The Corsair HS35 v3 Wireless is a lightweight, entry-level gaming headset with 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth and wired connectivity. Corsair lists up to 30 hours of battery life at 50% volume and compatibility with PC, Mac, PlayStation, mobile and Switch. Reviews praise its comfort and microphone, while describing its controls and customization as basic. It is a better fit for someone who values connection flexibility and straightforward use than for a buyer seeking extensive software features.
What the HS35 v3 Wireless includes
Corsair’s US Carbon listing describes a tri-mode headset: use the included USB wireless transmitter for 2.4GHz, pair over Bluetooth, or connect by wire. The package includes the headset, USB wireless transmitter and a 1.8m USB charging cable. The wireless model is distinct from the wired HS35 v3, which Corsair describes as using a universal 3.5mm connection. Corsair’s US product listing identifies the Carbon version as SKU CA-9011401-WW; Corsair’s UK listing identifies a White wireless version as CA-9011402-WW.

Corsair lists PC, Mac, PlayStation, mobile and Switch compatibility. The reviewed product pages do not establish Xbox support, so do not assume the headset works with every console. GamesRadar+ also lists PS5, Switch 2 and mobile, but that publication-specific list does not establish compatibility with every device in those categories.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Corsair says Dolby Atmos is available on PC only and requires the Dolby Access app. GamesRadar+ notes that Dolby Atmos customization relies on the Windows app, so this feature is most relevant to PC users; it should not be treated as a console-wide feature.
How it performs in published reviews
Comfort and build
TechRadar reviewer Kara Phillips reported using the headset for six weeks across PC and PlayStation gaming, Discord and Google Meet. TechRadar praised its comfort and light weight. PC Gamer likewise characterized it as a light, comfortable basic headset. Meristation highlighted the floating headband and fabric pads as contributors to comfort, while noting that the materials feel less premium than those of more expensive models. These are the publications’ observations, not firsthand findings from this article.

Sound and microphone
TechRadar praised the sound and microphone clarity in its review. Meristation describes the microphone as detachable and omnidirectional; PC Gamer also lists an omnidirectional microphone. These reviews support considering it for gaming chat and calls, but they do not establish a measured microphone or audio-performance result across all devices and environments.
Controls and customization
The trade-off is simplicity. TechRadar criticized the limited customization and step-style volume control compared with a wheel. PC Gamer also emphasized the lack of richer controls and features, and TechRadar’s specifications list no software. That makes the headset less compelling if you want extensive headset-specific tuning or more elaborate physical controls.

It is worth considering if you want one headset that can switch among 2.4GHz, Bluetooth and wired use, and you value low weight and straightforward gaming-chat functionality. Published reviews identify comfort and microphone clarity as strengths. The strongest reasons to look elsewhere are the basic controls and limited customization, or a need for a feature the evidence does not establish—such as Xbox compatibility, active noise cancellation or a user-replaceable battery.
