Verdict: The CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme GXi3800BSTV2 is a well-equipped midrange-to-upper-midrange gaming desktop whose strongest combination is an Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, GeForce RTX 5070, 32GB of DDR5 memory, a 2TB SSD and 360 mm liquid cooling inside the distinctive MA-01 chassis. Tom’s Hardware found strong gaming performance and good value at the review price of $2,309.99, while praising the case’s panoramic tempered-glass design and physical RGB controls. The main compromises are Wi-Fi 6 instead of a newer wireless standard and no USB4 or Thunderbolt 4.

This review applies to that specific GXi3800BSTV2 configuration, not every Gamer Xtreme system sold in an MA-01 case. CyberPowerPC changes processors, graphics cards, storage and prices across configurations, so verify the listing you are considering before ordering.

What exactly is the CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme MA-01?

The name combines a desktop family with a chassis designation. The independent review from Tom’s Hardware, published June 18, 2026 and corrected July 1, covered the CyberPowerPC Gaming Desktop GXi3800BSTV2. It is a Gamer Xtreme prebuilt using the MA-01 mid-tower case.

That distinction matters because “MA-01” does not identify one fixed specification. CyberPowerPC also sells lower- and higher-priced systems in the same case, and the company sells the case separately. Treat the GXi3800BSTV2’s parts, benchmark observations and price as configuration-specific.

Is the Gamer Xtreme MA-01 worth it?

At the tested $2,309.99, Tom’s Hardware judged the system a strong-value prebuilt. Its assessment reflected the performance of the Core Ultra 7 270K Plus and RTX 5070, the 32GB memory allocation, 2TB of solid-state storage and the included 360 mm cooler, as well as the convenience of receiving a configured, warrantied computer rather than assembling one.

The value case is strongest for buyers who want a ready-to-use 4K-capable gaming PC and prefer not to source and assemble every component. It is less clear for someone who already owns a power supply, storage or cooling hardware, can build independently, or needs next-generation connectivity. The review found that mock do-it-yourself configurations were within $100 of the prebuilt in most cases, which it described as a nominal premium for having the machine built and ready.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

That comparison should not be treated as a current-market guarantee. Tom’s Hardware compared prices available during its review, and one competing prebuilt was difficult to find. Recheck the exact parts and live price before deciding that the prebuilt premium is still small.

How the reviewed model compares with other systems

System Review-time price CPU GPU Memory/storage noted in the review Availability note
CyberPowerPC GXi3800BSTV2 $2,309.99 Core Ultra 7 270K Plus RTX 5070 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD Tom’s Hardware test system

iBuyPower Y40 Pro $1,899.99 Ryzen 9 7900X RTX 5070 Ti Not stated in the cited comparison Reported as difficult to find

The table shows why a simple GPU-only comparison can mislead. CPU choice, included memory and storage, cooling, warranty service and actual availability all affect the value of a prebuilt.

How well does the RTX 5070 version run games at 4K?

The available gaming result is an informal observation, not a standardized benchmark suite. Charles Jefferies of Tom’s Hardware played Crysis Remastered at 3840 × 2160 with everything set to “Can it run Crysis?” He reported: “I saw between 75 and 85 frames per second (FPS) outdoors, with slight dips in the jungle and wide-open landscapes with lots of shadows.”

That result indicates that this particular RTX 5070 system can deliver a smooth-looking 4K experience in that test scenario, but it does not establish an average for modern games, a minimum frame rate, a ray-tracing result or a performance target for every graphics preset. Different games, upscaling modes, ray-tracing settings, patches and drivers can produce materially different results.

What the hardware implies for buyers

  • The RTX 5070 is the component that determines most GPU-limited 4K performance. Expect to tune resolution scaling, ray tracing or image-quality settings on demanding games rather than assume maximum native 4K in every title.
  • The Core Ultra 7 270K Plus gives the system substantial CPU headroom for high-refresh 1080p and 1440p play, simulation workloads and background applications, although the review does not provide a CPU benchmark table.
  • 32GB of DDR5-6400 is a practical capacity for current gaming, streaming and ordinary creative workloads. It also gives more breathing room than a 16GB entry-level configuration.
  • The 2TB SSD leaves useful space for a large game library. Check the specific drive model and available expansion connectors if you expect to add several more drives.

Tom’s Hardware’s positive performance conclusion belongs to this hardware combination and the games it evaluated. It should not be transferred to a Gamer Xtreme MA-01 model with a different processor or graphics card.

Is the MA-01 case actually glass?

Yes. CyberPowerPC describes the MA-01 as using curved panoramic tempered-glass panes. The Tom’s Hardware review initially questioned whether the viewing panel felt substantial, but a July 1, 2026 correction records CyberPowerPC’s clarification that the panel is tempered glass. It should not be described as a plastic window.

The visual design is the case’s main differentiator. Curved glass gives the interior a broad showcase view, while vented fan covers and indirect lighting conceal much of the hardware and create a cleaner appearance than an exposed fan layout. Tom’s Hardware praised the styling, tidy interior and analog lighting controls.

Physical lighting controls

The MA-01 uses three analog knobs rather than requiring software for its basic lighting functions. CyberPowerPC says the controls handle RGB color selection and secondary functions such as brightness and lighting mode. These are manufacturer feature descriptions; they are not an independent measurement of lighting quality or control latency.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The power button sits near the case-lighting controls. This placement is convenient once learned, but pay attention when reaching for the switch so you do not turn a lighting knob accidentally.

Materials and construction

The case-only listing identifies the Steel Gray MA-01 as an ATX mid-tower made from steel, tempered glass and steel mesh. CyberPowerPC’s January 2026 launch announcement claimed that the woven steel mesh reduces high-frequency resonance by about 30 percent. That figure is a manufacturer claim, not an independently verified noise test, and the desktop review did not establish a decibel level or a broad acoustic result.

What ports and wireless features does the desktop have?

Tom’s Hardware lists the reviewed desktop’s front I/O as one USB-C port, two USB-A ports and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The front panel is therefore suitable for frequently connected peripherals, a phone or portable drive, and a headset, but it does not provide the latest high-bandwidth external standards.

  • Front USB-C: one port is listed; the review does not identify it as USB4 or Thunderbolt 4.
  • Front USB-A: two ports are listed.
  • Audio: one 3.5 mm jack is listed.
  • Wireless networking: the review identifies Wi-Fi 6.
  • USB4/Thunderbolt 4: the review lists their absence as a drawback.

Rear motherboard and graphics-card ports can vary with the exact board and GPU installed. Inspect the specification sheet for the specific sales listing rather than assuming that every MA-01 system has identical rear connectivity.

Listed case-only price $149.99 on the listing observed October 13, 2026

CyberPowerPC showed an expected shipment date on or after October 23 on that listing. Finish and availability can change, so confirm both before placing an order. The listed $149.99 is for the case-only product and must not be confused with the tested desktop’s $2,309.99 price.

Compatibility checks before a case build

  1. Measure the graphics card, including any power-cable bend requirement, against the 420 mm maximum. A card that technically fits may still leave too little room for a safe cable bend.
  2. Check the CPU cooler’s total height against the 185 mm limit if using an air cooler.
  3. Confirm that the power supply is no longer than 200 mm and that its modular cables can route cleanly.
  4. Choose a motherboard in the listed ATX or Micro-ATX formats and verify that its front-panel headers match the case wiring.
  5. For liquid cooling, plan around one 360 mm or 240 mm radiator at the top or side and confirm clearance with the motherboard heatsinks and memory.
  6. Verify fan-header and ARGB-header availability. Six included ARGB fans may require splitters or a hub depending on the motherboard.

CyberPowerPC’s dimensions and compatibility figures are listing specifications. Check the current manual and the exact revision before buying components, especially if you are using an unusually long graphics card or thick radiator.

What are the main advantages and compromises?

Reasons to consider the reviewed desktop

  • Strong balanced specification: the RTX 5070, Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, 32GB DDR5-6400 and 2TB SSD form a capable all-round gaming configuration.
  • Included high-capacity cooling: a 360 mm liquid cooler is supplied with the tested system.
  • Distinctive presentation: curved tempered glass, concealed fan covers and indirect lighting make the MA-01 more visually deliberate than a plain office-style tower.
  • Hands-on RGB adjustment: three analog knobs provide software-free color and mode controls according to CyberPowerPC’s description.
  • Prebuilt convenience: the machine arrives assembled and configured, which was the source of the modest premium in Tom’s Hardware’s mock DIY comparison.

Reasons to pause

  • Connectivity is not cutting edge: Wi-Fi 6 is included, while USB4 and Thunderbolt 4 are absent according to the review.
  • Glass needs care: tempered glass is more substantial than plastic but still requires careful handling during transport and cleaning.
  • Configuration drift: another Gamer Xtreme MA-01 may use a different CPU, GPU, SSD, memory kit or cooler.
  • Price uncertainty: the $2,309.99 figure and comparison prices describe June 2026 review conditions, not October 2026 or later market pricing.
  • Limited published testing: the available gaming evidence is one informal Crysis Remastered observation; there is no supplied reliability dataset, noise measurement or broad game-average table.

Which MA-01 buyer profile makes sense?

Choose the reviewed prebuilt when

You want a ready-to-play desktop with a high-end mainstream GPU, substantial memory and storage, a showcase case, and the convenience of assembly and warranty support. The Tom’s Hardware value judgment is most relevant when the current listing remains close to the reviewed parts and price.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Choose a different configuration when

Your workload is dominated by a specialized requirement such as more than 32GB of memory, a larger SSD pool, a particular professional GPU feature or a newer wireless standard. Compare the complete specification rather than paying for the MA-01 appearance alone.

Buy the case only when

You already plan a custom build and specifically want the curved tempered-glass presentation, six ARGB fans and analog-style aesthetic. Budget separately for every internal component and confirm clearances before purchasing.

Buying and setup checklist

  1. Match the model number: verify that the listing actually says GXi3800BSTV2 if you are comparing it with the Tom’s Hardware review.
  2. Read every component line: confirm the processor, RTX 5070 model, 32GB memory, 2TB SSD, 360 mm cooler and Windows 11 Home rather than relying on a product-family name.
  3. Check the current price and stock: historical review prices are useful context, not a purchasing quote.
  4. Inspect the exterior on arrival: look for glass damage, loose panels or shipping movement before powering on.
  5. Update Windows and drivers: install current motherboard, network and graphics drivers, then verify that the system reports the expected memory capacity and storage.
  6. Test the controls: confirm the power button, analog RGB knobs, front USB ports and audio jack before arranging cable management.
  7. Record the original configuration: save the invoice and component list so future upgrades do not accidentally exceed the case, power-supply or cooling limits.

Bottom line on the Gamer Xtreme MA-01

The CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme GXi3800BSTV2 combines RTX 5070 performance with a strong Core Ultra 7 platform, ample mainstream memory and storage, and an unusually styled tempered-glass chassis. Tom’s Hardware’s 4K Crysis Remastered observation and its mock-DIY pricing support the view that the tested machine was both fast and reasonably priced for a ready-built system. The decision today depends on whether the exact listing still offers that hardware at a competitive price and whether Wi-Fi 6 and the lack of USB4 or Thunderbolt 4 fit your connectivity needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does every CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme MA-01 have the same parts?

No. MA-01 identifies the chassis family, not one fixed desktop specification. The reviewed GXi3800BSTV2 used a Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, RTX 5070, 32GB DDR5-6400, 2TB SSD and 360 mm liquid cooling; other listings can differ.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Is the MA-01 side panel tempered glass?

Yes. CyberPowerPC clarified to Tom’s Hardware that the viewing panel is tempered glass; the review was corrected on July 1, 2026.

Can I buy the MA-01 without a computer?

Yes. CyberPowerPC lists a case-only MA-01 with six ARGB fans and ATX/Micro-ATX support. The listed case price was $149.99 on October 13, 2026, separate from any desktop components.

What 4K frame rate should I expect from the RTX 5070 model?

Tom’s Hardware observed 75–85 FPS outdoors in Crysis Remastered at 3840 × 2160 with maximum “Can it run Crysis?” settings, with slight dips in jungle and shadow-heavy scenes. That is an informal single-game observation, not a universal frame-rate guarantee.
