Godlike.Host offers modded Minecraft server hosting with one-click modpacks, a built-in mod installer and up to three free backups a day.
To host Create Ultimate Selection 2 – Create Aeronautics, install the official server pack for the same release your players use, run it on Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge, and keep the client, server, loader, and modpack release synchronized. CurseForge’s files index lists release 12.6.0, uploaded October 12, 2026, with a matching server-pack file.
The pack combines Create automation with airships, flying machines, aerial transport, factories, technology, exploration, and quest progression. The procedures below focus on a reliable multiplayer deployment rather than an unverified performance promise.

What Create Ultimate Selection 2 – Create Aeronautics is
Create Ultimate Selection 2 – Create Aeronautics is a curated Minecraft modpack published by TheWizard on CurseForge. Its foundation is the Create engineering system: players build machines, factories, processing lines, and transport networks instead of relying only on conventional crafting. Addons extend those systems into more specialized automation and technology.
The Aeronautics focus adds an aviation layer to that engineering loop. The project description highlights massive airships, flying machines, advanced transport systems, and functional aerial factories. Quests are intended to guide players from basic Create mechanics through automation, addons, and more advanced technology. That progression makes the pack suitable for a shared survival world in which different players can specialize in construction, logistics, exploration, and research.
#1 Best Overall
- Play and share with friends on console, mobile and Windows 10
- discover community creations in the new in-game store
- access new mini games and game modes through servers
The project is presented as suitable for solo play or playing with friends. A dedicated server is therefore useful when several people need a persistent world, but it also exposes the usual heavily modded-server risks: a client that does not match the server can fail to connect, and moving contraptions or large automated systems can create demanding simulation workloads.
Compatibility at a glance
| Item | What to use | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Minecraft | 1.21.1 | The official project page targets this version. |
| Mod loader | NeoForge | Use the loader family specified by the pack rather than substituting Forge or Fabric. |
| Current CurseForge release | 12.6.0 | The CurseForge files index shows this release uploaded October 12, 2026. |
| Server files | Matching server-pack entry | CurseForge lists a server artifact alongside the client release. |
| Client requirement | Every player installs the same pack release and loader | Do not mix release families unless the pack’s file notes explicitly permit it. |
Modrinth also carries a versioned listing and directs readers to the publisher’s CurseForge profile for the server pack. Treat CurseForge as the primary distribution path for the files used by the server.
Before you install
Prepare the deployment as a matched set. This avoids the most common failure, where the server is technically running but players have a different loader, mod list, or configuration.
- Choose one release family. If you are starting now, the current CurseForge index entry is 12.6.0, dated October 12, 2026.
- Download the official server pack for that release, not an arbitrary collection of individual mods.
- Install the client pack for the same release on every player computer.
- Use the NeoForge environment required by the 1.21.1 pack.
- Create a separate server directory so world data, configuration, logs, and backups are easy to identify.
- Decide where backups will be stored before anyone begins building.
- Reserve enough CPU, memory, and storage for a large modded workload. No independent benchmark or universal RAM figure is established for this pack, so size the machine from observation rather than a copied number.
- Plan a test world or staging copy before importing an established survival world.
Install the official server pack
1. Download matching files
Open the pack’s CurseForge project and select the release you intend to run. Download the server-pack artifact shown with that release and record its version. Players should install the corresponding client file. If the server pack and client are from different release families, stop and correct that before proceeding.
2. Create and unpack the server directory
Create a new, empty directory dedicated to this instance. Extract the server-pack archive into it without nesting the files several levels deep. Keep the original archive outside the live directory so it can be used to rebuild the instance if a file is accidentally changed.

3. Install NeoForge for the pack’s Minecraft version
Install the NeoForge server environment required by the pack’s 1.21.1 files. NeoForge installer filenames are versioned, so use the exact installer supplied or referenced by the selected pack release. A typical installer invocation is java -jar neoforge-installer.jar --installServer; replace the filename with the actual downloaded installer name. Follow the installer’s generated launch instructions rather than substituting a generic vanilla server command.
4. Complete the first launch
Start the server once from its own directory using the generated NeoForge launch script or command. The first run normally creates configuration files and an end-user-license file. Stop the process cleanly, open the license file, and change the acceptance value to eula=true only after reading the license. Start the server again and wait for the console to report that the world is ready.
5. Configure the instance before inviting players
Review server.properties for the world name, difficulty, game mode, player limit, view distance, simulation distance, and network port appropriate to your group. Keep the default world-generation settings unless you have a deliberate seed or terrain plan. Do not copy configuration files from another modpack; mod identifiers and settings are pack-specific.
6. Test with one client
Launch one client using the identical pack release and loader. Connect over the local network first if possible. Confirm that the player can join, move, open inventories, accept quests, and interact with a simple Create component. Then test from the public address or hosting panel that friends will use. Save the world and perform a test backup before beginning the permanent settlement.
Keep every client and the server synchronized
Version pinning is more important here than simply matching the Minecraft number. A successful connection requires the same release family, mod loader, and compatible mod/configuration set. Use a short written record containing the Minecraft version, NeoForge version, pack release, server address, and date of the last update.

| Symptom | Likely mismatch | Corrective action |
|---|---|---|
| Connection is rejected before the world loads | Different pack release or loader | Compare the client profile with the server’s selected release and NeoForge installation. |
| “Missing mods” or “incompatible mods” message | Client has an incomplete, extra, or different mod set | Reinstall the matching client pack instead of adding random jar files. |
| Server starts but a feature behaves differently for one player | Client configuration or mod file differs | Replace the client installation with a clean copy of the pinned release. |
| World loads after an update but machines or recipes are wrong | World and pack were advanced without a rollback point | Stop, restore the pre-update backup, and test the new release on a copy. |
Do not let individual players update through a launcher while the server remains on the previous release. Announce a maintenance window, stop the server, back up the world, update the server and clients as one change, and keep the previous files available for rollback.
World planning for Create and Aeronautics
Choose a starting area deliberately
Leave room for a central base, rail or belt corridors, processing buildings, and takeoff and landing space. Aeronautics builds can occupy considerable horizontal and vertical space, so an attractive spawn area with no expansion room can become a practical limitation later.
Separate permanent infrastructure from experiments
Use a test district or a disposable copy of the world for unfamiliar contraptions. This lets players validate rotation, chunk boundaries, item routing, and power or processing chains before connecting them to a production line. Keep experimental machines away from the main storage and transport spine until they have been observed under normal multiplayer load.
Plan chunk and player activity
Create contraptions and automated factories only simulate while the relevant areas are active according to the pack’s and server’s loading behavior. Avoid designing a critical chain that depends on many distant areas remaining active at once. When diagnosing lag, ask players to gather in one region and temporarily stop nonessential machines; the change in responsiveness helps distinguish a machine workload from a connection problem.

Performance and resource planning
The pack’s combination of Create contraptions, technology, exploration content, quests, and aerial machinery makes resource planning important, but the available material does not establish a universal CPU, memory, tick-rate, or player-count requirement. A provider-reported hosting reference mentions a large server-pack mod count; that illustrates the pack’s complexity but is not an independent benchmark.
Measure the actual instance after a representative build has been created. Watch server tick time, CPU saturation, memory pressure, garbage-collection pauses, disk usage, and network latency during normal play. Record results with the number of connected players and the machines active, because an empty test world does not represent a mature factory.

Safe update and rollback procedure
- Announce a maintenance window and prevent players from joining.
- Stop the server cleanly so pending world saves finish.
- Copy the complete world directory, configuration, and server-specific settings to a dated backup location.
- Record the current pack release and NeoForge version.
- Install the new server-pack release in a separate staging directory rather than overwriting the known-good instance.
- Start the staging server with a copy of the world and inspect the console for missing or removed content.
- Join with a client updated to the same release and test quests, inventories, recipes, Create machines, and Aeronautics builds.
- If the test succeeds, schedule the production change and update every client before reopening access.
- Keep the old server directory and backup until the group has played successfully for several sessions.
If the updated world fails to start, shows missing registry entries, or damages a machine, stop testing on the production copy and restore the dated backup. Do not repeatedly launch a broken world while changing unrelated files; that makes it harder to identify which change caused the failure.

Troubleshooting guide
The server closes during startup
Read the first meaningful error in the log rather than the final shutdown line. Confirm that the NeoForge installation belongs to the selected Minecraft version, that the server-pack files were extracted completely, and that no client-only files were copied into the server directory. Rebuild a clean directory from the official server pack if the file set is uncertain.
Players cannot connect, but the server is running
First test locally or from the host panel. If local access works, verify the public address, port forwarding or host allocation, firewall rules, and whether the service is listening on the expected interface. If the connection reaches the server but is rejected, compare the player’s release and loader with the pinned server record.
One player sees missing textures or crashes while others do not
Have that player remove the local installation and reinstall the exact client release. Avoid copying another player’s random mods or configuration files, because a seemingly harmless addition can change registries and make future diagnosis harder.
The world becomes slow after a factory expands
Identify what changed: new contraptions, additional loaded areas, exploration, or a scheduled backup. Stop nonessential machines one group at a time and observe whether tick time improves. Move experimental builds to a test area, reduce unnecessary distances, and spread large automation systems across a planned layout. If the issue remains, capture logs and measurements before changing several settings at once.
An update breaks recipes or machines
Stop the server and restore the pre-update world and files. Confirm the release notes and compatibility of the selected pack version before trying again in staging. A world backup is the recovery mechanism; deleting configuration files without a known-good copy is not.
