The DeLonghi DEDW6012W is a white, standard-width freestanding dishwasher rated for 12 place settings. It is marked discontinued by CHOICE, and Andoo says it is no longer available, so this is best treated as a review of an older model rather than a current buying recommendation. Its specifications are public, but the available CHOICE page does not reveal the independent cleaning, drying, noise or reliability results needed to judge how well it performs.
Is the DeLonghi DEDW6012W any good?
There is not enough public independent test evidence to give the DEDW6012W a reliable performance verdict. CHOICE has an exact-model page, but its expert rating and results for washing, drying, noise, reliability and satisfaction are restricted to members. A model listing is not itself an endorsement, and the published specifications do not establish how effectively or quietly the dishwasher cleans.
What can be assessed is its basic fit and published feature set: it is a white freestanding model with 12 place settings, six listed programs, and moderate stated energy and water ratings. Those details may help identify whether it suits a space or a second-hand listing, but they are not a substitute for comparative test results. CHOICE’s DEDW6012W page does not make the core test data public.
How large is the DEDW6012W?
Appliances Online lists the dishwasher at 845 mm high, 598 mm wide and 600 mm deep. CHOICE rounds those dimensions to 85 × 60 × 60 cm. It is a standard-width freestanding format, not a compact 45 cm dishwasher or an integrated model.

Measure the available space and the route into the kitchen before buying a used unit. Allow for the connections and installation clearances specified for the actual appliance; nominal product dimensions alone do not confirm that it will fit a particular recess. The retailer links a guide whose cover identifies model DEDW6012SC, although the retailer filename associates it with DEDW6012W. The guide gives the same dimensions and capacity, but it is best treated as a shared-family guide rather than proof of every W-variant detail. Check the rating plate and unit-specific documentation. Appliances Online’s DEDW6012W specification and the CHOICE listing provide the published measurements.
How much water and energy does it use?
The published figures are 4.5 water stars and 10.5 litres of water per cycle, along with 3 energy stars and 265 kWh per year. CHOICE lists the annual energy figure; retailer specifications give the per-cycle water figure. These are product or label claims, not independent measurements of a household’s actual consumption. Real use can vary with program choice, loading and usage patterns.

| Published measure | DEDW6012W figure | Source and qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Place settings | 12 | Appliances Online specification; year not stated |
| Water rating and use | 4.5 stars; 10.5 L per cycle | CHOICE and Appliances Online; product/label figures, not household measurements |

When comparing it with another dishwasher, compare the same kinds of figures and check the test or label basis. A published annual energy estimate and a per-cycle water figure are useful for screening options, but neither tells you the model’s independently measured cleaning results. CHOICE lists the model’s efficiency figures; the retailer’s specification lists its water use per cycle.
Which programs and features are listed?
The retailer specification lists six programs and these features:

- Eco program

These are listed specifications, not evidence that every program suits every soil level or that the machine achieves a particular cleaning result. The family guide describes components including upper and lower baskets, spray arms, a filter assembly, an inlet connector and a drain pipe. Because that guide names DEDW6012SC on its cover, confirm any operating or maintenance detail against the appliance’s rating plate and matching documentation. Appliances Online’s product listing links to the guide.
Is the DEDW6012W discontinued, and can you still buy one?
CHOICE marks the model discontinued, and Andoo’s listing says it is no longer available. That establishes its discontinued or unavailable status at those sources, not that every new, used or remaining-stock unit has disappeared. Current stock can change, so check a seller directly before relying on an old listing. CHOICE’s model page and Andoo’s listing report the status described here.

If you are replacing this model, start with the space and installation type rather than the brand name. Freestanding, compact and integrated dishwashers have different fit requirements. Then compare capacity, published water and energy use, warranty, programs and current availability. For performance, look for accessible independent washing, drying, noise, reliability and measured-consumption results; the public CHOICE page captured for this model does not expose those scores.
