No confirmed Ripple–Privy partnership to bring embedded wallets to the XRP Ledger is established by the available official sources. Privy has described its developer wallet platform and Stripe acquisition, but the cited announcements do not confirm XRPL support, a Ripple integration, or a launch timeline. Developers should not treat the headline claim as an announced or available feature.
What is confirmed about Privy and Stripe?
Privy announced on June 11, 2025, that Stripe was acquiring it. Privy said it would continue operating as an independent product and described its service as an API developers can use to create wallets, sign transactions, and integrate onchain systems. Read Privy’s announcement.
That announcement establishes the acquisition and Privy’s broad product purpose; it does not establish a Ripple partnership or support for XRP Ledger. The fact that Privy’s wallet infrastructure is designed for developers does not, by itself, show that it supports any particular blockchain.

The available official materials do not resolve either question. They do not confirm XRPL account creation, transaction signing, asset support, or a planned or live integration. Ripple’s press-release listing includes recent releases through October 12, 2026, but the surfaced items do not include the claimed partnership. An omission from a listing is not conclusive proof that no announcement exists; it is not confirmation either. Check Ripple’s Press Center for any later announcement.

Until Ripple or Privy publishes a direct confirmation, developers should treat XRPL compatibility and availability as unverified—not as a feature they can enable in a Privy dashboard or SDK.

Stripe’s Sessions 2026 announcement describes flexible custody through Privy, including custodial and self-custodial options, alongside other wallet features. The surfaced announcement does not say those features support XRP Ledger or involve Ripple. See Stripe’s Sessions announcement.

Stablecoin-backed consumer card components
On September 9, 2026, Privy announced prebuilt components for stablecoin-backed consumer cards, integrated through Privy’s React SDK and a managed Stripe Issuing program. Privy said that card program covers 25+ countries. That coverage figure applies to the card program described in that announcement; it says nothing about XRPL access or the geographic availability of a possible wallet integration. What developers need to verify before building
A partnership headline alone would not tell a developer what can be shipped. A useful confirmation from the companies would need to specify the actual network functions, key handling, developer access, and rollout conditions. Until those details are published, do not infer them from Privy’s general wallet APIs or other Stripe-era product updates.

- Network features: whether the product can create XRPL accounts, sign transactions, submit them, and handle the relevant assets.
- Custody and signing: whether keys are custodial or self-custodial, who controls signing, and what end users are asked to do.
- Developer access: which SDKs or APIs support XRPL, what configuration is required, and whether access is generally available or limited.
- Availability: whether the integration is announced, in testing, or live, and any regional or eligibility restrictions.
- Responsibility: which company maintains the integration and provides support for network-specific issues.
What developers can use today
From the cited materials, developers can establish that Privy offers a developer API for wallet creation, transaction signing, and onchain integrations, and that Stripe has described custody options and related wallet capabilities. Those materials do not establish that any of those functions work with XRP Ledger. Confirm network support in current official Privy documentation or a direct Ripple or Privy announcement before committing to an XRPL implementation.
