Save an editable CDR copy before exporting: other formats may not preserve every feature in your CorelDRAW document. For image files, use File > Export; for a PDF, use File > Publish to PDF. The steps below follow Corel’s documented Windows workflow. Labels and options can vary by operating system, edition, and release.
Choose the right output before exporting
PNG and JPEG are raster image formats suited to image use and sharing; PDF is a document format for delivery, printing, or archiving. Corel describes PDF as a format intended to preserve the fonts, images, graphics, and formatting of the original application file (Corel: Export to PDF).
First save the working document in CorelDRAW’s native CDR format. Corel warns that some file formats do not support all CDR features, so an exported copy should not replace the editable source (Corel: Export files).
Before exporting, decide what the output should include: the document, the current page, pages as separate files, or selected objects. The available scope controls depend on the format and installed version. CorelDRAW also supports additional formats, but not every format filter is necessarily installed; if a desired format is missing, Corel says the installation may need updating (Corel: Supported file formats).

How do I export a CorelDRAW file to PNG?
- In the documented Windows workflow, open File > Export.
- Choose the destination folder, select PNG in the format list, and enter a filename.
- Set the export scope using the options available in your version, such as the current page, pages saved to separate files, or selected objects.
- Choose whether to crop to the page boundary. If enabled, artwork outside the page is omitted; inspect the edges first if you intentionally placed bleed or other artwork beyond the page.
- Click Export and review the PNG-specific options shown by your installed version. Match dimensions, transparency, and color requirements to the destination rather than relying on a universal setting.
Corel documents page-boundary cropping for PNG and notes that it can reduce file size. Anything beyond the page edge is cropped in the exported image (Corel: Export files).
How do I save a CorelDRAW image as a JPEG?
- Choose File > Export.
- Select the destination, choose JPEG from the format list, and enter a filename.
- Choose the applicable scope: current page, separate files for pages, or selected objects, as supported by your version and export format.
- Enable page-boundary cropping only if you want the JPEG limited to the page. Content outside the boundary—including intentional bleed—will not appear.
- Click Export and review the JPEG options in the dialog. Choose dimensions and quality to suit the intended use and the controls your release actually provides.
Corel’s documented workflow supports page-boundary cropping for JPEG as well as PNG. The resulting image excludes off-page artwork (Corel: Export files).

How do I export a CorelDRAW file to PDF?
- Choose File > Publish to PDF.
- Enter the output filename and choose a preset that matches the recipient and purpose.
- Open the settings and check the export range. Confirm whether you are publishing the complete document, a page, or a selection.
- For print delivery, confirm the required PDF standard, color handling, and settings with the print provider before publishing.
- Publish the PDF, then inspect the resulting file for the expected pages and appearance.
Corel’s detailed PDF instructions and preset descriptions come from an older help path, so preset names and behavior may differ in your release. Check the options shown in your installed version (Corel: Exporting documents as PDF files).

Check the exported file before sending it
- Open the output and confirm that the intended page, selection, or set of pages was exported.
- For PNG or JPEG, inspect page edges for unwanted cropping and check that dimensions and appearance suit the destination.
- For PDF, verify the page range and confirm the recipient’s print or delivery requirements have been met.
- If a format is unavailable in the export list, check whether the relevant filter is installed or whether the CorelDRAW installation needs updating.
