The exact Deep Dream Charcoal Infused Pocket Spring Mattress listed by CHOICE is marked discontinued, and CHOICE’s public page does not show its detailed test results. A current Lifely Deep Dream Super Firm is a related product, but available information does not establish that it is the same model. The distinction matters: specifications and independent observations about the Super Firm variant cannot be treated as a review of the discontinued CHOICE mattress.
What CHOICE’s listing tells you about the reviewed mattress
CHOICE describes its queen-size listing as a mattress-in-a-box with a spring build, pocket-spring core and claimed firm feel. The model is marked discontinued. Its public listing records the following details:
| CHOICE listing detail | Recorded value |
|---|---|
| Springs | 257 per square metre |
| Layers | 12 |
| Weight | 49 kg |
| Thickness | 34 cm |
| Queen dimensions | 207 × 153.5 × 34 cm |
| Listed price | $549; the page also shows $469 as a sale-or-bargaining price. These are historical listing figures, not current prices. |
| Cover composition | Not stated on CHOICE’s public listing. |
CHOICE’s expert rating and detailed test results are member-only. The public listing therefore does not establish how this model performed in CHOICE’s tests for support, sagging resistance, breathability, wear, stability or temperature. The product’s claimed firm feel is not a substitute for those findings. CHOICE’s listing

That has not been established. Lifely currently lists a Deep Dream Super Firm variant, while CHOICE’s product record is marked discontinued. There is no confirmed identity match between that current variant and CHOICE’s reviewed listing, so treat them as separate products unless the seller confirms the exact model and specifications.

Lifely lists the Super Firm variant as 34 cm thick and rates it 8/10 for firmness. The retailer also describes high-density charcoal-infused foam and a five-zone pocket-spring system with six-turn coils, and lists King Single, Double, Queen and King sizes. These are retailer claims about the current Super Firm variant, not specifications that can automatically be assigned to the discontinued CHOICE model. Lifely’s current product page
What an independent review says about the Super Firm variant
Bedbuyer’s review, last updated December 25, 2023, concerns a Deep Dream Super Firm variant—not a confirmed match for CHOICE’s discontinued model. Bedbuyer describes a distinctly firm feel and says it would generally suit back sleepers more than side or stomach sleepers. It reports good motion isolation, reasonable edge support and a strong, stable five-zone spring system. It also notes that the mattress can feel hard and is less responsive when changing position. These are the reviewer’s observations, not CHOICE test results or a clinical assessment. Bedbuyer’s review

How to judge whether the firmness suits you
“Firm” does not mean comfortable for every sleeper. The available independent observations point most clearly toward back sleepers who prefer a hard surface. If you sleep on your side or stomach, or regularly change position, the review offers reasons to be cautious: it says the mattress may be less suitable for those sleeping positions and less responsive during movement. Personal comfort varies, and no clinical suitability finding is available for this mattress.

Check the base, fit and purchase terms
At 34 cm thick, the listed CHOICE queen mattress is substantial; verify that the bed frame, fitted sheets and any headboard arrangement accommodate the mattress’s dimensions. The CHOICE page gives queen dimensions of 207 × 153.5 × 34 cm. Confirm dimensions for the specific product and size you are considering rather than assuming every variant matches.
For the Super Firm variant it reviewed, Bedbuyer recommends a solid bed frame or ensemble base and says flexible slats should be less than 8 cm apart. It warns that an unsupportive foundation may void the warranty. Because warranty terms can vary by product and change over time, check the current seller warranty and base requirements before buying.

Lifely’s product page advertises a 100-day return offer and certification for its current Super Firm variant. Confirm the applicable conditions directly with the seller—including eligibility, collection or return costs, and whether the offer applies to your location—before treating it as a risk-free trial. A retailer’s offer for that variant does not establish terms for the discontinued CHOICE model.
Availability and what to verify before ordering
The CHOICE-listed mattress is marked discontinued, and its current availability, price and warranty could not be established. A separate listing for a similarly named Super Firm mattress at Big Bedding showed sold out; that does not determine availability elsewhere. Big Bedding’s listing

- Confirm the size, dimensions, current price, stock and delivery to your location.
- Read the current trial or return conditions and warranty, including foundation requirements.
- Match the base to the seller’s requirements; do not rely on an older review as the warranty terms for a current purchase.
If you are considering the current Deep Dream Super Firm as an alternative, assess it on its own stated specifications and terms. Do not assume CHOICE reviewed or tested that exact variant.
