Coolpad’s wide-format Android phone is planned to go on sale in China in October 2026 for RMB 999, according to Shanghai Droi Technology. The company calls it the world’s first wide-format smartphone built for agentic AI, but that priority claim has not been independently established. Its exact release date and final hardware specifications remain unconfirmed.
What Coolpad has announced
Shanghai Droi Technology’s September 14, 2026 announcement names Coolpad as the phone’s maker and DroiClaw 3 as its software. The company describes the device as a wide-format smartphone designed around agentic AI—software that can coordinate tasks across supported apps and tools.
The company says the phone has a wider body and a 10:16 display, intended to give text, media, system controls, and AI tasks more room. Those are announcement descriptions, not findings from independent testing. Shanghai Droi Technology’s phrase “world’s first” refers to its claimed combination of wide-format hardware and agentic smartphone functions; the announcement does not independently establish market-wide priority. Read the company announcement.
Price and expected launch timing
The company-stated planned price is RMB 999, with sales expected in China in October 2026. That is an announced price and schedule, not a verified retail price or confirmation that sales have started. On October 11, iXBT reported that Coolpad’s Mobile Flagship Store account on Xiaohongshu had announced the RMB 999 price, while noting that a precise release date and full specifications had not been disclosed. - 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
What is known about DroiClaw 3
Shanghai Droi Technology says DroiClaw 3 connects supported apps and tools, routes tasks, and supports Android AppFunctions and MCP. The company also describes a hybrid edge-cloud architecture, local data handling, permission-based access, and security controls. These are the company’s descriptions; the announcement does not provide independent validation of how specific tasks perform, what data each task processes locally, or which services will be supported at launch.
Why the hardware specifications are still uncertain
Available reports do not agree on the display ratio. The company announcement says 10:16, while iXBT describes a possible 16:9 screen based on images and says the panel type is unconfirmed. Technetbook reports a 6.3-inch, 720p, 16:10 LCD and a MediaTek Helio G99, drawing on early retail information and images. Those detailed claims are not consistent enough to treat as final specifications. Read Technetbook’s report.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
No reviewed source confirms a final full specification sheet. In particular, the display ratio, resolution, panel type, and chipset should be considered unsettled until Coolpad or Shanghai Droi Technology publishes definitive retail specifications.

The announced market is China. International availability, a definitive retail model name, and an exact sale date have not been established by the available reports. Before considering a purchase, look for an official listing that identifies the model and confirms the display dimensions and ratio, resolution, panel, chipset, software support, and whether AI actions rely on local processing, cloud services, or both. Until model identity and dimensions are confirmed, accessory compatibility cannot be established.
