Coolify’s “No Available Server” page means Traefik, the reverse proxy, cannot find a healthy container for the HTTPS router that matches the requested domain. The message is a routing symptom, not proof that your DNS, certificate, build, or whole server is down. Start by checking container health and logs, then verify the internal port, bind address, domain assignment, and Traefik logs in that order.
What “No Available Server” means in Coolify
When you open a Coolify-managed domain, the request normally travels through DNS to your server, reaches Traefik, and is then forwarded to the application container selected by the matching router. Traefik returns “No Available Server” when that router has no healthy backend it can use.

| Layer | What to verify | Typical evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Deployment | The latest deployment finished and the process stayed running | Deployment logs show a completed release; Runtime Logs show the application starting without an immediate exit |
| Container | The target container is running and healthy | docker ps shows an active container without an (unhealthy) status |
| Health check | The configured command or HTTP path succeeds inside the container | The same request returns the expected success response from Coolify’s Terminal |
| Network | The application listens on the exposed internal port and on a reachable address | The process listens on the port configured in Coolify and binds to 0.0.0.0 |
| Routing | The requested hostname, DNS record, service assignment, and generated proxy labels agree | Traefik logs show a router and backend for the expected domain |
Do this first: the recommended diagnostic order
Change one layer at a time. If you alter DNS, ports, health checks, and proxy settings together, you lose the evidence that identifies the original fault.

- Confirm the deployment result. In Coolify, open the application’s deployment logs and Runtime Logs. Look for an image-pull failure, build error, missing environment variable, startup exception, dependency failure, or a process that exits immediately.
- Check the container state on the server. Run the status command below. Identify the container belonging to the affected resource and read both its status and published-port information.
- Test the configured health check from inside the container. Use the application’s Terminal and run the same command or HTTP request configured in Coolify. Verify the path, expected response, executable, and internal port.
- Check the listening address and port. Confirm that the process listens on the internal port shown in Coolify’s Ports Exposes setting and binds to
0.0.0.0, not only127.0.0.1. - Verify the domain and DNS. Compare the hostname in Coolify character for character with the hostname in your browser, including any
wwwvariant. Confirm that DNS points to the server’s public IP and that the domain is attached to the intended service and port. - Read Traefik’s logs. In Coolify, open Servers → [Your Server] → Proxy → Logs. Look for Docker API compatibility errors, missing routers, backend errors, or label problems.
- Consider deployment timing. If the error appears only while updating, inspect health-check timing and rolling-update behavior before changing a stable domain or proxy configuration.
Check whether the container is running and healthy
Run the container-status command
On the Coolify server, run:
docker ps --format "table {{.Names}}t{{.Status}}t{{.Ports}}"
Find the container associated with the affected application. A normal running state is useful, but it is not sufficient: a container can be running while its web process is dead or failing its health check. A status containing (unhealthy) is a strong lead. If the container is absent, the deployment may have failed, the process may have exited, or the replacement may not have been created.
Use logs to identify why health fails
Open Coolify Runtime Logs and the deployment logs. Look for startup crashes, failed database or cache connections, migrations that stop the process, missing secrets, permission errors, and an application that binds to a different port than expected. Fix the underlying startup problem and redeploy rather than repeatedly restarting an unhealthy container.
Distinguish “running” from “ready”
Traefik needs a backend that passes the health conditions used by the resource. A process can take several seconds to initialize, listen only after a migration, or return errors until a dependency is available. During that interval, the container may be listed as running while Traefik has no usable server.
Fix failed or incorrectly configured health checks
Why a health check produces this error
Coolify documents that when every application container is unhealthy, Traefik can return either “404 Not Found” or “No available server.” The proxy is therefore reporting the result of the health state; it is not necessarily reporting a missing DNS record.
Check the command, path, and response
Open the application’s health-check settings and record exactly what is being tested. Then use the application’s Terminal to run the same request or command inside the container. Confirm all of the following:
- The URL path exists in the deployed image and does not require an authentication header that the check does not send.
- The request uses the application’s internal listening port, not a host-published port.
- The endpoint returns the success status or output expected by the health-check configuration.
- The application is ready by the time the check runs; account for legitimate startup and migration time.
- The command can actually execute in the final image.
Install the checker in the final image
Dashboard-configured HTTP checks execute inside the application container. The final image must contain curl or wget if the configured check uses one of those tools. Installing the utility on the deployment server does not satisfy a check that runs in the container.
Recommended Free Tools
If the image is minimal, add the required package in its Dockerfile, rebuild, and redeploy. Verify availability from the application Terminal with the same binary and arguments used by the health check.

Compose applications need an explicit service check
For Docker Compose applications, define the health check in the relevant Compose service or image. Do not assume the standard application Healthcheck page will automatically describe a Compose service. The check must target the service that Traefik routes to and must use that service’s internal port.
Test a health endpoint without changing the public route
A useful endpoint should be lightweight and deterministic: it should confirm that the web process is accepting requests and return the expected success response without depending on an unrelated optional feature. Test it internally first. Only after it succeeds should you use the public domain to verify the complete proxy path.
Correct the internal port and exposed-port settings
Internal port versus host-published port
Traefik routes to the port where the process listens inside the container. That is different from a host-published port shown in a Docker ports mapping. For example, a mapping may expose a host port for other purposes while the application itself listens on another internal port. Entering the host port as the service’s internal destination can leave Traefik with no working backend.

Compare these values and make them agree:
- The port on which the application process actually listens inside the container.
- Coolify’s Ports Exposes value.
- The port referenced by the health check.
- The port included in the Coolify domain value when the internal port is not 80.
- Any Compose service port declaration or Dockerfile metadata used to describe the service.
Coolify’s Compose guidance requires the internal listening port in the domain value when it is not port 80. The first-application example uses nginx:alpine with Ports Exposes set to 80; your application must use its own actual listening port rather than copying that example blindly.
Find the process’s real listening port
Use the application’s Terminal or the container’s diagnostic tools to determine which port the process opened. Then compare that result with Coolify’s configuration. If the process listens on 3000 but Coolify routes to 8080, either change the application’s listen setting or update the exposed and domain port settings to 3000, followed by a redeploy.
Make the process listen on 0.0.0.0
A process bound to 127.0.0.1 inside its container accepts connections only from the container’s own loopback interface. It may pass a test executed inside the container while remaining unreachable from Traefik, which connects through the container network.
Change the framework bind address
Set the framework or server’s host option to 0.0.0.0. The exact setting depends on the application, but the result must be the same: the service listens on all container interfaces. Update the Dockerfile, startup command, or environment variable that controls the host, then redeploy.

Verify after redeployment
- Use Coolify’s Terminal to make a request to the application on its internal port.
- Confirm that the health check now succeeds from inside the container.
- Check the container status for a healthy state.
- Open the public domain and confirm that Traefik can now forward the request.
If the internal request works but the public request does not, stop changing the application and move to domain, DNS, and proxy diagnostics.
Fix a domain or DNS mismatch
Match the hostname exactly
Compare the domain configured in Coolify with the hostname requested by the browser. Differences that matter include www versus the bare domain, a typo, an unexpected subdomain, or a router attached to a different resource. Assign the hostname to the intended service and confirm that its internal port is correct.
Verify DNS points to the right server
Confirm that the relevant DNS record resolves to the Coolify server’s public IP. If the record points to an old server, Traefik on the new server will never receive the request. Check each hostname separately; a bare domain and its www variant may have different records.
Do not treat a valid certificate as proof of a healthy backend
TLS can succeed while the application route has no healthy container. A valid certificate confirms that the HTTPS endpoint and certificate selection are working; it does not clear the health-check, port, bind-address, or backend-routing layers. Continue with container and proxy checks when the certificate is valid but the page still says “No Available Server.”
Account for brief downtime during deployment replacement
Coolify lists deployment replacement windows as another cause. During an update, the old container may already be removed while the new container is still starting or failing its health check. The public domain can therefore show “No Available Server” for the interval in which no healthy replacement is available.
When this explanation fits
Consider replacement timing when the error appears only during updates and clears after a successful deployment. Inspect deployment logs and the health-check timing before changing DNS or rewriting proxy labels.
Use health checks to protect the old version
Health checks allow Coolify to wait for a ready replacement and can preserve the healthy version when the new check fails. Make the check represent real readiness, give the application enough time to initialize, and avoid weakening the check merely to make a rollout appear successful.

Separate a rollout gap from a persistent fault
A brief error limited to the replacement interval points toward rollout timing. An error that continues after the new container is healthy requires investigation of the port, bind address, domain assignment, or Traefik configuration instead.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Inspect Traefik and Docker API errors
Read the proxy logs in Coolify
Open Servers → [Your Server] → Proxy → Logs. Look for messages indicating that Traefik cannot query Docker, cannot create a router, cannot find a backend, or rejected generated configuration. These entries can distinguish an application-level health problem from a proxy-level failure.
Check for Docker API compatibility problems
Coolify documents underlying Traefik issues such as a Docker API version mismatch. If proxy logs show an API compatibility error, treat it as a proxy/server compatibility problem rather than changing the application’s health endpoint. Record the exact error and affected resource before applying a version-specific correction.
Investigate missing service-port labels
A documented Coolify issue records custom-domain failures when labels such as traefik.http.services.*.loadbalancer.server.port are missing. Confirm the generated labels on the affected container and compare them with a newly deployed test service. Treat label behavior as version- or resource-specific; do not make broad proxy changes based only on the browser message.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Limit proxy changes to the affected scope
If one service has incorrect labels while other Coolify applications route normally, fix that resource or redeploy it first. A global Traefik change can interrupt every domain on the server and may hide the original configuration error.
Use the symptom to choose the next check
| Observed symptom | Most useful next check | Why |
|---|---|---|
Container is missing from docker ps |
Deployment logs and process exit reason | There is no backend for Traefik to select |
Container shows (unhealthy) |
Run the configured health check internally | The proxy may be correctly rejecting an unhealthy backend |
| Internal health request fails on the expected path | Application route, startup dependencies, and checker tool | The failure is inside the image or application |
| Internal request works but the public domain fails | Bind address, domain assignment, DNS, and proxy logs | The application is ready but the network or router path is not |
| Only a non-80 service fails | Coolify domain port and Ports Exposes values | The internal destination may be wrong |
| Only updates trigger the page | Replacement timing and rolling-update health checks | The old backend may disappear before the new one is ready |
| Several unrelated services fail together | Traefik logs and Docker API connectivity | A proxy or Docker integration problem is more likely than one application bug |
Recovery procedure after identifying the cause
For a stopped or crashing container
- Read the deployment and Runtime Logs to identify the first startup error.
- Correct the failed dependency, environment variable, command, image, or permission.
- Redeploy the resource.
- Wait for the container to become healthy, then test the internal endpoint and public domain.
For a failed health check
- Run the exact check in the application Terminal.
- Correct the path, expected response, port, or command.
- Add
curlorwgetto the final image if required. - For Compose, define the check in the service or image.
- Redeploy and confirm a healthy container before testing externally.
For a port or bind-address error
- Determine the process’s internal listening port.
- Set Coolify’s Ports Exposes and domain port to that value.
- Configure the process to bind to
0.0.0.0. - Redeploy, then test from the container and through the domain.
For a domain or DNS error
- Correct the hostname assigned to the resource in Coolify.
- Correct the DNS record for that exact hostname and public IP.
- Check bare and
wwwnames independently. - Wait for the corrected record to resolve, then test the route again.
For a Traefik or label error
- Capture the relevant Proxy Logs entry.
- Inspect generated labels on the affected container.
- Compare with a newly deployed test service.
- Apply the narrowest resource- or version-specific correction and verify that unrelated services remain available.
Prevent the error on future deployments
- Keep a real readiness check. Test a stable endpoint that proves the web process is ready, not merely that a shell command can run.
- Build required diagnostics into the image. If the health check calls
curlorwget, include it in the final runtime image. - Document the internal port. Keep the application’s listen setting, Dockerfile or Compose configuration, Coolify Ports Exposes value, domain port, and health-check port synchronized.
- Bind for container networking. Use
0.0.0.0for services that must receive traffic from Traefik. - Allow realistic startup time. Account for migrations and dependency initialization in health-check timing.
- Validate both hostname variants. Decide whether the bare domain,
www, or both should route and configure DNS and Coolify accordingly. - Review proxy logs after infrastructure changes. Docker or Traefik upgrades can expose API compatibility and label-generation problems that application logs will not show.
- Test one change at a time. A controlled sequence preserves the evidence needed to identify whether the fault is the container, health check, network, domain, or proxy.
What not to infer from the message
“No Available Server” does not identify one universal root cause. It does not, by itself, prove that DNS is wrong, that TLS failed, that the build failed, or that the server is completely offline. The same response can result from an unhealthy container, an incorrect health-check command, a wrong internal port, a localhost-only bind, a hostname mismatch, a short replacement window, or a Traefik/Docker integration problem.
The reliable way to resolve it is to collect the container status, health-check result, application logs, domain and DNS values, and proxy logs in sequence. Once those layers agree, the browser error normally disappears without a broad server rebuild or an indiscriminate proxy restart.
