There is no single monthly price for a DISH Wally. The Wally is a receiver; the recurring charge is for DISH programming. DISH’s RV page advertises an existing-customer DISH Outdoors add-on for $5 per month and new programming starting at $74.99 per month. Separate DISH For My RV pages list standalone Pay As You Go starting at $47.99 and $72.99 per month. Those are distinct advertised starting prices, not a reconciled universal rate or a guaranteed bill total.
What does the monthly DISH Wally cost cover?
A Wally HD receiver is equipment used to receive DISH programming. For RV viewing, DISH describes a setup using a portable satellite antenna and Wally receiver. The receiver itself does not set your monthly programming rate: that depends on whether you add RV service to an existing DISH account or choose standalone Pay As You Go service, as well as the package and months of service you select.

The $47.99 and $72.99 standalone figures differ, and the pages do not provide enough matched package or date detail to explain the difference. Do not treat either as a confirmed rate for every package. Check the current channel lineup and ask for a quote for the specific service path before ordering. These advertised starting figures also are not personalized bill totals.
What does the receiver and antenna cost upfront?
Plan for equipment separately from recurring programming. DISH’s RV page lists Playmaker-and-Wally bundles starting at $428 SRP. That is a starting equipment price, not a monthly service charge. DISH RV service

Do you pay during months you are not traveling?
DISH For My RV describes Pay As You Go as charging only for months used. That makes it a seasonal-use option rather than a reason to assume a fixed year-round total. Confirm how service pauses and reactivation work for the account and package you choose. What can add to the cost or affect what you can watch?
Package and local channels
The package you select determines the programming you receive; compare the current channel lineup rather than choosing on the starting price alone. Local-channel availability depends on geography. DISH says updating local channels through MyDISH may require an additional account. DISH RV service

Netflix integration requires a Netflix subscription, a Wi-Fi adapter, and an internet connection, according to the retailer’s feature information. Those are separate requirements from satellite programming. DISH For My RV: Tuned In To You

How to estimate your own DISH Wally budget
- Choose the account route. Ask DISH whether you qualify to add DISH Outdoors to an existing account, or request a standalone Pay As You Go quote. Do not substitute the $5 add-on figure for standalone service.
- Confirm the package and recurring charge. Match the quote to the channels you want and the months you expect to activate. The published standalone starting prices differ across pages.
- Price the equipment separately. Confirm whether you need both a Wally receiver and a compatible portable antenna, and whether a bundle or separate components best fit your setup.
- Add only the connected features you need. Account for the Wi-Fi adapter and internet access for Netflix integration, and confirm any DVR hardware and activation charge if recording matters to you.
- Check location and activation timing. Ask about local channels for your travel area and allow extra setup time if activating for the first time or after extended inactivity.
Why residential DISH prices may not answer the RV question
DISH’s residential terms describe a separate two-year offer. Those terms do not establish the rate for RV Pay As You Go or the DISH Outdoors add-on, so a residential promotion should not be used to calculate a Wally RV monthly bill. DISH legal terms
