Cup Of Tales is an upcoming choice-driven café visual novel set in London in 2036. You help Mia run Comfy Corner Café, prepare drinks through timed ingredient-and-equipment actions, build relationships with customers and gradually connect their stories to a conspiracy involving CypherCorp. The game has a confirmed 10-chapter structure, but its developers have not published an exact ending count or detailed rules for manual saves, autosaves or reloading dialogue choices.
What kind of game is Cup Of Tales?
Cup Of Tales combines a visual-novel format with an active café-management layer. You play a newcomer who starts helping Mia at Comfy Corner Café, a human-focused neighborhood business operating alongside automated Cypher Coffee bars. Customers arrive with personal problems, memories and requests. Conversations establish who they are; coffee preparation gives you a practical way to help them; and the connections between customers gradually expose a larger conflict with CypherCorp, the dominant technology company in this future London.

Talk to customers and choose responses
Steam describes the dialogue as choice-based. During customer conversations, you select responses rather than simply advancing through fixed text. Eastasiasoft says those choices are intended to help you build meaningful relationships and bring unlikely friends together.

The confirmed consequence is social and narrative: choices affect relationships and the way customer stories connect. The published materials do not provide a visible morality meter, a complete decision tree or numerical relationship thresholds. Treat each option as a chance to express how you want the café and its community to develop, not as a known “correct” answer that guarantees a particular ending.
Prepare drinks as an active activity
Coffee making is a playable system, not merely background animation. You select ingredients, operate café equipment and time actions to brew drinks. The exact recipes, timing windows, customer order lists and penalties have not been documented in the official information currently available, so a full recipe chart cannot be responsibly produced before the released build is verified.
The practical implication is that a conversation may be followed by a hands-on task. Pay attention to what a customer asks for, learn which ingredients and tools become available, and expect timing to matter when you brew. The game’s design links hospitality to storytelling: serving someone is part of getting to know them, rather than a detached resource-management minigame.
Upgrade the kitchen
Kitchen upgrades expand the café’s capabilities. Official descriptions specifically say upgrades unlock new ingredients, recipes and equipment. That gives progression a direct gameplay purpose: a larger toolkit lets you make more drinks and supports later customer interactions.

No public list currently identifies every upgrade, its cost, its order or the precise recipe each one unlocks. When playing, record newly available ingredients and equipment as you acquire them. If a later request seems impossible, first check whether the required tool or recipe is gated behind a kitchen improvement rather than assuming you chose the wrong dialogue response.
Follow the 10-chapter story
Eastasiasoft describes a 10-chapter narrative. Across those chapters, character stories intertwine, clues accumulate and the CypherCorp mystery is gradually revealed. The chapter count is a confirmed structural fact; chapter titles, lengths and a complete sequence of branch points have not been published.
Because the conspiracy is assembled from separate customer stories, an early conversation can matter later even when it does not mention CypherCorp directly. Keep track of names, personal details and apparent links between customers. The café’s community is the connective tissue of the plot.

Do choices change the ending?
Choices are confirmed to change relationship outcomes and the way customer stories connect. Since those connections lead into the conspiracy plot, your decisions can affect what the community looks like and how much of the mystery is revealed to your character. However, the official Cup Of Tales materials do not publish an exact route map, branch thresholds or a statement that every choice locks a unique final scene.

The safest interpretation is that the game has variable narrative outcomes rather than a publicly documented set of “good” and “bad” answers. Different playthroughs may emphasize different friendships, customer arcs or portions of the CypherCorp investigation. Until the developers document the branches in a manual or the released game can be examined, no guide can accurately label one response as the universally best choice.
What can be said about the possible outcomes

How many endings does Cup Of Tales have?
An exact Cup Of Tales ending count has not been published in the official game page, Steam listing or Eastasiasoft’s press material. You should therefore not rely on claims that the game has a fixed number such as seven endings.
That “seven endings” figure appears in a secondary article discussing a separately described horror game, YAMIGATARI: FOR3ST. It is not evidence about Cup Of Tales and should not be used as an ending guide for the café adventure. The accurate answer at present is: the number of Cup Of Tales endings is unconfirmed.
Once the game is released, an ending guide would need to distinguish at least three variables: relationship outcomes, the degree of conspiracy disclosure and the community links created during the 10 chapters. A simple count of final screens could miss meaningful variations within those categories, so wait for developer documentation or a verified release playthrough before treating an online number as authoritative.

How to make choices without a “best answer” guide
There is no published scoring system that lets you calculate the optimal response. You can still make informed decisions by using the information the game does establish.
- Read the customer’s immediate concern. Select a response that reflects whether you want to reassure, challenge, question or support that person. The game’s stated emphasis is meaningful relationships, not a universal morality score.
- Track who knows whom. Note introductions, disagreements and promises. Since stories intertwine, a choice that strengthens one connection may change how another customer’s story reaches you.
- Watch for clues that recur. Names, companies, devices and unusual requests may become relevant to the CypherCorp mystery later. Recording them helps you recognize connections without assuming every detail is a branch trigger.
- Use coffee service as context. Ingredient and equipment choices are part of helping customers. If a request cannot be completed, check your available recipes and kitchen upgrades before treating it as a narrative failure.
- Keep your first run honest. Because the developers have not published route thresholds or a best ending, choosing the response that fits your intended café community gives you a meaningful baseline for any later replay.
What save options are confirmed?
Steam lists Steam Cloud as a feature for Cup Of Tales. That indicates cloud synchronization support on Steam, allowing supported save data to synchronize through the Steam service. It does not, by itself, explain when the game writes a save, how many local slots exist or whether a cloud conflict can be resolved inside the game.
The official game page and press release do not document manual-save slots, autosave timing, chapter replay, checkpoint placement or the ability to reload immediately before a dialogue branch. There is no official confirmation that you can create a manual save immediately before a conversation choice. Steam Cloud support should not be read as proof of a save-anywhere system. If pre-choice saving is important to you, wait for a documented manual-save menu or test the release build rather than assuming that closing and reopening the game will restore the previous line.

Does Cup Of Tales have autosave?
The available official descriptions do not state whether autosave exists, how frequently it runs or whether it occurs at chapter transitions, after coffee preparation or only when leaving a scene. Until those rules are published, do not plan a route around an assumed autosave point.
What does Steam Cloud protect?
Steam Cloud is a synchronization feature, not a replacement for a documented backup strategy. These statements describe announced windows, not a guaranteed launch date. The difference between “holiday season 2026” for Steam and “Early 2027” on the game page should be treated as a schedule that may change. Check the current Steam listing and the publisher’s page for the latest date when the game is formally announced.
