Usually, no—and a VPN is not a dependable or officially authorized solution for watching Law & Order abroad. Peacock states that its service is available in the United States and certain U.S. territories, while its terms restrict access from outside the United States and allow geographic restrictions to be enforced with location information. A VPN might change the apparent network location, but Peacock does not promise that it will work, and its published guidance does not authorize using one to bypass a territorial block.
Your best option depends on where you are going. Domestic U.S. travel generally remains covered by Peacock’s household-device guidance. Temporary travel from one EU country to another can be covered by EU portability rules when you have a qualifying paid online-content subscription. Elsewhere, check for a licensed local viewing option. If you need guaranteed access without a connection, download eligible episodes before leaving.
Start with the destination, not the VPN
The answer changes according to the country or territory you visit, the subscription you hold, and the specific episodes you want. The fact that Law & Order appears in Peacock’s catalog does not mean every season is available everywhere. Peacock says availability can vary by location, rights, service tier, and time, so verify the actual episodes before your trip rather than relying on the series title alone.

What Peacock’s availability and terms actually say
Law & Order is listed, but the catalog is not permanent
Peacock’s official title page currently lists Law & Order and its season catalog. That is evidence that the series is offered on Peacock at the time you check, not a guarantee that every season or episode will remain available through your departure date. Streaming rights can change, and Peacock expressly says content may differ by location, service tier, and time.

Before traveling, open the title page while signed in and inspect the season and episode list. Check the particular episodes you intend to watch, especially if you are following a story arc or want a complete season. A search result for the show alone is not enough: an individual episode may be unavailable on your plan, removed before your trip, or unavailable in the place where you are staying.
Domestic travel is different from international travel
Peacock’s household help guidance says, “Yes, if you’re away from your home you’ll still be able to watch Peacock on a supported device associated with your household.” That guidance addresses being away from home, such as a hotel or a visit to another U.S. city. It does not turn Peacock into a worldwide service.
Peacock separately identifies the United States and certain U.S. territories as service locations. A trip within that published service area is therefore a different case from crossing an international border. Your device, account, household association, and the title’s current rights still matter, but a VPN should not be necessary merely because you are traveling domestically.

International access is restricted by territory
Peacock’s terms state that people may not access the service from outside the United States and that geographic restrictions may be enforced using location information. Those terms are the reason a VPN cannot be described as an approved travel method. The official pages do not establish that a particular VPN will work, that every account can use one, or that bypassing a territorial restriction is authorized.

Even if a connection appears to be in the United States, other checks can still affect playback. A service can use account details, device information, payment-country information, application behavior, or changing network addresses when applying geographic controls. A VPN also cannot restore an episode that has left Peacock or add a season your subscription tier does not include.
When EU portability can preserve your access
There is a narrow regional exception for temporary travel inside the European Union. Your Europe explains that when you pay for an online TV content subscription, “when you travel to another EU country you can stream and download the same films and TV series as you would at home.” In practical terms, a qualifying paid subscription can generally remain usable while you temporarily visit another EU country.
- The trip must be temporary; this is travel portability, not a permanent relocation rule.
- The subscription must be a qualifying paid online-content service.
- The rule concerns travel from one EU country to another. It should not be extended automatically to travel outside the EU.
- Your provider may need to verify your country of residence or other eligibility details.
Do not assume that every account arrangement qualifies. A free, promotional, employer-provided, or otherwise unusual subscription may be treated differently from a standard paid consumer subscription. Check your provider’s portability explanation before departure. EU portability also does not guarantee that a particular Law & Order episode is included in your home catalog; it preserves the content you are entitled to use at home.

It is not a Peacock guarantee
There is no official Peacock promise that a VPN will provide access from another country. Because the terms restrict access outside the United States, a VPN can place you in conflict with the service’s published conditions rather than solve an ordinary travel problem.

It can produce inconsistent results
VPN exit addresses are shared and can change frequently. A service may recognize an address as a hosting or VPN network, reject the connection, request additional verification, or allow the catalog to load but fail when playback begins. Switching servers is not a reliable substitute for a licensed viewing right, and repeated sign-ins can trigger security checks.
It cannot fix catalog and subscription limits
A VPN changes a network route; it does not change the rights attached to your account. If your plan does not include a season, if an episode has been removed, or if the download feature is limited to a higher tier, a different IP address does not correct that limitation.
It may make troubleshooting harder
When playback fails abroad, disabling a VPN, returning to the normal network, and checking the service’s supported-location guidance gives you a clearer diagnosis. If you are traveling in the United States, using a VPN can make a domestic connection appear foreign and create a problem that would not otherwise exist.
Prepare episodes for offline viewing before you leave
Offline viewing is the practical alternative when you expect unreliable hotel Wi-Fi, airplane travel, or no connection at all. Peacock says Premium Plus subscribers can download select content on supported mobile and tablet devices. The feature is title-specific: the presence of Law & Order in the catalog does not mean every episode can be downloaded.

- Confirm the plan. Check that the account is Premium Plus. Peacock’s stated download feature applies to that subscription level.
- Use a supported device. Downloading is available on supported mobile and tablet devices. Update the Peacock app and the device before beginning.
- Check each episode. Open the season and look for the download icon. Only items showing that icon are eligible.
- Download on a dependable connection. Complete the downloads at home, preferably over Wi-Fi, and wait until each item appears in the app’s download list.
- Test before departure. Temporarily disconnect from the internet and start an episode. This confirms that the file is present and that you know where to find it.
- Review the expiration window. Keep the device signed in as required by the app and check the download list again shortly before leaving.

These limits come from Peacock’s help information accessed October 13, 2026, and Peacock notes that rules can change. The download icon and the app’s current download list are the decisive checks. A file that was eligible when you saved it can still be affected if the title’s rights end, and an item that has already started playing follows the shorter 48-hour window.
How to choose a legal option at your destination
If you are leaving the United States and are not covered by EU portability, search the destination’s licensed streaming and digital-purchase services for the exact season and episode. Rights are negotiated by territory, so the answer can differ between neighboring countries and can change over time.
- Search by the exact season and episode, not only “Law & Order.”
- Read whether the listing is a subscription stream, a rental, or a purchase.
- Check audio, subtitle, and rating details if those matter to your trip.
- Confirm whether the service works for visitors using your account’s country and payment method.
- Prefer an option that states its territory and terms clearly rather than an unlicensed mirror or an account-sharing offer.
If you are already abroad, contact the local provider or consult its availability page. Peacock’s U.S. catalog cannot be used as proof that another service in your destination carries the same episodes.

The app works at home but not at a U.S. hotel
- Confirm the device is supported and associated with your household.
- Sign out and back in using the normal account connection; remove a VPN or proxy that could make the location appear foreign.
- Check the title page for the episode and verify that your subscription tier includes it.
- Test another network, such as the hotel’s official Wi-Fi sign-in flow or a permitted mobile connection.
The title appears, but an episode will not play abroad
First identify whether you are in a location covered by Peacock’s published service area or by EU portability. If neither applies, the failure is consistent with the service’s territorial rules. Do not treat repeated VPN changes as confirmation that access is authorized. Use a licensed destination option or an eligible download made before departure.

A downloaded episode disappeared
Check whether playback was started more than 48 hours ago, whether the unwatched item passed 30 days, or whether the title left Peacock. Also verify that you are using the same supported mobile or tablet device and account that created the download. If the episode no longer shows a download icon, its eligibility may have changed.
You need more episodes than the download allowance permits
Premium Plus accounts have a stated limit of 25 downloaded pieces across devices. Remove completed downloads, prioritize the episodes you can realistically watch, and confirm the remaining items in the download list. Do not assume that adding a second device creates a separate allowance; Peacock describes the limit as applying across devices.
A pre-departure checklist
- Write down the country or territory you will visit and determine whether it is within Peacock’s published service area.
- If traveling within the EU, verify that your paid subscription and temporary trip fit portability rules.
- Open Peacock’s Law & Order page and check every season and episode you intend to watch.
- For offline viewing, confirm Premium Plus, update the app, and use a supported mobile or tablet device.
- Download only episodes showing the download icon, then test them with connectivity disabled.
- Keep the 25-item allowance, 48-hour started-playback rule, and 30-day unwatched rule in mind.
- If traveling elsewhere, identify a licensed local stream, rental, or purchase before you leave.
- Save the provider’s current help information because availability and download policies can change.
