Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is a remake of the 2010 adventure in which Mickey explores Wasteland, a world of forgotten Disney characters, using paint to restore or create and thinner to change the environment and uncover secrets. It first launched in 2024 on Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and PC; a Nintendo Switch 2 version became available on October 6, 2026.
What is Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed?
Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is a 3D platforming adventure and remake of the 2010 game. Purple Lamp developed it in collaboration with Disney Games, and THQ Nordic published it. Mickey travels through Wasteland, a setting populated by forgotten Disney characters, and uses a magical brush to affect the world around him.
How the brush works
- Paint restores parts of the environment or creates elements that help Mickey progress.
- Thinner alters or removes parts of the surroundings and can expose secrets.
The two tools make exploration more than a matter of jumping between platforms: what Mickey paints or thins can change the route and what he discovers. The official game site describes the brush as central to shaping Wasteland: Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed official site.

The original 2024 release is listed for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The Nintendo Switch 2 version became available October 6, 2026.

What is different about the Switch 2 version?
According to THQ Nordic, the Switch 2 version offers higher-resolution visuals and an improved framerate, supports mouse-style controls using Joy-Con 2, and includes the Costume Pack DLC. These are publisher-stated features; the announcement does not provide benchmark figures or a measured comparison with the original Switch version.

If choosing between Switch and Switch 2, check the exact platform name on the store listing before buying. A listing for one version should not be assumed to include the other unless its terms say so.
