- In the Steam client, use the account or Steam menu option to switch to Offline Mode. Restart Steam when prompted and confirm that the library still shows the installed game.
- Disconnect Wi-Fi or unplug Ethernet and launch the game from the offline library. Test the exact single-player activities you expect to use while disconnected.
Doing this test before travel or a service outage is more reliable than discovering an authentication prompt after you are already offline. Keep the device powered and avoid deleting local files: Steam Cloud cannot restore a save while the client is disconnected.
What will not work normally offline
- Steam Cloud uploads and downloads must wait until the client reconnects.
- Game updates, file validation that needs Steam’s servers, and newly downloaded content require a connection.
- Any online service the final game adds will be unavailable without connectivity, even if its core single-player mode remains playable.
If Steam refuses to start the title offline, reconnect once, launch it successfully, and repeat the Offline Mode test. An incomplete update, an uncompleted first launch, or a cloud-conflict prompt can look like a fundamental offline restriction when it is actually a setup state.

Steam Deck compatibility
Current status
SteamDB marks Amazing Slot Survivor as Playable on Steam Deck and records accessible default controller-configuration functionality. “Playable” is not the same as “Verified”: it signals that some manual attention or minor limitations may remain, and it does not promise a particular frame rate, battery life, text size, or performance profile.

SteamDB also notes that external Bluetooth or USB controllers may require manual switching. In practice, that means the Deck’s built-in controls can be available while an external pad is connected but not automatically selected as the active controller.
Using the Deck and an external controller
- Start the game with the Deck’s built-in controls first. Confirm that the default layout is accessible and that menus, movement, and confirmation buttons respond.
- For a Bluetooth or USB pad, connect it before launching when possible, then open the Quick Access controller settings and move the external device to the desired controller slot if Steam presents that option.
- Return to the game and verify that prompts and input come from the intended device. If the Deck still has priority, switch the controller order manually and relaunch.
- Keep a working layout available for the built-in controls. It provides a fallback if the external pad disconnects or Steam reorders devices.
No released performance test is established yet, so the Playable label should answer the compatibility question—not serve as a promise of a particular graphics setting or battery result.
Release timing and how much confidence to place in the labels
Steam lists November 12, 2026 as the planned release date. Until that date, the store page can change its feature list, requirements, controller wording, Deck status, or cloud implementation. SteamDB may also update its metadata as Valve or the developer changes the package.
Before purchasing or planning a long offline trip, revisit the Steam product page for the latest requirements and features, then check the SteamDB information page for current Deck and single-player-internet metadata. After launch, community reports at the Steam Community hub can reveal version-specific controller or offline issues, but they should supplement rather than replace the official requirements.
