The short answer: Ultimate Edition is the safer Switch 2 purchase

Ultimate Edition includes the base Cyberpunk 2077 game. That is the primary open-world role-playing experience and the foundation required for the rest of the package. The Switch 2 product is not presented as a stripped-down trial, upgrade token or expansion-only release.
Phantom Liberty is included
The major reason to choose Ultimate Edition is that Phantom Liberty is part of the same package. CD PROJEKT RED characterizes it as a spy-thriller expansion. Free updates and downloadable content

Is there a Standard Edition for Switch 2?

If those details are missing, the listing is not a reliable basis for claiming that Standard is better value.

Choose the game card when you value a physical copy
The Switch 2 Ultimate Edition is available on a 64 GB game card. A physical purchase can suit you if you prefer a boxed copy, want to switch between consoles without re-downloading the entire product, or want a copy that can be lent or resold where local rules and retailer policies permit.
Do not assume the card alone answers every installation question. The official description confirms the card capacity and the included edition, but it does not publish the final installed size, the amount of free console or microSD Express storage required, or whether a day-one or content download is mandatory. Read the game-card packaging, the retailer’s technical notes and the Switch 2 system prompt after insertion. Keep enough free space for any update or supplemental download rather than buying on the assumption that 64 GB equals the complete installed footprint.
Choose the eShop version when convenience matters most
The same Switch 2 release is offered as a Nintendo eShop download. Digital ownership avoids handling a card and lets you launch the installed game without swapping cartridges. It also requires you to review the account and storage conditions shown by Nintendo eShop for your region.

Prices, discounts and availability can change by region and date. A digital price seen in one country or during one promotion is not a universal Standard-versus-Ultimate benchmark.

These are edition-level Switch 2 features, not evidence that one supposed Standard listing has better performance or a different control set. If you see several offers, compare the fields that can actually change your decision instead of relying on the word “Standard.” Use this checklist in order.
- Confirm the platform. The listing must identify Nintendo Switch 2. A product for the original Nintendo Switch or another console is not a substitute.
- Confirm the edition name. The officially documented Switch 2 package is Ultimate Edition. Ask the seller to explain any Standard label.
- Confirm included content. Look for an explicit statement that Phantom Liberty is included. Do not infer it from a photo alone.
- Confirm the format. Distinguish the 64 GB physical game card from a Nintendo eShop download or code.
- Check the price in context. Record the currency, tax treatment, shipping, seller, stock status and date. Prices and promotions are volatile.
