Room dimensions alone therefore cannot settle whether it will suit your space. Use the rating as a starting point, and consider whether you can route the exhaust to a suitable window and whether the room’s layout allows the supplied kit to fit and seal. Installation: plan for the exhaust and the window
Like other portable air conditioners, the DCP14MULTI needs its exhaust routed to a window. Dimplex describes the included window kit as suitable for sash and sliding windows. In practice, compatibility depends on the opening and height of your particular window, the hose route, and whether the connection stays secure and sealed.
