The official ATLUS Steam sale page promoted Persona games and included a preorder prompt for Persona 4 Revival, but it did not announce a new game. The available official information does not establish what fans interpreted as a tease or confirm that anyone was baited. Separately, Sega had already announced Persona 6 in June 2026, with its release date still unannounced.
What did the Atlus Persona Steam sale page show?
The Steam ATLUS Developer Sale page, presented by Sega and ATLUS, promoted Persona titles as standalone experiences and included a prompt to preorder Persona 4 Revival. That is documented sale-page promotion; it is not evidence of a hidden reveal or a newly announced Persona game.
The official material available does not identify a particular graphic, phrase, or other page element as the alleged tease. It also does not document the fan response. So the headline claim that ATLUS “baited fans” should be treated as an interpretation, not a verified account of what happened.
How did the Autumn Sale vary by platform?
ATLUS announced its Autumn Sale on September 25, 2026, across Steam, PlayStation Store, and Nintendo eShop. ATLUS said sale periods, eligible games, and discounts vary by platform, so an offer on one store should not be assumed to apply to another.

| Metaphor: ReFantazio | ATLUS announcement; platform-specific availability varies | 60% off | Announced September 25, 2026; the announcement says sale periods and eligible titles vary by platform. |
| Persona 3 Reload and other Persona Steam titles | Steam, Japan-region listings | Persona 3 Reload was listed at 70% off | The listed Japan-region offers ended October 8, 2026. They are historical listings, not current global prices. |
The figures in ATLUS’s September announcement describe highlighted discounts, not a guarantee that every title or platform had the same offer. Check the store for the relevant region and platform to determine whether a sale is currently available.
Was the sale page hinting at Persona 6?
The official sale-page information does not support that conclusion. Sega announced Persona 6 separately on June 8, 2026, for Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series X|S, Windows, PlayStation 5, and Steam. Sega listed the release date as unannounced. The sale page’s Persona 4 Revival preorder prompt is not the Persona 6 announcement.

That distinction matters: a promotional page can mention an existing or upcoming title without signaling another game. Nothing in the documented sale-page details confirms a new reveal, hidden clue, or deliberate bait-and-switch.
