Apple has not been shown to officially announce a product called HomeView, a $299 price, a seven-inch screen, or a November 13 shipping date. Current reports describe a possible Apple smart-home display, but those details remain rumors or a publication’s expectations—not confirmed Apple specifications. Reporting separately says Apple confirmed a “Welcome home” event for October 13, 2026; that does not establish that HomeView was announced there.
Did Apple announce HomeView?
The reports available as of October 13, 2026 do not establish that Apple announced a smart display under the name HomeView. Macworld describes HomeView as a placeholder or rumored name and says the product names in its coverage are not official Apple names. The reported “Welcome home” event and the rumored device are separate claims: an event confirmation is not confirmation of a product announcement. Macworld’s October 13 report discusses the distinction.
Until Apple publishes a product page or announcement, treat HomeView as a label used in reporting, not a confirmed product name. The available coverage does not include an attributable official Apple statement about the device.
How much will Apple HomeView cost?
$299 is not a confirmed Apple price. Stuff presents that figure as its author’s expectation, while Macworld also discusses it as a reported expectation rather than an Apple announcement. iPhoneSoft says a French price had not leaked. That regional note does not establish a price elsewhere. Stuff’s October 2026 rumor roundup and iPhoneSoft’s October 11 report provide context, not purchase pricing.

When does Apple HomeView ship?
November 13 is not confirmed as a shipping date in the available reports. Stuff describes November as expected timing, and iPhoneSoft likewise reports on a possible November arrival; neither establishes a specific ship date. Do not treat an expected month—or the title’s exact date—as an availability commitment.
How big is the Apple HomeView screen, and what hardware might it use?
Current reporting suggests a display of about six inches, not a confirmed seven-inch screen. Macworld reports a possible A18 processor and two potential forms: tabletop and wall-mounted. iPhoneSoft also describes the A18 and the two design possibilities. These are reported expectations, not an official specification sheet.

No searched report confirms “HomeView software” as an Apple product or software name. Macworld uses other reported or placeholder names for the software concept. Until Apple identifies the software and its features, the phrase should not be treated as an official label.

Can HomeView control your smart-home devices?
Reports describe a smart-home control purpose, but do not establish compatibility with specific accessories or standards. There is not enough confirmed information to say that a particular device, platform, or protocol will work with it. Wait for Apple’s compatibility list and supported-standard details before buying accessories on the assumption that they will connect.
