Last Light Redux is a separate game

Yes. In a 2014 WIRED interview, a 4A Games representative said: We’ve not changed the storyline or the mechanics that lead to the two endings.
The statement specifically addresses the Redux version of Metro 2033. It means the remaster did not remove the original game’s alternate finale or convert the story into a single ending.
A 2023 academic discussion of Metro 2033 Redux also describes two finales: a canonical ending and an alternate ending. Together, these sources support the conclusion that both outcomes are present in Redux.

What the alternate ending changes
At a high level, the alternate finale allows the player to choose not to destroy the Dark Ones. That is the key distinction relevant to the question of whether Redux contains “all endings.” The game retains the choice structure rather than presenting only the more commonly recognized conclusion.

The existence of two endings should not be confused with two separate campaigns. Both outcomes belong to the same Metro 2033 Redux story, and the edition does not include an additional campaign solely because it has an alternate finale.

What does “all DLC” mean for the collection?

Nintendo’s official UK listing for Metro Redux describes two complete campaigns, all DLC and “a further 10 hours of bonus content.” The 10-hour figure is promotional product-page language from Nintendo, with no year stated on the listing; it should be read as an advertised amount of bonus content, not as an independently measured playtime test.
The Switch description is broad and useful for identifying the package, but it is not an itemized inventory. It confirms that Nintendo presents the collection as an all-DLC edition while leaving the individual add-ons unnamed on the page cited here.
Why platform checks still matter
“All DLC” can be used in a collection description while standalone listings use narrower language such as “previous DLC content.” Editions, regions and storefront metadata can present the same release differently. Before purchasing, check:

Likewise, the DLC statement for Last Light Redux concerns earlier Last Light content. It should not be expanded into a claim that every Metro-branded add-on released by the publisher is included.
