The Dimensity 1300 is substantially more capable on paper than the Helio G91: it has newer, faster CPU cores, a more powerful GPU configuration, a smaller manufacturing process and 5G support. NanoReview’s current benchmark aggregates also favor the Dimensity 1300, though they are not results from a controlled test of phones under identical conditions.

Dimensity 1300 vs Helio G91 specifications

The key distinction is their intended performance tier: the Dimensity 1300 is a 5G smartphone platform with four Cortex-A78 performance cores, while the Helio G91 is a 4G platform built around older Cortex-A75 and Cortex-A55 cores.

Specification MediaTek Dimensity 1300 MediaTek Helio G91
CPU 1 × Cortex-A78 up to 3.0 GHz, 3 × Cortex-A78 up to 2.6 GHz, and 4 × Cortex-A55 up to 2.0 GHz. MediaTek 2 × Cortex-A75 up to 2.0 GHz and 6 × Cortex-A55 up to 1.8 GHz, as listed by NanoReview. MediaTek lists the core types but not individual core counts or clock speeds on its product page.
Manufacturing process 6 nm, per MediaTek. 12 nm, per NanoReview; MediaTek’s product page does not state the process.
GPU Nine-core Arm Mali GPU, per MediaTek; NanoReview identifies it as Mali-G77 MP9. Mali-G52 MC2, per MediaTek.
Cellular connectivity Integrated 5G modem; MediaTek lists 5G dual-SIM capability. MediaTek lists 4G technologies; its product page does not list 5G capability.
Memory and storage LPDDR4X and UFS 3.1, per NanoReview. LPDDR4X and eMMC 5.1, per MediaTek.
Display support Supports high-refresh-rate displays; a maximum refresh rate is not stated on the reviewed MediaTek page. Up to 90 Hz and 2520 × 1080, per MediaTek.

The Dimensity 1300 specifications page is hosted in MediaTek’s Chinese-language tablets section, but describes the chipset as a high-end 5G smartphone platform. For the Dimensity’s explicit GPU model and memory/storage details, the figures above rely on NanoReview rather than MediaTek’s broad platform specifications.

Which chipset has the faster CPU?

The Dimensity 1300 has the stronger CPU configuration. Its four Cortex-A78 cores—one clocked up to 3.0 GHz and three up to 2.6 GHz—are newer and faster than the Helio G91’s listed two Cortex-A75 cores, which reach up to 2.0 GHz. Both have four additional Cortex-A55-class efficiency cores in the Dimensity’s configuration; the Helio G91 has six.

#1 Best Overall
Nothing Phone (2a) Smartphone Unlocked 5G Android Phone Dimensity 7200 Pro, 50MP Dual Camera Cell Phone, 6.7'' AMOLED Display, 5000mAh Battery, NFC (Black, 8+128GB)
  • Unlocked for All GSM Carriers Only (Excluding Verizon, Sprint, US Cellular), No CDMA. Dual SIM, Networks: 2G GSM, 3G, 4G LTE, 5G
  • 6.7" inch, Flexible AMOLED, 1084 x 2412 (394 PPI), 240 Hz, Corning Gorilla Glass 5
  • 128GB Storage, 8GB RAM
  • MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro, Octa Core, Up to 2.8 GHz
  • Nothing OS 2.5 Powered by Android 14

That hardware difference points to stronger peak and multicore capability for the Dimensity 1300, but it does not guarantee a particular app-loading time or sustained speed in every phone. Cooling, firmware, memory and the phone maker’s implementation influence real-device performance.

Which chipset has better graphics?

The Dimensity 1300 is the stronger graphics platform on paper. MediaTek describes its GPU as a nine-core Arm Mali design; NanoReview identifies the model as Mali-G77 MP9. The Helio G91 uses Mali-G52 MC2, according to MediaTek. The GPU configurations favor the Dimensity for graphics-heavy work, but actual gaming performance also depends on a phone’s cooling, software, display resolution and game settings.

Benchmark comparison

NanoReview’s pages display the following AnTuTu 11 and Geekbench 6 aggregates, accessed in 2026:

Benchmark aggregate Dimensity 1300 Helio G91
AnTuTu 11 954,090 354,158
Geekbench 6 single-core 1,114 405
Geekbench 6 multi-core 3,281 1,407

The displayed AnTuTu 11 aggregate for the Dimensity 1300 is about 2.7 times the Helio G91 figure, calculated from those listed values. Treat that as a comparison of page aggregates, not a controlled-test ratio: the scores come from device submissions and can vary between handsets.

Sample sizes also affect confidence in the Geekbench figures. NanoReview lists nine Geekbench samples for the Dimensity 1300 and fewer than three for the Helio G91, so the G91 aggregate is particularly uncertain. These are dynamic third-party aggregates, not a head-to-head test conducted under matched phone, cooling or software conditions. Compare results only when the benchmark version and handset conditions match; scores from different AnTuTu or Geekbench versions are not directly interchangeable.

5G and other practical differences

Connectivity is a clear dividing line: the Dimensity 1300 supports 5G, including dual-SIM capability listed by MediaTek, while MediaTek’s Helio G91 specification page lists 4G technologies and no 5G capability. A phone with the Helio G91 is therefore a 4G option, regardless of its other features.

Storage is another difference in the listed configurations. NanoReview lists UFS 3.1 for the Dimensity 1300, while MediaTek lists eMMC 5.1 for the Helio G91. These are platform specifications, not a complete description of every phone’s configuration; check the exact handset model and memory/storage variant before buying.

How to choose between phones using these chipsets

If two otherwise similar phones are available, the Dimensity 1300 offers the stronger underlying hardware and 5G. But chipset choice alone is not enough to judge a handset’s value or everyday experience. Compare the complete models, especially:

  • Memory and storage: Check RAM capacity and the exact storage type and capacity on the handset listing.
  • Cooling and sustained use: A phone’s thermal design affects how long it can maintain high performance, particularly in games.
  • Display: Resolution and refresh rate affect both visual smoothness and the workload the phone must render.
  • Software support: Verify the manufacturer’s update policy and the device’s current software status.
  • Price and local availability: Compare the exact configuration in your region rather than inferring value from the chipset name.

Examples of phones listed with these chipsets include the OnePlus Nord 2T and Oppo Reno 8 for the Dimensity 1300, and the Xiaomi Redmi 13 4G and Tecno Spark 30 for the Helio G91. These examples do not establish that a particular model, configuration or price is available in every market, or that an older phone is a good purchase today.
