Running a modpack with friends? Godlike.Host offers modded Minecraft server hosting with one-click modpacks (CurseForge, FTB, Technic) and free DDoS protection.
To host a Create Live 6 server, use the pack’s Minecraft 1.21.1 NeoForge server release, keep every client on the identical pack version, and begin with 6–8 GB of RAM for a small group. For 10 or more players, plan around 10–12 GB, then adjust after observing memory use and tick performance. You can deploy through managed Minecraft hosting for the shortest setup, or install and administer the server yourself for maximum control.
Create Live 6 has no universal CPU model, Java version, port, storage minimum, backup policy, or benchmark established by the available documentation. Those details depend on the host and installation method, so confirm them before purchase or configure and test them on your own machine.

Create Live 6 is a Minecraft modpack authored by Blizzor. The hosting listing identifies it as a NeoForge pack for Minecraft 1.21.1, created on June 5, 2025 and updated on June 29, 2025. CurseForge lists a separate Create Live 6 Server v1.3.0 release for Minecraft 1.21.1 NeoForge, dated June 29, 2025.
The pack is built around Create and also uses Ars Nouveau as a secondary core mod. That combination can produce more active machines, entities, chunk activity, and automation than an unmodified Minecraft world. Memory is therefore only one part of the requirement: CPU speed, the number of loaded chunks, world size, entity counts, and any additional mods or plugins affect how smoothly the server runs.

Choose managed hosting or self-hosting
There are two practical ways to make the world available to your group. Managed hosting places the operating system, Java process, storage, and network service under a provider’s control. Self-hosting means you install the files on a computer you control and remain responsible for updates, security, backups, and connectivity.
Managed hosting
The researched Create Live 6 hosting listing advertises one-click installation from its control panel, settings optimized for NeoForge 1.21.1, dedicated CPU and RAM, NVMe SSD storage, and DDoS protection. This is the lower-administration option: you select a plan, deploy the pack, and use the panel to start or stop the server and manage its files.
“One-click” does not mean every operational detail is guaranteed. Before paying, confirm the plan’s actual RAM allocation, CPU policy, storage quota, Java runtime, backup schedule, retention period, data-center region, player-slot or traffic limits, and the exact Create Live 6 version it installs. Also ask whether DDoS protection and backups apply to your selected plan or are optional services.

Self-hosting
Self-hosting gives you direct control over the machine, files, operating system, firewall, update timing, and backup destination. It can be appropriate when you already have a suitable always-on computer, a reliable connection, and the time to administer a Java server.
The trade-off is ongoing work. You must obtain the correct server files, accept any required license prompts, keep NeoForge and the modpack synchronized, monitor resource use, protect the host account, and make recoverable backups. If the host computer sleeps, loses power, changes network address, or runs out of disk space, the game becomes unavailable until you intervene.

That distinction explains the administrative burden of a stand-alone service, but Steam’s generic material does not provide a Create Live 6 installation command. Create Live 6 is distributed through the Minecraft/CurseForge ecosystem, not through a Steam-specific server recipe.
Managed hosting versus self-hosting
| Decision factor | Managed hosting | Self-hosting |
|---|---|---|
| Initial setup | One-click deployment is advertised for Create Live 6; verify the installed version and plan limits. | Install and configure the server files yourself using the included pack instructions. |
| Monthly cost | Recurring plan price varies by provider and allocation; not stated in the cited material. | No hosting-plan price is required, but you absorb hardware, electricity, network, and administration costs; exact totals depend on your equipment. |
| Control | Control is limited by the provider’s panel, policies, and plan. | Full control of files, operating system, update timing, and compatible additions. |
| Updates | The provider may offer panel-based updates or automatic options; confirm whether updates are automatic and reversible. | You schedule, test, and perform every pack, loader, mod, and operating-system update. |
| Backups | Coverage, frequency, retention, and restore process must be confirmed with the provider. | You design and test the backup and restore process. |
| DDoS and network protection | DDoS protection is advertised, but coverage and limits require confirmation. | You are responsible for firewall rules, exposure, and any upstream mitigation. |
| Location | Select from the provider’s available regions; exact locations vary. | The server is located wherever your machine and internet connection are located. |
| Extra NeoForge mods | Possible when the provider permits file access and the mods support Minecraft 1.21.1; compatibility remains your responsibility. | Possible with direct file and configuration access, subject to the same compatibility checks. |
RAM, CPU, storage, and software requirements
RAM starting points
DedicatedMinecraft.host’s documentation recommends at least 6–8 GB of RAM for a small group and 10–12 GB for 10 or more players. It also warns that additional mods or plugins increase requirements. Treat these numbers as starting guidance, not a measured guarantee for every world or hardware configuration.

| Player group | Starting allocation | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| Small group | 6–8 GB | Begin here, then watch memory use and tick performance as players explore and build. |
| 10 or more players | 10–12 GB | Use the higher range as an initial target; automation, exploration, and extra content may require more. |
Do not allocate every gigabyte on a shared computer to Minecraft. The operating system, file cache, monitoring tools, and backups need memory too. On a managed plan, check whether the advertised number is dedicated to your instance or shared as a burstable limit. On a self-hosted machine, leave headroom rather than configuring the Java process to consume all physical RAM.
CPU and tick performance
The cited Create Live 6 information does not specify a guaranteed CPU model or publish a benchmark. A server can have free RAM and still lag when one or more game ticks take too long. Create machinery, large farms, active villagers, chunk generation, and many loaded entities can all increase tick time.
Evaluate performance while players perform normal activities: enter new chunks, operate factories, move items, and use Ars Nouveau systems. Look for delayed block updates, rubber-banding, or a steadily worsening tick rate. If the host offers CPU sharing, ask whether the plan guarantees dedicated cores or only a nominal vCPU count.
Java, storage, and networking
No universal Java version, minimum storage size, default port, or bandwidth requirement is stated in the cited material. Use the Java runtime required by the server package and your hosting panel, rather than assuming a version from another Minecraft release. Confirm the runtime with the provider or the pack’s included instructions.

NVMe SSD storage is advertised by the managed listing, but the required capacity depends on the world, backups, logs, and any additional mod files. Allocate room for at least the live world plus more than one backup copy. For self-hosting, place the world on reliable local storage and monitor free space.
Step-by-step: deploy with managed hosting
- Verify the target release. In the provider’s game selector, confirm that the entry is Create Live 6 for Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge. Check whether it installs the current server release or lets you choose a specific version.
- Select resources for your group. Start at 6–8 GB for a small group. Choose 10–12 GB when you expect 10 or more simultaneous players, and leave room to scale if the panel reports memory pressure or tick delays.
- Choose a nearby region. Pick the provider location that minimizes latency for most players. The best region depends on where your group is located; do not assume a particular data center is fastest without testing.
- Review infrastructure terms. Before completing the order, identify the plan’s CPU allocation, storage limit, Java runtime, backup behavior, restore fees, DDoS coverage, and cancellation or migration policy.
- Run the one-click installer. Use the panel’s Create Live 6 or NeoForge installation action. Let the installation finish before changing files or starting the server.
- Accept required agreements and start once. Follow the panel or server package prompts. The first start may create configuration files and a new world; stop the process cleanly before editing settings.
- Configure the world and access controls. Set the world options exposed by the panel or server files, add trusted operators, and enable a whitelist if the server is for a private group. Do not publish credentials or grant operator access casually.
- Make a backup before inviting players. Use the provider’s backup tool if included, and verify that you can see a completed backup and understand the restore procedure. If backups are not included, arrange an independent copy.
- Connect one test player. Install the exact same Create Live 6 release, Minecraft 1.21.1 version, and NeoForge loader on a client. Test login, block interaction, chunk travel, and a representative machine before sharing access details.
- Record the working configuration. Note the pack version, loader version, Java runtime, memory allocation, region, and any added mods. This record makes troubleshooting or migration much faster.
Step-by-step: self-host the server
- Prepare an always-on machine. Use a system that can remain powered, has enough memory for both the operating system and the server, and has reliable storage. Disable sleep for the host account while the server is expected to run.
- Install the required Java runtime. Use the version specified by the Create Live 6 server package or its included instructions. Because the cited sources do not state a universal Java version, do not copy a version requirement from an unrelated pack.
- Download the current server files. Obtain Create Live 6 from its current CurseForge listing and use the separate server release where provided. Keep the downloaded files in a dedicated server directory.
- Read the included server instructions before launching. Follow the package’s documented setup, license acceptance, and launch process. File names and launch scripts can change between releases, so avoid assuming a universal script or command.
- Start the server once and stop it cleanly. The first run generally creates the world and configuration structure required by the pack. Use the package’s documented stop method so the world saves correctly.
- Configure the server. Set the world options, operator permissions, whitelist, and any other settings exposed by the generated configuration. Keep a written copy of intentional changes.
- Secure the host. Use a separate administrative account, strong unique credentials, operating-system updates, a firewall, and least-privilege file permissions. Expose only the service you intend players to reach.
- Arrange backups outside the live world directory. Stop the server or use a documented safe-save procedure before copying files. Keep multiple restore points on storage that would survive failure of the host machine.
- Test locally, then test remotely. Connect from the host or local network first. Have a player outside that network test the connection only after firewall and router rules are configured. The required port is not fixed by the cited sources, so use the port shown in your generated configuration rather than inventing a default.
- Document the recovery path. Record where the server files, backups, Java runtime, and configuration are located, and write down the exact steps to restore a known-good world.
Keep clients and server synchronized
Every player should install the same Create Live 6 release, Minecraft 1.21.1, and NeoForge loader used by the server. A mismatch can appear as a missing-mod error, a rejected handshake, a crash during loading, or a world that behaves differently after connection.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
When adding an extra NeoForge mod, check all of the following before copying it to the server:
- It explicitly supports Minecraft 1.21.1.
- It supports NeoForge rather than a different loader.
- Its required dependency versions do not conflict with Create Live 6.
- It is installed on both server and client when the mod requires both sides.
- You have a fresh backup and a rollback plan.
Add one change at a time and test a copy of the world first. A mod that loads successfully can still introduce tick delays, generation problems, or recipe conflicts after players use it.

Configure permissions, whitelist, and backups
Permissions
Grant operator-level access only to people who need administrative commands. Use a whitelist for a private friends’ server so an exposed address does not automatically become an open public world. Keep the operator list and whitelist documented so you can rebuild them after a migration.
Backups
A backup is useful only if it can be restored. Keep more than one generation, store copies separately from the live world, and periodically perform a test restore to a non-public instance. Confirm whether managed hosting backups include the world, configuration, player data, and added mods, or only selected files.
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
Security
Protect the hosting-panel account and the operating-system account with unique credentials and multi-factor authentication where available. Apply security updates, restrict administrative access, and avoid downloading unverified server files. If the server is internet-facing, understand what DDoS protection the provider actually supplies and what traffic or response limits apply.
Troubleshoot common connection and performance problems
Players cannot join
- Confirm the client and server both use Create Live 6, Minecraft 1.21.1, and NeoForge.
- Check that the server process is running and has completed startup rather than stopped on an error.
- Verify the address and configured port shown by the host or server configuration.
- On self-hosting, review the operating-system firewall and router rules without opening unrelated services.
- Check the whitelist and remove stale or misspelled player entries.
The server starts but lags
- Watch memory usage while players explore and operate machinery.
- Check CPU load and tick timing; more RAM alone cannot fix a CPU bottleneck.
- Reduce simultaneous chunk loading and investigate unusually large farms or entity concentrations.
- Remove recently added mods one at a time from a backed-up test copy.
- Move from the 6–8 GB starting range toward 10–12 GB when player count and workload justify it, while retaining memory for the host operating system.
The server crashes after an update
- Restore the last known-good backup rather than repeatedly launching the damaged world.
- Compare the server and client mod lists and versions.
- Read the startup log for a named dependency or loader mismatch.
- Reapply updates one component at a time on a test copy before returning to the live world.
How to decide between the two approaches
Choose managed hosting when your priority is a persistent world with minimal operating-system administration, a panel-based deployment, and provider infrastructure such as advertised dedicated resources, NVMe storage, and DDoS protection. It is also the simpler choice when no one in the group wants to maintain a server machine.
Choose self-hosting when you already have suitable hardware, need direct control over files and update timing, or are comfortable handling firewall rules, backups, Java, and recovery. Self-hosting is not automatically faster or cheaper: the available documentation provides no performance benchmark or complete cost model for either approach.
Whichever route you choose, start with the documented RAM range, test the actual workload of your group, and keep a verified backup before changing the pack or adding mods.
