The CORSAIR SKIFF 100 PLUS pairs quiet rubber-dome membrane keys with gaming-focused controls: six programmable macro keys, a rotary volume dial, 10-zone RGB lighting and a detachable wrist rest. It is a full-size, wired keyboard—not a mechanical board—and its quieter feel comes with trade-offs in key feel, wireless flexibility and simultaneous-key input.
What kind of keyboard is the Skiff 100 PLUS?
Corsair lists the switches as “Rubber Dome” and describes the keys as membrane. In practical terms, this is a rubber-dome membrane keyboard, not a mechanical-switch model. Corsair markets the keys as quiet and responsive; its product page says, “Membrane keys won’t annoy your roommates.” That is a marketing claim, not an acoustic measurement. Corsair’s product specifications provide the manufacturer’s description.
Independent review findings add nuance to the word “responsive.” RTINGS describes typing as very quiet and suitable for shared offices, but says the rubber domes feel less crisp than mechanical switches during rapid repeated presses. The quietness may be appealing if loud key presses are a concern; it does not make the keys feel like a tactile mechanical switch. RTINGS’ review discusses both typing and gaming performance.

Macro keys and volume dial
The North American model has six programmable G-keys and a dedicated Windows lock hotkey. The rotary dial controls volume and mutes when pressed. Corsair says Fn-key combinations handle previous track, next track and play/pause; the dial itself cannot be freely reassigned. Settings can be stored in one onboard profile. Corsair’s product page describes the controls and profile.

Layout, lighting and rollover
The North American specification lists a 104-key layout and 10-zone RGB lighting. Its 12-key rollover is selective: it is not true N-key rollover, in which all keys can be registered simultaneously. RTINGS likewise notes that the keyboard lacks true N-key rollover. Corsair lists a 1000 Hz report rate; that figure describes how often the keyboard reports input, not end-to-end latency. Corsair’s specifications list the report rate and rollover, while RTINGS discusses rollover and measured performance.
Wired connection and platform support
The keyboard uses a fixed USB 2.0 Type-A cable. It has no Bluetooth or multi-device pairing, according to RTINGS. Corsair’s product FAQ lists PC, Mac, Xbox One and Series X|S, PS4, and PS5 compatibility, while warning that some system functions may not work on every platform. The product specification gives a two-year warranty. Check Corsair’s current terms for the warranty that applies in your region.

IP53 protection is limited
Corsair describes the keyboard’s IP53 protection as resistance to dust and light water spray or splashes. It is not waterproof: Corsair warns against submersion, rinsing and heavy water exposure. Treat the rating as limited protection, not permission to wash the keyboard or use it where substantial liquid spills are likely. Corsair’s product page states the protection limits.

How does it perform in reviews?
RTINGS reports very good single-key and multi-key latency for casual and mid-level play, while also noting the less crisp feel of repeated presses and the lack of true N-key rollover. Those findings suggest the Skiff can serve everyday gaming without being the best fit for players who rely on rapid repeated inputs or need many simultaneous keys registered. Reviewer results describe the tested keyboard and methods; individual preference and use can differ. RTINGS’ review explains its assessments.

In a separate review, Igor’sLAB measured an average end-to-end latency of 14.6 ms, with a range of 9.3–20.1 ms, in its 2026 test. These are Igor’sLAB measurements, not Corsair’s specifications or a guarantee for every unit and setup. The review tested a German ISO-DE 104-key version; its observations should not automatically be applied to every regional layout. Igor’sLAB also characterized that version’s case and wrist rest as basic and noted limited scope for switch and keycap customization. Igor’sLAB’s September 4, 2026 review gives its test details.
Who is the Skiff 100 PLUS for?
It is worth considering if you want a full-size wired keyboard with quiet membrane keys, dedicated macros, convenient volume control and basic spill protection. The included detachable wrist rest adds a comfort option without requiring a separate purchase.

| Option | What changes compared with the Skiff 100 PLUS | Best fit when |
|---|---|---|
| SteelSeries Apex 3 | RTINGS identifies it as another full-size rubber-dome choice; the supplied comparison does not establish a direct specification or performance advantage over the Skiff. | You are considering another full-size rubber-dome keyboard and want to compare specific features and feel. |
| Corsair K70 CORE | A mechanical alternative with full N-key rollover, rather than the Skiff’s rubber-dome keys and selective 12-key rollover. | You prioritize mechanical switches or simultaneous key registration. |
| Keychron J2 | A compact wireless, hot-swappable option rather than a full-size wired board. | You value wireless flexibility, a smaller layout or switch customization. |
These models address different priorities, so the labels alone do not establish which is better. Compare layout, connection, switch feel, rollover, macro controls, protection and lighting against how you will use the keyboard. RTINGS names these alternatives in its comparison coverage: RTINGS’ Skiff 100 PLUS review.

What do the price and latency figures mean?
Igor’sLAB listed €69.99 as the price in its 2026 review context. It is a test-time price, not a current retail-price claim; check the retailer for today’s price and availability. The 14.6 ms latency result is likewise a measurement from that review’s test, not a spec guaranteed by Corsair. Igor’sLAB’s review reports both figures.
