If a cordless leg massager will not charge, first identify its exact model and follow that model’s manual for the cable, input rating, indicator light and charging procedure. If you cannot identify the model, stop before trying a replacement adapter or battery. Ask the seller or manufacturer to confirm compatibility. A product listing, a USB symbol or the shape of a socket is not enough to establish the correct electrical setup.

Work through these charging checks in order
1. Switch the massager off
Turn the unit off before connecting it unless the manual explicitly permits charging while operating. Some products stop their massage functions when plugged in, and the correct charging behavior is model-dependent. Starting with the device off also makes the indicator easier to interpret and avoids confusing a low-battery shutdown with a charging fault.
If the controls remain lit after you press the power button, use the shutdown method described in the manual rather than repeatedly pressing buttons or trying to force a session while the cable is attached. Note whether the product is designed to reject charging during operation.
2. Inspect the cable, adapter and port

3. Seat the connector fully
Insert the plug straight and completely. A partially seated Type-C connector may power intermittently or fail to trigger the charge indicator. Keep the massager and cable still for a moment after connection and check whether the manual’s expected light appears.
Do not hold the connector sideways to keep a light on. If charging works only when the cable is bent, angled or pressed, disconnect it and report a likely cable or port problem to the seller or manufacturer.
4. Use the specified input

5. Confirm the indicator meaning
Observe the light or button for the amount of time specified in the manual. A red light may mean charging on one model and low battery on another; a green light may mean full charge or simply normal operation. Record whether the indicator is steady, flashing or absent, then compare that behavior with the model’s instructions.
Write down what happens immediately after connection, after several minutes and at the end of the charge period. This is more useful than describing the light as simply “not working,” because support can compare the sequence with the model’s documented behavior.
6. Allow a complete charge cycle
Give the unit the normal charging time stated for its model and leave it switched off during that period if the manual requires it. Do not judge battery health from a short top-up. When charging is complete, disconnect it and note the starting indication or battery level before testing runtime.
If the indicator never reaches the manual’s full-charge condition, do not call the runtime test a battery-life test yet. The massager may be reporting an incomplete charge, a cable or adapter problem, or a fault in the charging circuit.
7. Try a known-good, approved charging setup
If the manual permits the arrangement, test with another cable or power source that meets the same stated specification. Change one item at a time so you can identify whether the fault follows the cable, adapter or massager. Never use an unverified high-output source merely because the plug fits.
Keep the original setup available until the test is complete. If a second approved cable restores the expected indication, tell support which cable failed rather than assuming the battery is defective.
8. Check for physical or environmental causes
Stop charging if the cable, connector or massager becomes unusually hot, smells burnt, swells, leaks or shows other damage. Keep the unit dry and on a stable, nonflammable surface while charging. Do not continue testing a port that is visibly cracked or loose.

Do not open the housing to inspect an internal battery. The manuals and safety guidance do not establish a universal battery-disassembly procedure for this product category, so an internal fault belongs with manufacturer-authorized service.

9. Recheck after reconnecting
Disconnect the cable, wait briefly, then reconnect it with the massager off. If the expected indicator appears only when the plug is held at an angle, the port or cable may be damaged; do not keep bending the connector to maintain contact.
One careful reconnection can rule out a loose seating issue. Repeatedly plugging and unplugging a visibly loose port is unlikely to repair it and can make the damage worse.
10. Escalate when the expected indication never appears

Do not reset the unit or replace a battery merely because it stops at a displayed percentage. First determine whether that percentage is the model’s documented warning or shutdown threshold.
Decide whether the runtime is genuinely abnormal
After a verified full charge, repeat the test under consistent settings. If the unit still loses charge unusually quickly, or charging does not improve usage time, contact the manufacturer.
