Singapore-headquartered data-center platform DayOne announced RM15 billion (about US$3.67 billion) in additional financing from a seven-bank consortium to support continued development of its data-center capacity in Johor, Malaysia. The package comprises a US$2.4 billion offshore term-loan addition and a RM5.5 billion Murabahah financing addition; those additions are distinct from the larger amended facility balances.
How much additional financing did DayOne announce?
The newly announced financing is RM15 billion, reported by The Business Times as approximately US$3.67 billion. It is a multi-currency package made up of two additions:
- US$2.4 billion added to an offshore term-loan facility.
- RM5.5 billion added to a Murabahah facility denominated in Malaysian ringgit.
The approximate US-dollar figure is a reported conversion of the RM15 billion announcement, not a separate facility balance. The components are reported in different currencies, so they should not be added as if both were ringgit amounts.

Which banks are involved?
The seven banks named as arrangers are CIMB, Crédit Agricole CIB, DBS, Maybank, OCBC, Standard Chartered and UOB, according to The Edge Malaysia.

How do the additions compare with the amended facility totals?
A U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission-filed offering document records amendments dated September 10, 2026. It says the amendments increased the offshore term-loan facility by US$2.4 billion to US$4.1 billion in total, and increased the MYR Murabahah facility by MYR5.5 billion to MYR13 billion in total. Each facility has a five-year tenure, according to the SEC filing.

What will the financing support?
DayOne says the proceeds support continued development of its data-center platform in Johor, Malaysia. The available announcement does not specify how much is assigned to individual sites, what capacity each project will add, or when particular facilities are expected to be completed.
How does this relate to DayOne’s other financing?
DayOne has also been associated with a separate Singapore project: DBS announced an S$530 million, four-year green loan arranged with OCBC and UOB to support development of a 20 MW data centre in Singapore. That financing is separate from the Johor package and should not be counted as part of the RM15 billion announced for Malaysia. Details appear in DBS’s announcement.
