The De’Longhi PAC EL110 ERF WIFI is a cooling-only portable air conditioner rated at 2.9 kW, with Wi-Fi and voice control, fan-only and dehumidifying modes, and an included window vent kit. Its key practical trade-offs are that it must exhaust hot air outdoors and weighs about 33 kg. The published specifications describe the unit, but they do not establish how quickly it will cool a particular room or whether it is good value at today’s local price.
What the PAC EL110 ERF WIFI offers
De’Longhi’s Australian product listing describes the PAC EL110 ERF WIFI as a portable, cooling-only unit with app and voice control. Its listed functions include three fan speeds, a 24-hour timer, fan-only operation and dehumidifying mode. Eco Real Feel is described by the manufacturer as adjusting temperature and humidity; that is a feature claim, not independent evidence of performance or app reliability.
The Australian product page specifies 2.9 kW of cooling capacity and 11,000 BTU/h. De’Longhi says the BTU figure is tested at 35°C and 40% relative humidity, while the kW figure is tested at 35°C and 80% relative humidity under EN14511. The product-page figures are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results. The noise figures use different descriptions—noise pressure and maximum noise level—so they should not be treated as a like-for-like comparison or reduced to a simple “quiet” label. Does it need a window kit?
Yes. Portable air conditioners send hot air out through an exhaust, and De’Longhi says the supplied window kit is used to direct that air outdoors. The unit needs a feasible route to an outside opening; check that the included kit can seal your particular window and that the hose can reach without an awkward room layout. Is the PAC EL110 ERF WIFI noisy?
The available published figures do not support a blanket verdict. De’Longhi lists 47–50 dB(A) as noise pressure on its Australian product page, while its technical service sheet gives up to 64 dB(A) as a maximum noise level. Since those descriptions are not directly comparable, they should not be read as competing measurements of the same thing. The Good Guys’ confirmed-purchase comments for this model include differing impressions of noise; they are individual accounts, and the retailer notes that reviewers may have received incentives. Does it heat as well as cool?
No heating capacity is listed. CHOICE identifies the model as cooling-only, so it should not be treated as a reverse-cycle heater. Its fan-only and dehumidifying modes are separate functions, not substitutes for heating. CHOICE model listing
How much does the PAC EL110 weigh?
De’Longhi’s Australian product page gives a product weight of 32.7 kg; its technical sheet and CHOICE list 33 kg. For practical planning, treat it as a roughly 33 kg appliance. Castors and handles can help with movement across a level surface, but stairs and frequent carrying are a substantial handling consideration. Its listed dimensions are 750 × 450 × 410 mm. What independent testing and owner feedback establish
CHOICE’s public model page identifies the unit and lists selected specifications and accessories, but its Expert Rating, cooling score, energy-efficiency score, high-speed noise test, running costs and recommended room size are members-only. Those results cannot be inferred from the public fields. The Good Guys’ comments offer examples of individual owners’ impressions of cooling and ease of use, alongside mixed noise impressions; retailer feedback is anecdotal rather than a controlled assessment.
That evidence means there is no sound basis here for ranking this model against another portable air conditioner or naming a best-value winner. A useful comparison requires equivalent capacity test conditions, like-for-like noise measurements, comparable energy data and a window-kit fit that works in your room.
