Verdict: The De’Longhi PrimaDonna Aromatic ECAM63075TM is a premium convenience machine whose strongest case is breadth: De’Longhi lists 38 hot and iced recipes, automatic bean adjustment, and separate hot- and cold-milk systems. That convenience comes with a U.S. list price of $2,499.95 at the time of retrieval, a deep 18.23-inch body, and some important reservations from a hands-on review. Tom’s Guide praised the menu, convenience, and smooth milk texture, but reported app failures, espresso that tasted weak to its reviewer, and cold brew that resembled an iced Americano. Those are single-reviewer observations, not laboratory results or a guarantee of what every current software version will do.
What the PrimaDonna Aromatic is
The PrimaDonna Aromatic is De’Longhi’s flagship-style bean-to-cup machine for households that want drinks prepared from whole beans with minimal manual work. The U.S. titanium model is designated ECAM63075TM. You add beans and water, choose a recipe on the 5-inch touch display, and the machine grinds, doses, brews and dispenses the drink. Milk drinks use De’Longhi’s LatteCrema Hot and LatteCrema Cool systems rather than a traditional manual steam wand.
The machine is aimed at people who value menu variety and repeatable automation more than compactness or a low purchase price. It can make espresso, drip-style coffee, Americano, milk drinks and iced recipes, while its Bean Adapt and Adaptive Grinding features are intended to alter grind, dose and brewing temperature for the beans you load. Those adjustments are De’Longhi’s stated technology claims; the available independent evidence does not establish a universal improvement for every bean or recipe.
At retrieval, De’Longhi’s U.S. product page listed the machine at $2,499.95 and included a two-year warranty. Both price and warranty terms can change and may differ outside the United States, so check the live listing for your market before ordering.

PrimaDonna Aromatic specifications at a glance
| Specification | ECAM63075TM U.S. information | What it means in practice |
|---|---|---|
| Machine type | Fully automatic bean-to-cup coffee machine | Whole-bean grinding, brewing and milk preparation are automated; you are not buying a manual espresso setup. |
| Recipes | 38 preset hot and iced recipes | The headline advantage is choice, although the exact recipe list and names can vary by regional software. |
| Display | 5-inch touch display | Most everyday selections are made at the machine rather than through a phone. |
| User profiles | Four | Several household members can save preferences separately. |
| Bean profiles | Six | Useful if your household rotates among several coffees and you want separate settings. |
| Milk systems | LatteCrema Hot and LatteCrema Cool | Designed for hot and cold milk textures and for dairy or plant-based alternatives. |
| Dimensions (U.S.) | 18.23 × 10.31 × 16 inches | Depth is substantial; measure the counter and the space needed to reach the water container. |
| Weight | 27.72 lb | It is heavy enough that moving it for cleaning is inconvenient. |
| Water container | 60.87 oz | Capacity supports multiple drinks, but milk drinks and rinsing consume water faster than a single coffee suggests. |
| Bean hopper | 8.82 oz | Enough for multiple servings, with capacity depending on bean size and roast. |
| Grounds container | 14 oz | Spent coffee accumulates in a removable container that must be emptied as prompted. |
These figures describe the U.S. model. Regional versions, retailer listings and electrical requirements should be checked against the exact model number you intend to buy.
What drinks does the PrimaDonna Aromatic make?
De’Longhi advertises 38 preset hot and iced recipes. The published categories include espresso, drip-style coffee, Americano, cold brew and milk-based drinks. “38 recipes” is a count of programmed selections, not a promise that every drink will match a café’s recipe or that every regional machine exposes an identical menu.
Hot coffee and espresso
Espresso is the concentrated base for many selections. Drip-style coffee and Americano provide longer cups using different programmed combinations of brewed coffee and water. The menu is useful for a household in which one person wants a short espresso and another wants a large, milder coffee without changing machines or manually weighing grounds.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsTom’s Guide’s reviewer found the espresso somewhat weak for their taste. That assessment is subjective and came from one hands-on review; it should not be presented as a measured extraction defect. Bean choice, roast freshness, cup size and the machine’s automatic adjustments all affect perceived strength.
Milk-based drinks
LatteCrema Hot is intended to create hot milk foam for drinks such as lattes and cappuccino-style recipes. The reviewer praised the milk as smooth and evenly textured, but reported that hot foam deflated quickly. Foam stability varies with milk type, temperature, cleaning and the selected recipe, so the observation is best treated as a caveat rather than a universal limitation.
De’Longhi says the milk systems support dairy and plant-based alternatives. In practice, different oat, soy, almond and dairy products foam differently; the machine’s compatibility claim does not mean every carton will produce the same density.

Iced drinks and cold brew
LatteCrema Cool is designed for cold milk textures. The menu also includes iced coffee and cold-brew selections. De’Longhi characterizes its cold-brew process as producing a cold-brew-style drink quickly rather than requiring the traditional overnight steep associated with many café recipes.
Tom’s Guide’s reviewer said the resulting cold brew tasted more like an iced Americano. That distinction matters: a programmed cold drink can be convenient without tasting like a 12-hour immersion cold brew. If a traditional, low-acidity steeped profile is your priority, treat the machine’s “cold brew” label as a recipe description and taste expectation to verify, not as independent proof of conventional cold-brew extraction.
How the automation works
Bean Adapt and Adaptive Grinding
De’Longhi describes Bean Adapt and Adaptive Grinding as systems that adjust grind size, dose and brewing temperature to the beans being used. The intended benefit is easier setup when you switch coffees: the machine is supposed to compensate rather than requiring you to tune every parameter manually.
These are manufacturer-described functions, not independently validated performance guarantees. Coffee freshness, roast level, humidity, grinder wear and personal taste still matter. Use the machine’s profile and adjustment tools as a starting point, then judge the cup yourself.
Profiles for households and rotating beans
Four user profiles let household members save personal drink preferences. Six bean profiles are aimed at people who keep more than one coffee available. Together, those numbers make the machine more practical for a family or shared office than a single-user appliance with one global setting.

Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Profiles do not remove the need to refill beans, empty grounds or clean milk components. They save preferences; they do not create separate physical hoppers or eliminate cross-contamination between coffees.

Touchscreen and app roles
The 5-inch display is the primary control surface. The companion app is intended to add machine-health information and personalization. In Tom’s Guide’s July 31, 2026 hands-on review, the machine-health information was considered useful, but statistics and custom-recipe functions failed to load during testing.
Because that report reflects one publication’s test period and software version, it should not be generalized to every current app release. The practical buying lesson is simple: the machine remains usable from its built-in display, but do not purchase it solely for app statistics or custom recipes unless those functions work in your region and current app version.
How big is the DeLonghi PrimaDonna Aromatic?
The U.S. dimensions are 18.23 inches deep, 10.31 inches wide and 16 inches high. Depth is the number most likely to cause installation trouble. A counter may be deeper than 18.23 inches yet still leave too little clearance to pull out a water container, open a service door or route the power cord.
Recommended Free Tools
Measure before ordering
- Measure usable counter depth from the wall or backsplash to the front edge.
- Mark an 18.23-inch footprint and add clearance for the water container and any rear cable bend.
- Check overhead cabinets against the 16-inch height, including the space needed to add beans.
- Confirm that the machine can be lifted or slid forward; at 27.72 lb, moving it repeatedly is not trivial.
- Locate the outlet and ensure the cord will not force the machine into an unsafe position.
The water container is listed at 60.87 ounces, the bean hopper at 8.82 ounces and the grounds container at 14 ounces. Those capacities reduce refill frequency compared with a small single-serve machine, but milk drinks trigger rinses and use more water, so actual intervals depend on drink volume and household size.
Setup and first-use checklist
Exact prompts can differ by regional firmware, so follow the on-screen instructions and the manual for your model. A sensible first-use sequence is:
- Verify the model and region. Confirm the label says ECAM63075TM (or the correct regional equivalent), and check the electrical requirements before unboxing.
- Place the machine with service clearance. Do not wedge it tightly under cabinets or against a wall where the water container cannot be removed.
- Rinse and fill the water container. Use fresh water and seat the container fully to prevent a no-water warning.
- Add beans to the hopper. Start with one coffee so you can evaluate the factory settings before changing profiles.
- Complete the guided rinse and calibration steps. The machine may run water during startup; keep a cup under the outlets.
- Set up user and bean profiles only after the first cup. Record which coffee is in the hopper so later profile changes remain understandable.
- Prepare milk according to the regional manual. Use the appropriate LatteCrema container and select the hot or cool system that matches the recipe.
- Taste, then adjust. Change one variable at a time. If espresso tastes weak, test a smaller beverage volume or a different bean before assuming the grinder is defective.
Cleaning, descaling and daily ownership
Convenience does not mean maintenance-free. Milk residues, coffee oils, rinse water and mineral deposits all require attention. The De’Longhi Group manual states: Always carry out the descaling cycle when prompted by the machine.
Treat that prompt as a required maintenance event, not an optional warning.

Routine tasks
- Empty the grounds container when the machine requests it and rinse it as directed.
- Empty and refill the drip tray and water container as needed; do not allow stagnant water to sit.
- Flush and clean milk-contact parts after milk drinks, following the regional manual’s disassembly and drying instructions.
- Wipe coffee residue from the dispensing area so dried grounds do not contaminate later drinks.
- Run the machine’s automatic rinse or cleaning cycle when prompted.
- Descale on the machine’s schedule and use only a descaler confirmed for the exact regional model.
The available documentation does not establish compatible accessory part numbers for every market. Verify filter and descaler SKUs against the ECAM63075TM manual or De’Longhi support before buying consumables.
Why maintenance affects taste
Scale can restrict water flow and alter temperature control; old milk residue can affect flavor and hygiene; a full grounds container can interrupt brewing. A machine that is expensive to buy still needs the same basic care as a less costly automatic brewer.
Is the DeLonghi PrimaDonna Aromatic worth it?
It is worth considering when the buyer will use its range and automation frequently. The value proposition is strongest for a household that wants several coffee styles, both hot and cold milk drinks, multiple saved users and a machine that attempts to adapt to different beans.
The case is weaker when the household mainly drinks one espresso or one black coffee, has limited counter depth, expects app-first control, or wants a traditional overnight cold brew. At $2,499.95 on the U.S. page at retrieval, the machine has to replace enough separate routines to justify its cost.
Buy it for these priorities
- A broad one-touch menu that includes hot and iced drinks.
- Automatic grinding, dosing and milk texturing.
- Four user profiles and six bean profiles for shared use.
- Hot and cold milk capability, including support for dairy and plant-based alternatives.
- A built-in touchscreen that can operate the machine even if app features are unavailable.
Think twice when these are your priorities
- The smallest possible footprint or a shallow countertop.
- Manually tuned espresso with maximum control over every extraction variable.
- A guaranteed traditional cold-brew flavor rather than a rapid programmed cold drink.
- Dependable app statistics and custom recipes as essential features.
- The lowest-cost route to a single daily coffee.
PrimaDonna Aromatic vs Eletta Explore: what’s the difference?
Tom’s Guide specifically compared the Aromatic with De’Longhi’s less expensive Rivelia and Eletta Explore, questioning whether the Aromatic’s additional features justify its premium for every buyer. The comparison is a value judgment from that review, not a controlled head-to-head test with a universal winner.
| Decision factor | PrimaDonna Aromatic | Rivelia | Eletta Explore |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price position in the comparison | Higher-priced model; U.S. page listed $2,499.95 at retrieval | Less expensive than Aromatic according to Tom’s Guide; current regional price not stated | Less expensive than Aromatic according to Tom’s Guide; current regional price not stated |
| Hot and cold milk | LatteCrema Hot and LatteCrema Cool | Exact capability not stated in the review summary | Tom’s Guide points to hot and cold milk capability |
| Automatic bean adaptation | Bean Adapt and Adaptive Grinding are advertised | Exact equivalent feature not stated | Exact equivalent feature not stated |
| Recipes and capacities | 38 recipes; U.S. capacities listed above | Not stated in the review summary | Not stated in the review summary |
| Best comparison question | Are the extra profiles, adaptation and menu breadth worth the premium? | Can it deliver the drinks you actually make for less? | Does its hot-and-cold milk offering meet your needs at a lower price? |
Before choosing among them, compare the live regional prices, warranty terms, dimensions, water and bean capacities, recipe menus, milk-container cleaning requirements and current app behavior. “Less expensive” is not a permanent price claim, and a feature listed in one market may be absent or renamed in another.

Cold-brew expectations: what the machine can and cannot promise
The Aromatic’s cold-drink program is attractive because it avoids waiting many hours for a batch. However, speed changes the extraction method and therefore the flavor. De’Longhi’s description is a manufacturer characterization, while Tom’s Guide’s tasting impression differed. Neither source establishes that the machine produces a traditional 12-hour cold brew in a few minutes.
If you prefer bright, concentrated iced coffee, the programmed result may suit you. If you specifically want the rounded, low-acidity profile of immersion cold brew, plan to compare the drink with a separately steeped batch before deciding that the preset meets your definition.
App and connectivity: a realistic expectation
The app can add health information and personalization, but the July 31, 2026 Tom’s Guide review found that statistics and custom-recipe screens failed to load during testing. That is meaningful evidence of a problem encountered at that time, not proof that every owner or later software release will fail.
Use the app as an extra layer rather than the only way to operate the machine. Confirm that your phone, region and account setup are supported, keep the machine’s touchscreen accessible, and check current app reviews or support notices before treating connectivity as a deciding feature.
Troubleshooting the most likely disappointments
Espresso tastes weak
- Check whether the chosen recipe is a long drink rather than a small espresso.
- Try a fresher or darker roast before changing multiple settings.
- Use the relevant bean profile and allow the machine’s adaptation process to complete.
- Clean the brew path and grinder area according to the manual.
- If the taste remains wrong, compare another machine or manual espresso rather than assuming a single reviewer’s preference is a defect.
Cold brew tastes like iced coffee
- Recognize that the preset is a rapid programmed cold drink, not verified overnight immersion.
- Adjust the drink size or strength only within the settings the machine provides.
- Use the cool-milk system for a different iced profile if the recipe menu allows it.
- Compare the result with traditional cold brew before deciding whether the terminology matches your expectations.
Foam collapses quickly
- Serve the drink immediately after dispensing.
- Use milk kept at the temperature recommended in the manual.
- Clean and dry the milk pathway thoroughly.
- Test another dairy or plant-based product, since protein and fat content influence foam.
The app will not load statistics or recipes
- Operate from the machine’s 5-inch display while checking the phone app.
- Confirm the app, phone operating system and account are current.
- Check regional support and machine pairing requirements.
- Contact De’Longhi support if the problem persists; the available Help Center landing page does not itself establish model-specific fixes.
Who should buy the PrimaDonna Aromatic?
This machine makes the most sense for a household that regularly serves different coffee styles and values one-touch preparation over manual control. Four user profiles, six bean profiles, a large menu and two milk-texturing systems are meaningful when several people use the machine every day.
It is a poor fit for a tiny kitchen, a buyer who drinks only one simple coffee, or anyone who defines cold brew strictly as a long immersion extraction. The high price also makes a careful comparison with less expensive machines essential rather than optional.
Final assessment
The PrimaDonna Aromatic is best understood as a high-end convenience appliance, not an automatic guarantee of café-level flavor. Its documented strengths are menu breadth, hot and cold milk capability, household profiles and automated bean-management features. Its documented cautions are the deep footprint, substantial price, maintenance obligations and the mixed independent experience with app functions, espresso strength and cold-brew character.
