The Dimensity 9300+ is the higher-tier chipset and leads the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 in the benchmark results available here. That does not guarantee that every phone with it will run cooler, last longer, or outperform every 7s Gen 4 phone in a long gaming session: handset cooling, power limits, software, and other hardware affect real-world results.
How do the Dimensity 9300+ and Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 compare?
MediaTek positions the Dimensity 9300+ as a flagship smartphone platform. The Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 belongs to Qualcomm’s 7-series. Their CPU configurations and supported platform features also differ, with the Dimensity listing higher maximum CPU clock speeds and newer memory and connectivity options. Those are chipset capabilities, not a guarantee that a phone maker will implement every feature.
| Specification | MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ | Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 |
|---|---|---|
| Platform positioning | Flagship smartphone platform | Snapdragon 7-series platform |
| CPU | 1× Cortex-X4 up to 3.4 GHz; 3× Cortex-X4 up to 2.85 GHz; 4× Cortex-A720 up to 2.0 GHz | Kryo CPU: 1 prime core up to 2.7 GHz, 3 performance cores up to 2.4 GHz, and 4 efficiency cores up to 1.8 GHz |
| GPU | Arm Immortalis-G720 MC12 | Qualcomm Adreno GPU; the cited official specifications do not identify a more specific model |
| Memory and storage support | LPDDR5X or LPDDR5T up to 9600 Mbps; UFS 4 with MCQ | LPDDR5 up to 3200 MHz or LPDDR4X up to 2133 MHz; UFS 3.1 |
| Wi-Fi and Bluetooth | Wi-Fi 7; Bluetooth 5.4 | Wi-Fi 6 or 6E; Bluetooth 5.4 (product brief) |
| Cellular support | 5G sub-6 GHz and mmWave | 5G sub-6 GHz and mmWave; product brief lists downlink speeds up to 2.9 Gbps |
| Camera and video support | Up to 320 MP sensor support; video capture up to 8K at 30 fps or 4K at 60 fps | Up to 200 MP photo capture; product brief lists up to 4K at 30 fps HDR capture |
| AI | MediaTek NPU 790 generative AI engine | Qualcomm AI Engine and Hexagon processor features; on-device generative AI is supported |
These are manufacturer platform specifications and support ceilings, not proof that a particular phone includes each feature. For example, a chipset’s camera resolution support does not tell you which sensors a phone uses or how its image processing performs. Check the exact handset specifications for implementation details. See MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300+ specifications, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 product page, and the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 product brief.
Which chipset scores higher in benchmarks?
NanoReview’s comparison page reports higher scores for the Dimensity 9300+ in the listed AnTuTu 10 and Geekbench 6 results. These are third-party page-reported figures, accessed in 2026—not scores published by the chipset makers or results from a controlled comparison of equivalent retail phones.

| Benchmark | Dimensity 9300+ | Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 |
|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu 10 | 2,100,510 (NanoReview, accessed 2026) | 854,884 (NanoReview, accessed 2026) |
| Geekbench 6 single-core | 2,302 (NanoReview, accessed 2026) | 1,214 (NanoReview, accessed 2026) |
| Geekbench 6 multi-core | 7,547 (NanoReview, accessed 2026) | 3,314 (NanoReview, accessed 2026) |
| 3DMark Wild Life | 14,766 (NanoReview, accessed 2026) | No result shown on the comparison page |
The 3DMark entry is not a head-to-head result because NanoReview does not show a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 score there. None of these figures establishes battery life, heat, or sustained gaming performance for a specific handset. Read NanoReview’s Dimensity 9300+ vs Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 comparison for the published scores.
What does the performance gap mean in practice?
The Dimensity’s flagship positioning and its lead in the reported benchmark results make it the stronger choice on paper if your priority is peak platform performance. Benchmark scores can help distinguish broad performance tiers, but they cannot predict the exact experience of two phones without testing those phone models under comparable conditions.
Rank #2
- Carrier: This phone is locked to Tracfone, which means this device can only be used on the Tracfone wireless network. Tracfone plan required, activating is easy, just 3 steps.
- DISPLAY: Immersive viewing on a 6.7-inch super-bright 120Hz display with powerful stereo speakers and Bass Boost for cinematic entertainment.
- CAMERA SYSTEM: Advanced 50MP Quad Pixel camera captures sharp, detailed photos and videos in any lighting condition
- PERFORMANCE: Lightning-fast 5G connectivity paired with a powerful processor and RAM Boost for smooth multitasking.
- BATTERY LIFE: Long-lasting 5000mAh battery with TurboPower charging technology delivers hours of power in minutes.
A handset’s cooling system and power limits influence how well it sustains CPU and GPU workloads. Screen resolution and refresh rate, memory and storage configuration, firmware, and the software being run also shape performance. The available scores do not establish which chipset delivers longer battery life or better sustained gaming in equivalent phones.

- Long-session performance: Look for tests of the exact phones after extended CPU or GPU use, not only short benchmark runs.
- Cooling and sustained power: Phone design and thermal limits can affect performance after the device warms up.
- Battery endurance: Compare measured results under workloads like yours. Chipset specifications alone do not establish which phone lasts longer.
- Display: Resolution, refresh rate, brightness, and power use affect both the viewing experience and energy consumption.
- Cameras: Compare sensor hardware and image processing. The chipset’s supported megapixel maximum is not a measure of photo quality.
- Network compatibility: Confirm the phone supports the bands used by your carrier and in your region.
- Configuration and ownership: Compare RAM, storage, software update policy, and price for the exact models.
When were these chipsets introduced?
MediaTek announced the Dimensity 9300+ on May 7, 2024, describing it as an update to the Dimensity 9300 with increased clock speeds and enhancements for on-device generative AI. Qualcomm describes the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 in relation to improvements over its previous generation; that comparison does not directly establish how it performs against the Dimensity 9300+.
MediaTek executive JC Hsu said the chip would support a broader generative AI application ecosystem through LLM support and on-device LoRA Fusion. This is a statement about the platform’s intended capabilities, not independent evidence of application availability or performance. See MediaTek’s May 7, 2024 announcement.
