Descenders’ listed redeem codes unlock cosmetic items, while Career-Plus opens at 100,000 total REP. Enter codes in Extras → Redeem Code; whether a particular code still works can depend on the current game version and platform. For useful progress, learn to control speed and soften landings, then explore the five bonus-world objectives.
Descenders codes: where to enter them and what to expect
Open Extras → Redeem Code in the game and enter a code. The Descenders Wiki says codes are case-insensitive. Its Items page lists the following cosmetic codes, but does not establish that every one remains redeemable on every platform or version. Check the result in-game rather than treating an old list as a guarantee.

The wiki notes that MERRYCHRISTMAS can have redemption issues and suggests restarting the game if it fails. It also notes that console players may need an online subscription. NATIONS has a specific historical connection: RageSquid and No More Robots announced the code in a Steam post dated July 12, 2019, alongside the Career lobby update. The post also introduced Multiplayer Career, where item unlocks could be earned and rarity was based on the room’s average REP. How to unlock Career-Plus
The Descenders Wiki’s how-to-play guide lists 100,000 total REP as the Career-Plus requirement. REP is the game’s reputation score. If the option is not available yet, continue earning REP in Career and check the mode menu again after reaching the threshold. The guide also names Desert, Jungle, Favela and Glaciers as Career-Plus regions, plus the secret Ridges region. Availability and menus can differ by platform; the guide identifies Mods as Steam-only. Career route and shortcuts
A third-party Cheatbook guide describes the normal Career route as Highlands → Forest → Canyon → Peaks, with a Boss Jump advancing the route. It also reports that completing three successful boss-jump objectives unlocks region shortcuts. Because this route and shortcut detail comes from a third-party guide rather than the official game guide, treat it as a reported route and verify the objective shown in your current game. Riding tips that help you keep control
The Descenders Wiki’s tips focus on matching your speed to the terrain and landing rather than maximizing airtime on every jump. Its recommendations are practical starting points; check your platform’s control bindings if the right-stick directions or respawn control differ.

- Match the jump to the ramp and your momentum. A jump taken too fast can make a landing harder to control. Do not assume full speed is best for every feature.
- Counter-pump just before landing. The wiki describes pushing or holding the right stick up as the rider is about to touch down to soften the impact.
- Tap the brake to manage speed. The tips page recommends short brake taps rather than holding the brake continuously. It says full braking while sliding is an efficient way to lose speed.
- Use respawn when you are stuck. The wiki describes a respawn option for getting trapped off-road or blocked in Career; consult the controls for your platform.
The same tips page reports a danger-speed threshold of 50 km/h (31 mph) associated with a bail costing two lives. Treat that as a wiki-reported rule, not a universal guarantee across every version or situation. Read the Descenders Wiki tips.
Bonus worlds and their hidden objectives
The Descenders Wiki lists five bonus worlds in Career. Completing a world’s objective unlocks it in Freeride; completing all five awards the Go The Extra Mile achievement. Objectives vary, so use the table to identify what each asks you to do rather than riding through each area as if it were a standard race.

Which mode should you play?
The game’s modes suit different goals. These descriptions follow the Descenders Wiki guide; mode availability can vary by platform.
- Career: Follow the main progression route and pursue REP and objectives.
- Career-Plus: A further career session listed for players with 100,000 REP.
- Freeride: Ride without following the standard Career progression; bonus worlds become available here when their objectives are complete.
- Daily Challenge: Take on the daily run.
- Multiplayer Lobby: Ride with other players. Multiplayer Career was introduced in a 2019 update, though that announcement alone does not establish the current feature set on every platform.
- Bike Parks: Ride curated park areas.
- Mods: The guide lists a Mods menu for Steam; do not assume it is available on console.
