The De’Longhi Pinguino PAC EM82K (also listed as PACEM82K) is a cooling-only portable air conditioner rated by its manufacturer at 9,400 BTU/h, with guidance for rooms up to 80 m³. It includes a window kit and 1.25 m exhaust hose, but its published figures are specifications—not independent test results. The practical fit depends on your room, window, electrical supply and tolerance for portable-AC noise.
What the PAC EM82K offers
De’Longhi’s Pinguino EM82K specification sheet lists cooling, fan and dehumidifying modes, three fan speeds, a thermostat, remote control and a 24-hour timer. Handles and castors help move the 31.5 kg unit, and the sheet lists continuous drainage as an option.
The same sheet specifies 220–240 V and 50 Hz. Confirm the exact model suffix, voltage and plug for your market rather than assuming every PACEM82K listing has identical electrical details. The official PACEM82K support center provides model documentation, including safety information and instructions; consult the documentation for your regional unit.
How large a room can it cool?
De’Longhi gives room guidance of up to 80 m³. That is a volume, not a floor-area rating: at an assumed 2.4 m ceiling height, it corresponds to about 33 m²; at 2.7 m, about 30 m². These are arithmetic conversions, not separate manufacturer recommendations.

The sheet lists cooling capacity as 9,400 BTU/h at 35°C and 80% relative humidity, and 2.4 kW at 35°C and 40% relative humidity under EN14511. Because those figures use different stated humidity conditions, do not treat them as identical-condition readings. De’Longhi’s portable air-conditioner guidance advises matching capacity to room size and notes that insulation and heat sources affect cooling needs. A sunny, poorly insulated room or one with substantial heat-producing equipment may be a less favorable fit than a shaded, well-insulated room of the same volume.
How loud is the De’Longhi PAC EM82K?
The specification sheet states 63 dB(A) maximum sound power and 47–50 dB(A) sound pressure. These are manufacturer figures; they are different acoustic measures and should not be compared as if they were the same reading. The available public information does not establish an independent noise test result for this model. If you plan to use it in a bedroom or home office, consider where the unit and its exhaust hose will sit and whether its operating sound will be acceptable in that space.

Energy use and dehumidifying
The manufacturer lists energy class A, an energy efficiency ratio (EER) of 2.6 and 1,000 W input power. These published values describe the product specification, not a measured estimate of your electricity bill; actual consumption depends on operating conditions and use.

Does it include a window kit and exhaust hose?
Yes. De’Longhi’s specification sheet lists a window kit and a 1.25 m outlet hose as included. Confirm that the supplied kit suits your window style and that the hose can reach the installation point. The official support center has documentation for checking setup and safety instructions. Do not assume a replacement hose or kit is compatible without verifying it against the exact model suffix; replacement part numbers and current stock are not established here.
Size, weight and moving it
The manufacturer sheet gives dimensions of 700 × 425 × 345 mm and weight of 31.5 kg. CHOICE rounds the dimensions to 70 × 43 × 35 cm and lists a 120 cm duct, creating a small difference in the published hose length: 1.25 m in the manufacturer sheet versus 120 cm on CHOICE’s page. Check the contents and measurements for the regional listing you intend to buy.

Castors and handles aid repositioning, but the unit’s weight matters if it must be carried between floors. Also allow space for the exhaust hose and the window installation; the body dimensions alone do not describe the full clearance required in use.
